I am the man you should be with
Bloodstream || Flynnie (closed)
Flynn couldnât help but chuckle at her question. He examined the brunette for a moment before replying. âDoes that fiery personality of yours usually do a good job at driving others a way?â he asked, an amused expression still on his face. Normally the vampire didnât take too kindly to those who werenât intimidated by his presence, especially when dealing with humans. Given his personality, Flynn wasnât the type to think twice before offing another supernatural, much less a human. Humans, as far as he was concerned, were beneath them. Rarely, if ever, did he come across a human like this. Ever more rarely did he come across a human like this and not kill them. She resembled a hunter too much for her own good.
"You said it yourself love, they could come back at any second," he reminded her, his eyes roaming around there just to amuse her. Flynn would be able to pick up the mans scent, or any other humans, from miles away. They had nothing to worry about. Or at least he didnât. Depending on if the human helped him or not, maybe heâd be kind enough to spare her from her friends. "I get the feeling you donât like being indebted to others, I can relate," he began, his blue eyes watching her again. "Iâm looking for someone. You point me in the right direction and I make sure your little friends donât come running back here demanding answers."
A grin slowly made itâs way back onto the vampire face as he noticed the slightly pensive look on the womans face. âWhat do you say, love? We help each other out and then we go our separate ways. Itâs a win for the both of us.â
For the first time since heâd saved her, Ronnieâs lips pulled upwards in a triumphant smile. âYep, it does.â she grinned. Ronnie probably shouldnât be, but she was somewhat proud of the fact that she did a good job of scaring most people off. It explained why nearly everyone she hung out with was practically a ruffian themselves.
Her smile shifted slightly though as he verbalized his proposal. It sounded like a good deal. Almost too good to be true, in fact. Surely, there was something else in it for him. He didnât seem like the type to make a deal that benefitted the other party just as much, if not more than himself. But then again⊠he had stepped in when he had absolutely no reason to earlier. She couldnât believe she was actually considering making a deal with a vampire. Especially one as cocky as this one. But then again, if it meant heâd leave her aloneâŠÂ
"Who is it?" she asked after several moments, surprising even herself as she did so. The sooner this night and this conversation could be over with, the better for Ronnie.Â
A triumphant smile formed on the vampires face, much matching the one that was currently on the womans. He knew she wouldn't have been able to resist. Flynn was one step closer to finding Ceclia's descendant, and the brunette before him would finally have the much needed distance that she apparently needed from the imbeciles in the alley. Like he said, it was a win for both of them.
"I'm looking for an old family friend," he began, tearing his eyes away from the brunette and looking around them for a moment. Family friend was hardly the right word, but he wasn't planning on going into specifics with a total stranger. "Veronica Cothry. And before you start questioning my motives, I can assure you I won't harm the girl," he added, turning his attention back to her now. "But I won't further waste your time or mine, love, so I'll spare the details."
At this point Flynn was growing impatient, more so with Christian and Alys circling in on him and Veronica, wherever she may be. Oxford wasn't a big town but finding her could take days. At this point, the vampire was more than willing to glamour or even kill a few people in order to finally find her (it's not like he hadn't done it before). The woman standing in front of him wouldn't be an exception. "Just point me in the right direction."

Flynn chuckled at her words. While the vampire had found himself in some rough spots with humans in the past, he knew there was a better chance of him miraculously walking in the daylight than Oxford citizens coming after him. After eliminating the Carsons, and a couple of the Bellefrys, Flynn had no intentions of dealing with humans now. Minus a particular one he was looking for, of course. âIâve been around for centuries love,â he pointed out, a grin still on his face, âa group of mindless humans running around with stakes is nothing I havenât dealt with before.â
He glanced over at the woman who still wore a smirk on her lips. She was definitely something, that was for sure. Considering the vampire planned it to be an uneventful night, he was almost glad he decided to intervene back there. It had been years since a human had managed to capture his attention. Or keep him entertained. âIf anything, you seem like you have your boyfriend on a tight leash. Luckily for me, I have you around in case they come back anytime soon,â he added, sarcasm dripping from his words. âThen we can call it even.âÂ
Normally Flynn didnât help others unless it was to his benefit somehow, but this was different. He didnât expect anything from this woman. Clearly she had caught the vampire on a good night because there really was no other explanation.
