I find it interesting that Akechi learns the skill to protect Joker before he learns endure. This is because he values Joker’s life over his own at this point and he’s come to terms with his previous anger, given that he’s aware that he should be dead at this point.

its actually intrinsically story relevent because rank 9 and 10 take place in the engine room so he protects joker from cognitive akechi after getting rank 9 and then after doing so reaches rank 10 and learns endure and thats how he surivives past the collapse of maruki's reality to appear in the ending only if you maxed out his sl!
