it’s funny when people have this debate over “x walks y like a dog” when it comes to hollanov because both extremes are untrue to their relationship and misunderstand their dynamic but also shane and ilya are both loser4loser. down bad 4 down bad.

meanwhile very-closeted-repressed-and-anxious-about-anyone-finding-out-that-he’s-gay shane was willing to suck ilya in a public bathroom after months of ilya not talking to him and also immediately caves when he was strictly Anti Getting A Puppy because he sees how happy it makes ilya, and it takes almost no convincing and would likely be open for more if it made ilya happy. drops his anxieties about coming out when he realizes how life is so fragile and immediately proposes to ilya and plans a way for them to come out sooner than he ever imagined previously. dreamed of situations where ilya would meet his parents months before him and ilya were officially a couple.
