baby bunny 🐇
let’s hang out
fmdxinhei:
A chuckle left his mouth, sometimes Xinhei missed being the youngest, the fact that people always told you that they would care for you and how much love you would get, but most of time he didn’t miss it at all. Xinhei really loved how he could tease Mingi about his age, in Xinhei’s eyes Mingi was a baby and the cutest, someone Xinhei would take care of even when Mingi was married and had kids. A chuckle more escapes his mouth as Mingi tells him to stop and pouts, he stretches his hand out to Mingi again, this time aiming for the cheeks and not the hair. A bit of Mingi’s cheek was taken in between Xinhei’s fingers and he then starts to pinch Mingi’s cheeks “how can my baby be so cute?” he asks with a cheerful voice.
He stares at Mingi as he speaks of how Xinhei can’t take care of Mingi forever, of how Xinhei will someday turn old. At first he finds himself dumbfounded but then a loud laugh escapes his mouth and he looks away, after laughing for a good couple of seconds he looks at Mingi again “I’ll baby you forever, because you will be a baby forever just like how I will be a strong old man forever, I will always be healthy”.
A giggle escapes his mouth and he looks surprised as Mingi suddenly passes him by, he fastens his steps and is now almost running, he may be ‘old’ but he is determined on winning. “If you’re so positive about it then you better hurry up” he looks back at Mingi while saying now that he has overtaken him.
Mingi frowned when he felt him pinching his cheek, reaching out his hand to punch the older male in the shoulder. “Stop! I only let old ladies and the people I’m sleeping with pinch my cheeks, and I don’t think you fall under either of those categories, hyung.” He poked his tongue out at him, before gently smacking him on the hand. “No touching. At least take me to dinner first,” he said cheekily, shooting the older male a grin, before he shifted so that he was out of his grasp. He couldn’t help but roll his eyes at him when he finished laughing and started saying all that stuff about him being a baby for the rest of forever. “I don’t think that’s true, hyung, but I’ll take your word for it.
When Mingi saw Xinhei move past him, he considered for a split second moving even faster and running past him, but he knew that would only draw unwanted attention to the both of them. He didn’t want to run the risk of them being noticed. Sure, he had on his little black face mask, but he didn’t think that would be enough. Fans are still fans, and they would be able to recognize the idols they liked without much issue. If Mingi could be identified by a fan who was just looking at his ear, then he wouldn’t put anything past them. He slowed down, shaking his head. “You win this round, hyung. I’ll let you win.”
fmdjunsu:
“I guess I was overthinking it when I had nothing to worry about.” He wonders what everyone was going to be doing when the day comes that Origin disbands, but he hopes that everyone would be happy with doing their own things. He knows they all were probably going to stay in touch which was a good thing considering how close they all were to each other. He knows it was going to be awhile until that day comes so he’ll just focus on the present and enjoy whatever was to come. “I’ll probably tell you it gets worse when you reach my age and you should be lucky you haven’t reached my age yet,” he laughs. He guesses that the younger was right with that. He had thought that he would perhaps live a single life and not have a significant other by his side. He was fine with that knowing there wasn’t anyone out there for him and would want to have him by their side. Then came Ahreum and everything just felt right to him. It took him awhile to recognize his feelings and then that’s when he knew he didn’t want to let the other go. He’s lucky to still have the male by his side after what they’ve been through. There may had been that chance he had lost the male forever with the choice he made. “I’ll just have to wait for them then.”
The day that Origin finally disbands, or the day that they stop actively promoting together as an entire group, will be a very sad day for Mingi. He will definitely miss the times that they shared together, seeing the other members of his group everyday and going on tour with them. It was a lot of hard work for them, a heavy load that weighed down their shoulders. The fact that they all had to endure it together though, made it easier to take on. There was nothing more comforting than knowing you had the six guys you considered family in your corner, supporting you and going through hard times with you. It made the suffering of the idol industry much more bearable. And in the future, he knew that when they did have to lay Origin to rest, they would all still be really good friends, that Mingi was sure of. “By that point, we’ll both be so old that it’s like we’re the same age anyway.” Mingi shrugged his shoulders, not too worried about the future. All he knew was that they would still be close then, and that was all that mattered. “Are you actively looking for them, hyung? You should. Love is great, you should want to experience it.”