She rolled her eyes at his response. Of course she would run into a really old vampire the first time she ran into any vampire at all. âLucky for you.â she sighed, doing her best not to laugh at his remark about her having Logan on a tight leash. If only! Ronnie was so tired of being Loganâs little slave, around to do whatever he please. She liked to pretend like she was independent and didnât take anyoneâs shit. And yet, for years now, sheâd allowed herself to be manipulated and controlled by the biggest asshole in town. Ronnie really wasnât as tough as she liked to think she was.Â
"How bout we say that my presence is scary enough that theyâre staying away, so weâre even now?" she suggested, cocking a brow as she actually turned to face him, smiling as if she was offering him this great deal. She really didnât like the thought of being indebted to anyone, especially some age-old vampire.Â
Flynn couldn't help but chuckle at her question. He examined the brunette for a moment before replying. "Does that fiery personality of yours usually do a good job at driving others a way?" he asked, an amused expression still on his face. Don't I Know You From Somewhere? | Flynn & Lill (closed)
Flynn was taking the longer route back to his home after paying Christian a visit. The reunion had gone basically how the vampire had expected it would; it was always the same story with his progeny. Still, the tension between the maker and his progeny was different this time around. It was simply due to the fact that they were both in race to find Alysâ descendant.Â
It was the main reason why Flynn had bothered to return to Oxford after all these years but it wasnât the only reason.
"Lilliana Carson," he spoke, his surprised but gentle, so the wouldnât startle the brunette. It had been nearly ten years since he has last seen her; she had been nothing but a mere child in his eyes then. There had been something about the youngest member of the Carson family that managed to appeal to Flynnâs kinder side. Or whatever was left of it, anyway. There had been something vaguely familiar in her sunny disposition which is what ultimately lead the vampire to tolerate her presence. Flynn didnât like humans but Lill Carson seemed to be an exception back then.
Unfortunately, it hadnât been enough for Flynn to actually spare her family.
"I never forget a pretty face," he added, a genuine grin on his face. The years had definitely been kind to her, making Flynn all the more confident in his decision not to kill the last remaining Carson when heâd had the chance.
He may not have meant to surprise her, but Lill was so lost in thought he still made her nearly jump out of her skin. Placing a hand to her chest as she tried to catch her breath, she looked up at the man she had almost run over. It was hard to see him very well in the dark, but for some reason, he looked vaguely familiar. She just didnât know where from. But he was handsome. Maybe sheâd run into him during her travels?Â
"Iâm sorry, handsome, but have we met before?" she asked, cocking her head to the side a little.Â
The vampire laughed softly at her question. Before he left Oxford all those years ago, Flynn strongly debated glamouring the youngest Carson. Eventually, he decided against it. With the death of her parents, Flynn didn't expect her to remember him. But i she knew the truth; if she had known that he was the reason behind their deaths...then she definitely wouldn't have forgotten him.
They would definitely cross that bridge when they got there.
"We met a long time ago. Well, not that long ago, at least in my experience," he began, a grin forming on his lips once again, "ten years is hardly a life time for me." The vampire listened to the steady rhythm of her heart, watching as she slowly seemed to put the pieces together. "Flynn Vainry," he finally said, a hint of mischief in his eyes now, "consider me an old friend of the family."

The grin on the vampires face remained at the womanâs response. While Flynn wasnât from Oxford, the town was, in a weird sense, like a second home. He had been here when the town was first discovered, followed by occasional visits throughout the past few centuries. Ariellaâs presence also played a huge part in his decision to return to the town every now and then. Of course, she didnât know that. âI suppose your right. Rarely, if ever, do I step into the affairs of humans,â he admitted, examining the empty streets. âWhat can I say, youâve caught me in a pleasant mood.â
If there was anything to know about Flynn Vainry, itâs that the vampire did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. If for whatever reason he was set on making sure this human got home safely, than he would do so. There wasnât much the woman could do about it anyway. And in the vampires defense, she hadnât out right told him no.
