I saw an interesting technique for drawing faces and eyes at an angle, so I decided to try it with Ryis 🥹

He's been next on my list of Mistria characters to draw, and I'm really happy with how he turned out! His preference for warm color clothing overlaps with my own preferences, so his outfit was very fun to experiment with.

Im trying to figure out how i want to do my colors cause I know in general i want my work to be on the warmer side but I'm not sure if I want to loose how other colors will look if I do that.

When I was training to be a battered women’s advocate, my supervisor said something that really blew my mind:

“You can always assume one thing about your clients; and that is that they are doing their best. Always assume everyone is doing their best. And if they’re having a day where their best just isn’t that great, or their best doesn’t look like your best, you have to be okay with that.”

Any now whenever anyone in my life, either a friend or a client, frustrates me, disappoints me, or pisses me off, I just tell myself They are doing their best. Their best isn’t that great today, but I have days where my best isn’t that great either.

I’m really enamored with the dynamic of two characters who work perfectly in tandem, like pacific rim drift compatible level, but they don’t like each other. It’s not even as strong an emotion as hate it’s just a very neutral-negative dislike, but they still act in perfect concert and their individual abilities are fully complementary