[ ✉ → jihoon hyung ] aww, hyung i’m flattered that you’d ask! [ ✉ → jihoon hyung ] of course i’ll be your valentine! are you gonna take me out to dinner? i want to be wined and dined.
let’s hang out
fmdxinhei:
‘Old.. You know.. Not young, worn out, expired, having lived for a long time, elderly.. Do I really have to keep going hyung, I’m sure you know what old means?’ at first he had no idea how to respond but within a few seconds, he managed to put a smile on his face and smile brightly to his friend. “If I’m old then you’re a baby” his hand then landed on top of Mingi’s head and he started messing Mingi’s hair up “do you need me to feed you? Perhaps I should hold your hand, so you won’t get lost?” a laugh once again escaped Xinhei’s mouth and he then slowly took his hand away from Mingi’s head.
“you’re not very good at respecting me” he mumbled upon hearing Mingi’s words, not that he cared very much about whether Mingi respected him or not, as long as he enjoyed being with Mingi then it didn’t really matter that much about their age.
“Mingi-ah are you really sure about that?” a smirk appeared on his face and he quickly started to fasten his steps. It was moment like these that made Xinhei happy, the moments where it felt like him and Mingi were brothers, Xinhei did have an older brother but he had never met him, and he didn’t care much about him. But the thought had come across Xinhei’s mind multiple times, what if he actually had an older brother? Would his life had been easier and happier then? But in moments like these, the only person he thought about was Mingi, because he seemed to enjoy himself, he loved the feeling of feeling like a 10-year old with his dear friend Mingi.
“I’d rather be a baby than old.” Mingi was used to being the baby in most of the places that he went. He was baby in his own group, so he was used to the baby comments and he was used to his own group members babying and doting on him. He’d be a liar if he tried to say that he didn’t enjoy it. It was nice having so many people willing to dote on you and do things for you. It was how he had lived his life for almost the past decade, and he had gotten used to it. He frowned when he felt his hand ruffling his hair, batting the older male’s hands away so he could fix his pink strands of hair. “Stop!” He complained loudly, his lips jutting outwards into a pout.
“How are you going to help feed me when you’re eating apple sauce everyday at your senior assisted living home, huh? I would hold your hand while we cross the street, but I don’t want your brittle, frail, old bones to turn into dust because I touched your hand.”
Mingi may not have been as tall of Xinhei, but he was still young and full of energy, and he was determined not to lose. He quickened his steps after him, easily catching up to the older male and matching his pace with ease. “I’m positive about it.” He grinned at him, before he started walking even faster, moving past him. He was glad that he was able to act that way with Xinhei. He was allowed to act like a kid and just have fun, something he had been lacking lately. He loved being an idol, but sometimes he just needed to get away from it all and act like a normal twenty one year old.

“LISTEN MAN, ARE YOU SURE you are not trying to hit on me? because, honestly, i’m flattered.” reaching for the remote, he turns off the television as he was watching a drama awaiting for mingi to arrive. turning about, the rapper glances at the dancer and vocalist with a humorous expression, indicating that he was mainly joking about. “but the last thing i need is to be with another one of you ORIGIN boys. two is enough.” he laughs, funny to think that he dated two members of a single group. neither were entirely bad experiences, to say the least. both of the guys he remains in contact with, but, of course, there is regret with both, as well. the flirting that happens between mingi and he, though, is merely in jester. the two have known one another for a while, mainly due to their connection with eunae — the youngest having dated minwoo’s best friend. the two have also dated another person as well in common. all in all, the two have similar taste and style. “anyway, don’t count this as a date. we are only going out to eat lunch. and, yes i am paying. not a date. just friends.” laughter again. it’s what the two do often when together. joke about romance, for they are both hopeless romantics and flirtatious, but, at the same time, the two being too much the same person to ever be together. “are you feeling seafood or pork or what? vegetarian?”
