unpopular opinion: sometimes... fandom isn't that important. sometimes fandom isn't "that deep" to someone. sometimes people don't interact within the fandom and like to watch from afar. sometimes people just want to look at cool art or read cool fanfics, and that's it.

let's normalize fandom being a hobby or an interest and not a lifestyle. normalize taking a step back, taking time off and disconnecting from fandom without feeling bad. it's okay and healthy to prioritize yourself over media instead of consuming it 24/7. it's okay to set boundaries and enjoy something the way you need.

My first foray into Copic markers is finished! I totally get what all the fuss is about now. I had no idea these markers could produce images like this until suddenly it was happening! I did touch up the shadows in Photoshop (Copics are quite expensive, and I just couldn’t justify spending an additional $60 for an additional set of warm gray markers. Not yet, anyway.)

Anyway, It’s interesting to see the difference between the art I do digitally and the art I do in natural media. It’s a bit like exercising a different muscle. Either way, I hope you guys like it. :)

When Simon woke up, he wouldn’t talk. Just drank all the tea we gave him and clung to Baz’s arm.

I finally finished the comic for this small scene of Simon looking for Baz when he was afraid. They sleeping in the same room was a goal by the time (🤫) and actually after two books I still found it as a very sweet moment, because that last line “than I have since winter break started” was Simon’s way to say “I’ve been missing you” and it was a total high point of feelings the first time I read Carry On.
