CLOSED STARTER“ AN INTERVIEW WITH ”

there was something intense about this experience, he would be interviewing one of charm’s members– the sun was burning outside, so he felt extra flushed when he entered the studio where their interview would be held. it was rather professional– once inside he quickly drank an entire bottle of water ( something he probably shouldn’t have done ) – but he was thirsty.
to think the senior idol accepted his request was a wild feeling, haneul had arrived earlier than the appointment time but it was fine– this gave him time to collect his thoughts and go ove the questions he had listed.
when the older arrived, haneul greeted him respectfully– handing him a water bottle, then gesturing for him to sit. he was the interviewer after all– “ when you are ready, we can start! ”
haneul waited for the older to settle in– then when he was ready the camera started rolling, he gathered himself and smiled widely at the camera!
“ so, we’re here with charm’s jay-ssi, or kim sehoon-ssi. first, jay sunbaenim– thank you for accepting this interview with him. ”
it was fair to say that right now, sitting in the chair across from sehoon made haneul nervous– looking at him gave haneul a jittery feeling in his stomach, some called them butterflies but haneul felt a little overwhelmed.
no matter he tried to hide his feelings, he needed to stay professional after all.
“ the weather is so nice today, i like the summer but i am more of a spring person at heart. what is your favorite season and why? ”
interviews have sort of become a part of his daily routine at some point, but even so, he still feels very honored when he's asked or is invited to do one. the request he receives from haneul definitely isn't an exception. of course sehoon agrees in a heartbeat, thanking the other male with his signature dimpled smile. he's already told about the direction of the interview, and was briefed on what the possible questions would be. everything would be professional, so he knows (and hopes) it's all going to be fine.
sehoon makes sure he arrives on time, after all, it's only proper to be there on the agreed time. he's happy to see that haneul is already there and accepts the water bottled he's offered with a smile. "thank you," he says and sits on the chair, but not without fixing his clothes and making sure his bangs aren't poking him in the eye. he takes a sip of water before speaking again. "how are you? did you guys waited long?" he starts in an attempt to make them both relax. years in the industry and interviews still give him this weird jittery, nervous feeling. they can't be both nervous.
with some final preparations and making sure they were both ready, they were given the green light and the interview starts. he smiles when haneul introduces him. "thank you, haru-ssi. please, it's an honor. I'm very happy to be here," he answers, "thank you very much for inviting me." and thanks everything that is holy that his voice didn't crack. glad to know that sip of water helped in his favor.
"oh, i personally like spring, too. it's a very pretty season but my favorite is definitely autumn," he chuckle. "at first it was because it's not as hot as summer and not too freezing like winter. but over time i found myself more drawn to the colors and vibe of autumn? does that make sense?" he laughs. "i really think the reds, yellows and browns of the season are really pretty. ah, how do you call those? nude colors? yes, sounds about right. also makes for the perfect season for a warm cup of coffee with friends and family, too, right?"