“I’m not trying to hit on you, I am hitting on you. I’m not sure how you couldn’t see that..” Mingi was pretty shameless and straightforward when it came to his flirting. He was such a sweet guy, nice and humble, but at the end of the day, he was a man. He liked to flirt, and he flirted with anyone that he was attracted to. Most of the time it worked in his favor. He was an attractive guy, he wasn’t the worst looking guy in South Korea, that was for sure, even though he got his fair share of hate from Netizens for “bringing down the visual quality of Origin.” Even if he wasn’t the most attractive guy in the world, his charm and sweet words were usually enough for people. And if even those things didn’t work, he was a member of one of the most popular boy groups in the world. He had money, fame and talent. He never used those to get what he wanted, but they sure did help him out from time to time. “You might have had them, but you haven’t had me yet. It’ll be a whole different experience, trust me. I haven’t gotten any complaints yet. Quite the opposite, actually.” It might have been a little weird to someone that he was hitting on Blue, even though it was all in jest. Not only had Mingi dated his best friend in the past, but they shared an ex in common. “If you say so. Just know that you’re not getting into my pants unless you take me on an actual date first, so you might as well have this count as one.” The playful banter between the two of them was refreshing, that was for sure. “How about pork and seafood?”

“HERE,” passing a dumpling from his bowl into the younger’s, he nods once it has been transferred. there are very few people the vocalist considered a friend. having been too indulged within his own self-image, he did not take the time to befriend other idols in the industry; therefore, he is severely lacking them, especially during this period of time where yoonbin feels as if he needs them the most. aside from jaehyun, though, he did manage to befriend mingi from ORIGIN. despite the opposite male being younger — six years his junior — he somehow felt very comfortable around the maknae. he never judged yoonbin, and rather than turning the other way to disdain the vocalist with a tainted reputation, he gave yoonbin the opportunity to redeem himself. when he cannot bother his group member, jaehyun, then he contacts mingi. sometimes, though, he feels bad, for he is aware that mingi is constantly busy with the hectic scheduling the more popular group has. he was surprised that today he was able to steal some of his time, sharing a lunch after so long. he gave the youngest the dumpling, for yoonbin also worries that mingi is not eating enough due to the schedule. “you need more meat on your bones, mingi. so, go ahead. eat the dumpling.”
Mingi wasn’t a judgmental person. He liked to form his own opinions on people without the outside help of others. There were quite a few people within the idol world that spoke of Yoonbin, some saying that he was a decent guy, while others said that he wasn’t great at all and that he should be avoided at all costs. Mingi, as usual, didn’t adhere to those warnings and went on ahead to befriend Yoonbin. As it turned out, all of those people were wrong about him. Or at least they were now. He might not have been a good guy in the past, but he was trying to change. The maknae could see that much just from the time they had spent with one another. He hated the fact that people still treated Yoonbin like he was the worst guy in the world when he was just trying his best to better himself. He was proud of the progress he had made. He smiled around a mouthful of food when Yoonbin placed the dumpling inside of his bowl. “Thanks hyung,” he said before swallowing his food. “You’re lucky I have a fast metabolism.”
fmdjunsu:
He smiles feeling reassured that him dating someone wasn’t going to change the dynamic of the group. He really didn’t want anything to change if he started dating. “Thanks, I feel better now knowing nothing’s going to change.” He wraps his arms around Mingi and laughs at his comment. He couldn’t imagine himself being a parent and having kids. The same with grandkids too. There was a lot of responsibility that came with parenting and he wasn’t sure if he was prepared for all of that. “I’ll be looking forward to your visits then. I’ll probably be complaining that I’m old and my youth is gone at that point.” He wonders if they all would meet up together when they got older and Origin wasn’t around anymore. He knows that everyone would be living their own lives, but them meeting up every now and then would be nice. They all would stay in contact with each other he knows that, but it would be nice for them all to hang around and spend time together. He was surprised with Mingi’s question, but then he probably should had expected that. They were talking about dating after all. “Maybe,” he answers. “I never really imagined myself getting into a relationship with someone, but who knows. I might end up finding that person who makes me happy and end up dating them.”