The vampire fell into stride beside her as she crossed the street now. âWorse case scenario, youâre friend decides to follow you home, once heâs regained some of senses, of course,â he began, a mock pensive look on his face before continuing, âwhatâs to say he wont want to pick up where you left off as soon as Iâm out of sight?â Flynn hadnât caught the entire conversation, but it didnât take a genius to put the pieces together. It was pathetic, really, the amount of humans, and now werewolves, who were so desperate to do V. âWhile you seem quite confident in yourself, Iâm merely offering an extra hand,â he assured her, glancing over at the woman momentarily. Why he was even bothering to offer, Flynn didnât know. There was just something about the woman that intrigued him.
"Lucky me." Ronnie grumbled under her breath as she continued walking, though of course the vampire, with his super human hearing probably heard her. She didnât really care anyway. The truth of the matter was, she really was lucky. Logan had a tendency to get rather violent when he didnât get his way. And with the fact that he had probably taken V sometime recently, his strength couldâve turned his usual violent outburst into something much worse. But of course, Ronnie didnât see that. She only saw a cocky vamp meddling in her affairs.
She glanced at him from the corner of her eye. This vampire, for whatever reason, really was planning on walking her home. She made a couple grumbling noises as she accepted the fact. âOr whoâs to say he wonât get a bunch of his buddies together, grab some stakes and silver, and come after you?â she returned, turning the situation on him. âIf anything, Iâd say youâre the one who needs protection.â she added, smirking at him.Â
The grin remained on Flynnâs face as he approached the woman. He could easily tell that he was pushing her buttons and to no ones surprise, it was working. âYou may have had a handle on it. But it seems you do an even better job at dealing with company like mine,â he added, standing next to the woman as he stared ahead at the rather empty streets. Flynn had exposed his fangs to the woman; he had made no attempt to hide what he was from a total stranger.
It was safe to say that Flynn was definitely out of the coffin, so to speak.
He glanced down and noticed that the woman still had her hands clenched at her side. âOh, ease up, love. It was a mere joke. You seem like the type to handle yourself quite fine.â The vampire listened to her heartbeat, surprisingly steady given what had just happened. Well that was slightly impressive. âAlthough my offer still stands, whether you like it or not.â Flynn wasnât overly fond of humans but this one was humoring him. It would be a shame if something happened to her.
She glanced at him from the corner of her eye when he stood beside her. When he said company like his, was he referring to vampires? Or just conceited assholes? Clearly, this vamp had a lot of practice pushing people like Ronnieâs buttons because he was pressing every single one of hers flawlessly.Â
She let out a mumbled expletive when he told her to ease up, but let out a long breath anyways. She turned to look at the man beside her, her arms folder over her chest as she did so. âLook, I donât know who you are or where you came from, but around here, people let other people handle their own business.â she let out a sigh, because this man had stepped in, she knew things would be worse for her with Logan. In fact, she wouldnât be surprised if as soon as Logan came to, he called Johnny and Frank, his favorite goons and seconds in command and had them wait for Ronnie at the house. Â But then the vampire didnât know that. As far as he was concerned he had stepped in and done his heroic deed for the day. Deep down, she supposed she couldnât really blame him for that. But then again, it was Ronnie. And she was pretty good at looking past logic.Â
"But itâs a free country and all that shit," she sighed. "So you can do what you want, I guess." she added with a shrug, before looking both ways and then crossing the street. If he ended up following her home, well, she couldnât really stop him anyways. He was a fucking vamp after all.Â

The grin on Flynnâs face remained as the woman stood up on her own, completely ignoring his hand. He could tell off the bat that this woman had a fiery personality and no doubt a temper to match. He liked that. It wasnât every day (or ever, really) that the vampire found a human who amused him. Even if this woman wasnât doing it on purpose.
"Of course not. It looked like you had him right where you wanted," he answered, turning his attention to whatever direction the other man had landed. He spotted him slowly moving on the ground, struggling to get up. Flynn chuckled before turning his attention to the woman. "None the less, I always have a soft spot for a damsel in distress." Knowing this woman for a whole thirty seconds, Flynn could tell that she was far from one of play damsel in distress. The vampire had a way of reading people, even those he just met, and instantly knowing how to press their buttons.
