I’m considering coming out to my family as non-binary, and so today I brought up the subject of non-binary gendering/transgendering with my Dad as a casual conversational topic. He’s told me that if somebody is born a boy then they “should stay a fucking boy” and not trans to a girl or be a boy some days/girl other days/genderless other days.
I told him that I think gender identity should be something one can choose for themselves, and he says that nobody thinks like that and anybody who is trans/non-binary will just be shunned by every member of society they meet. He doesn’t think that people support n-b/t communities, because he doesn’t. He says to me that not staying one’s natural gender is wrong and against the point of being born a boy/girl.
Every person who reblogs this will have their URL written in a full-size writing book and when it is full I will show it to my father to illustrate to him the amount of people who believe that being non-binary is a valid gender identity.

Not my normal post, but please spread this around!! I live fairly close to the fires and I know that is bad and how frightened they are! I lost my house in a fire once and the experience was traumatic. So if you, or someone you know lives in the area of the Paradise, or Malibu fires, please do this or share it if you don’t!
i need to get something off my chest.
people don’t realize just how hard it is growing up with selfish parents who turn situations back onto themselves.
you’re never allowed a bad day because your mom or dad has always had it worse.
someone reported me to the guidance office in high school bc they saw my scars and they had to call my mom. When I got home that night my mom was in tears.
“do you know how hard it was to get a phone call like that while at work?” as if I wasn’t the one actually living through this shit. She wasn’t upset about the self harm she was upset about getting bothered at work.
later that night she told me she used to cut too.
“except I did it where it actually hurt,” she said motioning to her wrists. as if my cuts were nothing in comparison bc I chose to draw the lines on my legs and stomach instead.
when i begged for medication to try to help whatever was going on in my head, she got mad saying “medication doesn’t work” all because it didnt work for her. She wasn’t willing to even let me try it out.
my parents had a very negative reaction to finding out I had a girlfriend. A few weeks later they went through my phone and saw that I was venting to a friend about how hard it is living with them.
my dad yelled at me and talked about his childhood and coming home to alcoholic parents fighting and screaming.
“You have no idea how hard it is. Is that what you want? You think this is so bad? You think your mom and I are so horrible? Your life is perfect. ” I wonder if he would have kept yelling if I had told him he was looking an awful lot like his father.
i envy people who’s parents believe them when they tell them they don’t want to live anymore. i envy people who are able to get the help they need.
i envy people with parents that actually listen to them.

Ana water fast tracker ✨
So, whenever I fast for a long time I tend to lose motivation quite often. If you have the same problem, here’s something you can do.
You make a long stripe of paper, glue multiple stripes together bc it has to be quite long, and then you devide it in however many hours you’re fasting (I did 48 hours). Then you write down the hours from 1 to 48 from top to bottom and hang it on the wall.
Every time you make it through one hour you can cut off a piece from the bottom and then see how many hours you have left. Try to make it all the way to the top star and you made it through your fast!!
It’s very motivating to see the stripe get shorter and shorter with each hour, it’s like making your way to the top, literally!
I got this idea from my grandma, we used to do this to count down the days until my birthday when I was little. I’m using it now to count down the hours of my fast but you can use it for literally anything.
It might seem silly but I do this every time and it’s awesome!
