♡ Your girlfriend is an artist, one of the best in the world at that.
♡ You, however, are the opposite. That’s okay, kind of funny if anything.
♡ But, when your ultimate artist girlfriend comes to you eager to work on a painting together, it kind of sucks.
♡ “Angie, honey, I’m not sure it’s going to turn out like the way you might be visualising…”
♡ “So? What nonsense you speak, Y/N!” was what you were met with, “Art is the expression of the soul, skill means nothing!”
♡ “You say that, but when you look over to my attempt at a stick man…”
♡ She took your hand in hers, puppy dog eyes almost immediately on full display.
♡ “Please, Y/N? Angie thinks it would be super thrilling!”
♡ Well, how can you say no to that face? How could you deny such an innocent little question?
♡ “Okay,” you caved, a smile creeping up your face, “What did you have in mind?”
♡ Honestly, Angie’s really chill.
♡ She’s passionate about her own side of the picture, a woman gone mad in her natural element.
♡ But she’s very encouraging towards you.
♡ She knows art isn’t your strong suit, but she’s so grateful you actually have taken the time to do this with her.
♡ She didn’t give you a prompt, just set you out half of the canvas and told you to do what you feel.
♡ Which to her is the easiest thing ever, but not for you.
♡ Did it look like you had just splattered a bunch of colours together with pencil lines streaking through? Maybe…
♡ But, you had meaning behind it. A story of emotions, your reasonings as to why you did it the way you did it.
♡ That’s all Angie wanted.
♡ Well, that and to be able to spend time with you.
♡ She has it framed in the hallway and gushes about it to everyone.
♡ “Angie’s partner painted this half! Look at it, look at the individualism!”