It was a marvelous talent to have.
"Do you always have the tendency to provoke others like that?" he asked, turning his attention back on the woman who was making her way out of the alley now. "If thatâs the case, perhaps the gentleman in me should offer to walk you home."
Ronnie huffed when she heard his comment, turning her head just slightly, she glared at the man behind her. âI had it handled.â she grumbled, her teeth clenched, before turning and continuing to walk away. God, of all people to stumble upon her when she actually needed help, it just had to be a vamp with a twisted, cocky, knight in shining armor complex. She didnât need him rubbing it in her face that he thought he had saved her.Â
When he mentioned her being a damsel in distress, Ronnieâs hands closed into tight fists. Sheâd been in this vampâs presence for less than a minute and she already couldnât stand him. If there was anything Ronnie wasnât, it was a damsel in distress. And she especially couldnât stand other people thinking she was or thinking she was weak in anyway. Weakness wasnât something she could afford. But she kept walking.Â
She didnât stop, even when he offered to take her home. Maybe if she just kept walking, this cocky vamp would leave her alone. âDonât need to be walked home.â she called, not even bothering to turn around as she did so, hoping that the less attention she gave him, the more likely heâd be to go about his business.Â
The grin remained on Flynn's face as he approached the woman. He could easily tell that he was pushing her buttons and to no ones surprise, it was working. "You may have had a handle on it. Not too long after the sun had gone down, Flynn made his way out of his new home. He figured he should be on the move before Christian approached him tonight, most likely in regards to the unexpected run in with Alys the night before. As much at the older vampires wouldâve loved to play mind games with his progeny, tonight he had other plans. He had done his waiting. After centuries of searching, Flynn was finally going to find what, or who, he was looking for.
Her name was Veronica Cothry and that was as much as the vampire currently new. Naturally, he aimed to change that. With the help of a few allies and the power of threats, Flynnâs constant searching had lead him back to Oxford, Mississippi. There had been some hesitation in his decision to return to the old town at first, but he was surprisingly pleased to see a handful of familiar faces upon doing so. Unfortunately, two of those familiar faces were doing everything in their power to make sure the older vampire didnât find her. For the past few centuries it had been a race between Flynn and his progeny to find this human, and now that he was so close to doing so, no one was going to get in his way.
If they did, it was their funeral.
The vampires attention was momentarily caught by a conversation he heard nearby. His curiosity was sparked at the mention of V, and Flynn made his way in that direction. He arrived at the entry of an alley just in time to see the man yelling at a young woman. It wasnât until the man roughly shoved the woman against the concrete wall of a building that Flynn decided to step in. Â He was at the mans side in the blink of an eye, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him off the ground slightly as he did so. âCâmon mate. Thatâs no way to treat a lady,â he said, showing his fangs to the man for a brief moment before throwing him to the opposite end of the alley.
Retracting his fangs, the vampire turned his attention to the woman on the floor now. Flynn wasnât one to help humans, much less strangers, but he still knew better than to treat a woman that way. For the most part, anyway. âTrouble in paradise?â he asked, a teasing grin on his face as he extended his hand to help the woman up.
"Iâm not doing V, Logan." Ronnie seethed. "Come on, Ron. Stop being such a pretentious, little bitch!" Logan laughed. To say that Ronnieâs relationship, if that was even what you could call it anymore, with Logan was rocky was the understatement of the year. The manipulative bastard loved guilt tripping Ronnie into doing just about whatever he wanted and Ronnie, though sheâd never admit it, was just desperate enough to keep the dysfunctional family he provided that she ended up letting him. He had managed to dean Ronnie down with him over the years, getting her hooked on all sorts of drugs even if she hadnât really wanted to. For all the tough-girl, badassery that Ronnie portrayed to those around her, she did a pretty crappy job of actually standing up for herself when it came to Logan.Â
At the moment, Logan was trying to see just how far he could push Ronnieâs limits, a favorite pastime of his. Heâd managed to get his hands on the coveted, but extremely dangerous V and wanted Ronnie to enjoy the high with him. âYou think youâre so much better than all of us! Canât get precious Veronicaâs dainty little hands dirty, now can we?â Loganâs voice rose and Ronnie glanced around, afraid someone would hear him. With her eyes off of him, grabbed Ronnieâs shoulders, shoving her against the wall behind her. âPay attention to me, Ron!â he yelled.