Back when they had first debuted, the thought of one of his group members dating had somewhat frightened him. He knew that when they started dating, they would want to start giving more and more of their attention to their significant others, which would take their attention away from the group.. And away from him. He was just fifteen when they debuted, his sixteenth birthday just a few weeks away from their debut date. He was still a kid, with a kid’s mindset. He didn’t want his hyungs to take their attention away from him. He had never been surrounded by so many people who were willing to give him attention before, and losing that was scary to him. But as he grew, he matured, and he knew that he couldn’t think like that anymore. “I’m glad I could make you feel better, hyung.” He smiled when he felt him wrapped his arms around him, pressing himself closer to the older male. Mingi had always been super affectionate towards his group members, his subconscious craving the affection he never got as a child. “That’s okay, because I’ll probably be complaining about the same thing. You’re not alone.” He knew that in the future, they would all still be as close as they were in present day. They had to be, he would make sure of it. “The right person might come when you least expect it, hyung. That’s how it always happens.”
fmdjoohwan:
@fmdmingi
Before he’d become an idol, Joohwan hadn’t been able to fall asleep easily. Even with the comfortable tiredness that came from dancing pretty much every day was never enough to get the boy to get proper rest in his own bed, much less anywhere else. That changed dramatically when Hwan became a trainee — even when he wasn’t training Hwan was practicing, and rare were the nights when the boy got more than four hours of sleep. Which meant every resting second was to be treasured. Of course, that was a thing that followed him into his idol years. Insomnia was far from an issue nowadays, mostly because he worked enough that his body simply shut down eventually and he ended up napping whenever it was possible, even if the nap didn’t last more than fifteen seconds. Sitting at a recording studio, having already finished recording vocals for a demo but waiting for the maknae to be over, Hwan had been drifting off for the past hour, catching up on the sleep he wasn’t being given what with solo promotions and Origin schedules on top of that. It was a light sleep, however, and he woke up just in time to see Mingi leaving the booth. “ Hmm, are you done? ”
Mingi didn’t come into Gold Star hoping to be a vocalist, especially not the main vocalist of a group, but the title had fallen into his lap and he was stuck with it.. Not that he would have wanted to do anything else. He was proud of himself and how far he had come as an idol spanning his time as a trainee up until present day. That being said, he was still insecure when it came to his voice and he knew that he still had a lot more to prove. Origin wasn’t really that known for their powerful vocals, some people even going so far as to saying that they couldn’t sing at all, which Mingi knew wasn’t true. He knew that he had some talent, he just felt a little inferior when compared to his peers that shared the same title, or even the title of a lead compared to a main. That was why he worked so hard to improve, why he spent even longer in the studio than some of his group members to perfect vocals on tracks. He rubbed at his eyes as he exited the recording booth after several hours, finally somewhat content with what he had done. “Oh, you’re still here, hyung?” He asked, a little surprised. “Yes, I’m done. Why didn’t you go home?”
fmdnamsoo:
mingi had come after his first love, thinking that it was finally time to try again and accept someone into his heart. their relationship was never a mistake, no matter what he yelled at the other male or how hurt he was that day - the namsoo now doesn’t regret spending his time with mingi. so as they stood here in their own little world, the singer couldn’t help but feel sad once more that their ending was over something that seemed so out of character for the both of them. namsoo losing his cool because of his own insecurities, bring them all onto his boyfriend at the time who probably felt so clueless to the whole thing - until now. namsoo sighed, looking away for a moment with a troubled expression. “i have trust issues, it’s always been there since i was a kid. it was unfair of me to suddenly assume something so stupid, you were good to me, we were both busy and i don’t know…” words drifting off as he tried to gather up what he was truly trying to say. “i wasn’t a good boyfriend, never allowed you to touch me as much or give you what you needed and here i was…assuming that you were cheating. i was a fucking idiot.” he let out a shaky chuckle. “i’m really sorry.”
“You don’t have to apologize to me.” It had crushed Mingi when Namsoo had yelled at him and told him that he didn’t want to be with him anymore. Every word that came out of Namsoo’s mouth was like driving a knife deeper and deeper into his chest, twisting it until the pain had become so unbearable that Mingi only felt numb. He didn’t know how long he had cried after that, how many times he had to tell his hyungs that nothing was bothering him and that he was just tired when they asked him what was wrong. Despite all of that, he didn’t have any ill feelings towards Namsoo. He couldn’t be angry towards someone that he loved so much, even after he had broken his heart. “Thank you, though.. I appreciate you coming to me and being honest..” He looked at him with wide eyes, shaking his head. “No.. Don’t say that, please. You didn’t have to let me touch you. You don’t have to let anyone touch you, that’s not what relationships are about.. They’re about love, not.. That.”
