✧ "Does... this sort of thing happen often?" Ralsei asked with genuine concern after handing them their arm. Someone had pulled on it and run off, but it had been removed in the process. From the point of view of someone that didn't know better it had been a very shocking thing to witness!

But the Darkner had rushed to their aid! He'd seen stranger from Darkners anyways.

"I'm sorry, that must be terribly inconvenient for you. But I guess it's better than permanenty losing a limb."

✧ "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to mistake you for a monster! It's just, as you can see, the people where I come from are very different than most of the people here..." Ralsei was embarrassed. The woman had looked more like a monster than a human, but it was apparently the other way around?

Or that was what he was assuming. She hadn't given a very clear answer.

"Let me make it up to you somehow! I could..." Nothing came to mind immediately. "Well, is there anything you need help with?"

✧ "I thought I heard music! I'm surprised to find someone playing so late at night, though." It wasn't like Ralsei wasn't used to the dark, so he had no problem wandering around at night. Even then, the park he'd found the musician in was pretty well lit.

He had taken some time to listen to it.

"I'm no expert when it comes to music by any means, but I can tell there's something sentimental behind it." It was like when Kris played the piano.

✧ "Oh, um... I'm not really a monster! In the sense that I'm not dangerous! I guess I technically am a monster?" From the point of view of a human unfamiliar with the Dark World, there probably wasn't a difference between a Darkner and a regular monster. "I'd like to think that regardless of what I am, I'm still a "person"."

Ralsei was unsure of the man's intentions, but he continued to smile reassuringly.

"This is a little strange, but are you a user of magic? I can... sense it in a way, although faint." He couldn't have known the man's very existence was magic in a way though.

✧ "Excuse me, miss? I hope this doesn't sound rude, but are you a human...? I haven't seen any humans with features like yours before." Ralsei was doing his best to keep it together. He was in a strange land where the prophecy didn't matter. He was able to interact with Lightners... He was way out of his element, for better or worse.

"I'm... obviously not human myself. I come from a place where they aren't very common, actually."

✧ "Flowery, you...!? ...I guess that must be how things work here, huh? For a Darkner, partial or not, it doesn't matter what our condition is back home?" Considering what the Knight had done to the flower man, Ralsei didn't think he'd ever meet him again. Then again, he wasn't expecting to walk among Lightners either.

His feelings about this reunion were complicated. The prince would be lying if he said he didn't still harbor some disdain towards the golden flower, but he'd shown them the strength of his resolve and had even sacrificed himself.

Ralsei couldn't help but admire the lengths he'd go to in order to see his ideals through.

"...You're about to say something that's going to make me regret being sentimental, aren't you?" That just felt like it was on par for the course when it came to their interactions.

✧ - "Susie! I'm glad to run into someone that I know! There are a lot of humans around here, huh?" From Susie's point of view it might have seemed like Ralsei had just appeared (even though he'd totally walked there on his own two feet). But the boardwalk was crowded and she was a lot taller than him, so she tended to tower over the crowd while he blended into it.

Well, it was kind of Ralsei's thing to show up unannounced by this point.

"I never expected I'd be able to walk about in the sunshine! I didn't know it would feel so warm covered in fur!" Maybe a little too warm...