The second Ronnieâs shoulders hit the cool concrete of the wall, Loganâs hands were off of her and he was lifted to the air by a stranger, while Ronnie fell to the ground. She watched in shock as the man standing before her exposed his fangs and threw Logan across the alley. What was she supposed to do? Ronnie hadnât had much experience with vampires since they came out and this definitely wasnât the ideal setting for her first encounter with them. When he finally turned to her, a conceited grin on his lips and his hand extended towards her, Ronnie rolled her eyes. She rose to her feet, refusing his help and completely ignoring his comment about paradise. âNothing I couldnât have handled on my own, thank you very much.â she replied cooly, not even bothering to look at him as she walked right past him. Apparently, vampires induced a lack of common sense in Ronnie, since she didnât seem to have any problems with blowing one off. Even if he had probably saved her from a pretty horrible fight. Â

Flynn had been in Oxford for a little over a two days when he finally decided it was time to pay Ariella a visit. While she had once been one of the few faces that Flynn saw on a regular basis, it had been years now since he had seen the older vampire. It was a shame, too. Ariella Beauxford held an important place in the younger vampires life; she had served as a mentor to him not too long after his own maker had abandoned him. And for that, she had his loyalty. Not many vampires could say that about Flynn Vainry.
He made his way through the large estate, getting the okay from the guards to enter. Flynn entered the house and was halfway into the foyer when he caught sight of Ariella making her way down the large staircase. "You're a hard woman to get a hold, your highness," he spoke, a grin on his face as he referred to her by her title rather than her name for once.
Here Comes Trouble | Flynn & Vera (closed)
It wasnât rare to find Vera manning the entrance to Fangtopia. With her practically photographic memory and her keen desire for herself or Kol to not be ripped off, she was an obvious choice. For the most part, she kept an eye on the humans. They were hte ones likely to go missing, so it was important to keep track of who had come into their bar so when the overzealous, vampire-hating police came around, immediately accusing vampires of the disappearance, it was easy to refute them⊠or come up with a story to cover the train should a human actually go missing because of one of their vampire patrons.
Dressed in a black, skin-tight dress that left very little to the imagination, Â Vera was doing guard duty tonight. At a âmenacingâ 5â5â, even with her heels, Vera didnât look like your typical bouncer. But with her steely, cool gaze and the centuries, if not millenia, she had on almost all of those who entered the bar, the petite vampire managed to make those, especially the humans, nervous. It was about 1 or 2 am when an unlikely, but familiar face approached the bar. âFlynn Vainry?!â Vera exclaimed in surprise, her face lighting up as he approached. âIs that really you??â she didnât know why he was in Oxford, but if Flynn was around, it meant no good could come from it and Vera was thrilled.Â
"The one and only, love," the vampire replied, a grin instantly lighting up on his face as he approached his old friend. Vera Patras was one of the few vampires left that Flynn actually tolerated. Not many had made the short list, but coincidentally most of his remaining allies all found themselves in Oxford. Celia had arrived just days before he had, but the real surprise was hearing that Kol and Vera had taken up residence in the small town.
"I must say, when I heard that you and Kol set up here I was quite surprised," he admitted, an amused tone in his voice. He knew from experience that Vera wasn't too keen on the small town life. She was meant for more. As was he. It was one of the many reasons the two vampires got along so well. "But I take it that wasn't so much your decision as it was your makers?"
Flynn looked around the area, noticing not only vampires but humans lingering outside as well. Well, that would definitely make matters easier for him. Not ultimately a fan of TruBlood, Flynn continued to feed on humans. "So am I going to have to bring our drinks out here, or can you afford to escape for a while?" the vampire asked, as he returned his gaze to the brunette. They did have quite a bit of catching up to do.