fmdjunsu:
It was true that if his group members were dating someone he would let them spend time with their significant other. Maybe he was just worried of what would happen if he wanted to spend time with his significant other. Junsu is used to looking after and taking care of his group members that perhaps he forgot it’s okay for him to spend time to himself doing what he wants. He didn’t really have a good excuse or reason to Mingi’s question. “I guess I’m just worried of how you guys will take it once I share there’s someone I’m dating,” he shrugs. He didn’t know how to explain his thoughts that well. “I just don’t want anything to suddenly change because I found someone I’m happy with.” One day he’ll perhaps share the fact he is currently dating someone when he and Ahreum were comfortable sharing it to others. Though, for now he’ll keep it a secret. “I will and I appreciate how supportive you are with me if I end up dating,” he smiles. He knew his happiness is important too and he is currently happy. He has been much happier ever since he and Ahreum were back together. “It makes me feel better knowing you’ll be okay with me dating and I should believe the others will be too.”
“I can see why you would be apprehensive about that.” He was sure there were plenty of cases where people felt neglected when someone that they cared about entered a romantic relationship with someone. Sometimes that feeling of neglect would fester and morph into something like jealously or resentment, but he highly doubted anything like that would happen in their case. Origin was too close to one another for that. They all cared about one another, although some showed that more easily than others, and they wouldn’t let anyone come between their relationship. “But trust me when I say that nothing’s going to change. As long as you’re happy, then I’m going to be happy for you.” He wrapped his arms around the older male, resting his chin on his shoulder. “I’m still going to be right here annoying you everyday, even if you are in a relationship. You’re going to be sixty with grandkids and I’m still going to be coming over on a weekly basis just to see you, hyung.” Mingi grinned at him. “Of course I’m supportive. I know you’d be supportive of me too.. Now that we’re both feeling better about the dating thing.. Are you interested in dating anyone, hyung?”
fmdhyeju·:
“he’s like eight months old, so basically still a baby.” looking down at the dog that was now in her arms, she gave him an apologetic pat on the head. with her upcoming comeback, hyeju had been more that hectic and haven’t been able to give romeo the proper attention that he deserved. dropping him on the floor, she took a look at the groceries she had put on the floor and let out a groan. she was never the mom of the group or any of that sort; she didn’t cook or clean, and simply just lived as it was, but living alone she had no choice. it’s been a couple of years, and she was still lazy as ever.
reaching down, she started grabbing her groceries and organizing them while at the same time looking through them to see if there was anything decent she could possibly offer. “look, it was a way of saying that i just don’t want to eat alone.” hyeju gave him a slight smile before putting things away where she think they belonged. “unless you have somewhere to be. i’m sure romeo would be more than happy to watch me eat something that he can’t have.” this wasn’t the first time mingi had basically saved romeo from running off, and she thought the least she could do was offer him a meal.
“Oh yeah, he’s definitely still a baby.” Mingi smiled down at the rambunctious dog, or puppy he should say. He had always wanted a dog of his own, but his father never allowed him to have one and his grandparents told him that they were too old to take care of a dog. Then he had become a trainee and moved into the trainee dorms, which wasn’t the best place for a dog. There were dozens of other guys who had to share one dorm, so a dog was out of the question. Living with Origin, he would have gotten a dog, but it was against the rules. He had just moved into his own apartment a few months ago and was finally considering getting a puppy of his own after so long. “Where did you adopt him?”
He chuckled at her answer, nodding in understanding. “I get it. No one really likes eating alone.” He was sure there were a few who did, but he definitely wasn’t one of them and in that moment neither was Hyeju. Mingi couldn’t blame her, eating alone was.. lonely. “No, I don’t have anywhere else to be. I’m finished with my schedules for the day.” He hadn’t had that many to begin with, which was surprising to say the least. “What are you eating?”
let’s hang out
fmdxinhei:
The small smile on his lips soon turned into a confused expression upon hearing Mingi’s words “old man? What do you mean old?” he raised a hand as a signal that he would hit Mingi if he didn’t stop calling him an old man, his act as some angry however didn’t last long and he shortly after laughed instead.
“Ya, you do know that I’m older than you right? You should treat me with respect” by now he had let all of his friends treat him like this, the whole elder thing also existed in China but not as much as in Korea so he wasn’t used to it he therefore had let everyone he knew treat him like a near friend or someone younger than themselves but now as he finally understood the system he realized it was only people who didn’t know him who had respect for Xinhei. It didn’t bother Xinhei very much, most of the time he just used how others treated him in a comic way, it had multiple times been brought up on TV shows, it was an easy way to get more screen time.
He leaned away from the wall and spun on his heel he then started walking again “want to see who comes first?” a small smirk showed on his lips as he turned to face Mingi and ask him the question.
He flinched when Xinhei raised a hand at him, almost as if he were going to hit him, before he relaxed and rolled his eyes, gently nudging the older male with his elbow. “What else would I mean by old?” He asked, one of his eyebrows quirking up at the other main vocalist. “Old.. You know.. Not young, worn out, expired, having lived for a long time, elderly.. Do I really have to keep going hyung, I’m sure you know what old means.” He was being a little shit of course, which was to be expected. He always acted that way around his fellow idol, mostly because it was in their dynamic. They acted like brothers towards one another. Even though Xinhei was a few years older than him, he still felt very comfortable around him, comfortable enough to be able to joke with him without it being seen as disrespectful.
“I do respect you, hyung. I respect you a lot. That doesn’t make you any less old though.” Mingi shrugged his shoulders as if what he had just said was the absolute truth. Which it wasn’t, but it wasn’t like he was going to stop poking fun at him. It was all in good jest, like brotherly bickering. Mingi considered himself lucky enough to not only have six older brothers through Origin, but other older male figures that he had clung to over his years as a trainee and an idol that he considered to be older brothers to him as well. He smiled at him. “I already know that I’ll come first, but I’ll humor you, hyung.”

tuesday, january 22, 2019; 10:17pm sbs entertainment building loading dock
{ open starter }
there’s finally a chance to breathe for the first time all day for julien. while days that surround preparation for a comeback and promoting for said comeback are jam-packed with meetings and rehearsals and schedules he needs to get to, it’s some of his favorite times of the year. with his latest comeback just released earlier that day, he’s already running from place to place to get things taped for promotions. surprisingly, things ended early for that night in his case, ending schedules at an early 10pm. upon wrapping things up, julien finds himself in his current situation, which is heading to his van for the trip home. as he approaches the building exit to head to the loading dock where his sleek black chariot awaited him, the vibrating phone in his coat pocket is causing his coat to flutter incessantly, as if the person on the other side of the line was dying to get his attention. he shoves a hand into his pocket, fishing around before wrapping his fingers around the cellphone and pulling it out. with a swipe of his thumb at the sight of the familiar name, julien accepts the facetime call with a grin. “and what did i do to deserve the chance to see your face on my little cellphone screen tonight, hm?”
Mingi had a bit of a nasty habit of latching onto people whenever they got along with one another. It was something he had been doing ever since he was young. After losing both his mother and his father, not due to any tragedy or unfortunate circumstances, just due to them not wanting him anymore, he had learned that when someone did say they wanted him around to not let go of them. All of his friends knew by that point that he was a stage five clinger. Fortunately for him, they didn’t seem to mind. They put up with his more so annoying tendencies they he didn’t think they should have, but was very grateful that they did. He had met Julien back when he was a trainee, and they hit it off almost immediately. He had thought that the foreign born trainee was so cool, and he quickly grew a liking to him. He was just lucky that Julien felt the same way. His smile widened when the other idol answered the phone, and he lifted up his hand to wave at the camera. “Hi, hyung! I just wanted to call you while I had some free time and say congrats on your comeback! I listened to the song, it’s really great.”

relationships were always something eunae tried to stay away from. never wanting to allow herself to get too close to someone else, only for them to leave in the end. mingi was a surprise, lasting a lot longer than she had expected. but like every young relationship especially as idols, they became far too busy for each other. it was a year of her life that she would never regret, but she’d be lying if she didn’t admit she was sad about it ending. she was thankful that they were still able to be friends, both deciding mutually to be mature about the entire situation. eunae had just finished with practice, fuse’s comeback was getting closer and closer which meant she basically lived at the studio. with the members ready to attack each other after hours together, they finally broke for lunch. eunae making her way to meet mingi at their usual spot, breathing heavily as she jogged up, masking covering her face. “i’m so sorry, i swear practices are always way more brutal with a comeback coming up. thanks for meeting me.”
Mingi had been in a lot of relationships throughout his years as an idol, three of them being with people who had left a lasting impact on his entire life. Namsoo, Eunae and Sinb were all people he had dated in the past, and they were all still important to him. Even if their relationship hadn’t ended in the best way, which it had with Eunae, he still cared for his exes. His relationship with Eunae had ended more amicably than most of his previous ones. They were both still good friends, the two of them meeting up for lunch a few times a month when they both had the free time. It was getting harder for them to find the time to meet what with both of them becoming increasingly more popular and busy with their groups, but they still made things work. “It’s okay! You were busy, I understand. Practice already comes first.” He nodded towards the empty spot next to him. “You can sit and catch your breath while we figure out where we want to go for lunch.”

“I’m making it more difficult than it has to be.” Seyeon had no idea when exactly the mood drop kicked in, just that suddenly, things hurt a bit too much and he didn’t really feel like being so physically close to Mingi anymore. Or physically close to anyone, for that matter. He extricated himself from their hug with practiced ease, got onto his feet lacking his usual graceful movements and crossed his arms in front of his chest automatically, not even aware of the gesture. “Then please do illuminate me on how not to make things easier, because clearly you’ve got it all figured out.” Sarcasm was rare for Seyeon and to most onlookers he was hard to anger. His sudden outburst felt foreign to him too, even though caught up in the sudden rush of adrenaline it was hard to make out in the cacophony in his head. “And indifferent opinion, bullshit. You’ve already made your mind up, why would a name fucking matter. Sorry I bothered you with this, will definitely make sure not to do it again.” For a moment the world was foggy and spinning and it had nothing to do with the fact that he was crying– oh. He needed to breathe, maybe that was it. (It wasn’t just that, but he’d managed so well not to slip out of himself in front of the others, he didn’t want to start now. Not that his brain thought he had much of a say in it.) How long he just stood there, eyes empty and arms pressed against his chest as if trying to hold the anger back he didn’t know but when he finally saw again it felt like all of his energy had been punched out of him in one go. With a pitiful whimper he curled up into himself, forehead against his knees. “Shit. Shit shit shit shit, I’m sorry, I– I can’t do this, I– Mingi-yah, I didn’t mean to– I don’t wanna be like this, I hate it so much. I just don’t know how to make it stop.”
Mingi wasn’t sure where in their conversation the sudden flip in attitude and mood had happened, but he knew that he maybe had trekked a little too far into unchartered territory when Seyeon all of a sudden snapped at him like that. The separation and desistance of their intimate position had been the first warning sign, and then all of a sudden, Seyeon was yelling at him. Or maybe yelling was too strong of a word. It definitely wasn’t talking calmly like they had been before. He knew that he had messed up big time because for as long as he had known him, Seyeon hadn’t blown up at him like that before. He hadn’t blown up like that at anyone before, at least not in Mingi’s presence, so it was definitely his fault. He couldn’t even bring himself to say anything to defend himself because he knew that he had been in the wrong. He shouldn’t have handled the situation like that, he should have taken a more relaxed and cautious approach, especially when he had seen how antsy and conflicted his hyung had been about it. He had overstepped his boundaries and had spoken without really thinking, which had led up to them being in that mess of a situation. So he allowed Seyeon to continue to chew into him, knowing that he deserved all the harsh words, no matter how badly they hurt.
Then there was silence. He let out a breath that he hadn’t realized he had been holding. A breath he didn’t realize had been held in order to keep him from crying. He shook his head when Seyeon finally spoke again, his hand coming out to rest on his shoulder. “Don’t.. Don’t apologize to me. I should be the one apologizing to you. I’m sorry for making you feel like the bad guy and for making it seem like everything was your fault. I shouldn’t have done that.. I should have spoken more carefully.” His frown deepened a little. “You don’t want to be like what? Talk to me, hyung.. What’s going on?”
