so one theory I’ve had for a while was the curse Schneider mentions in “Secret of Life”
In “Secret of Life”, the beginning starts out with:
“I sit alone in the dark and I try to remember the words you spoke when you summoned the Ender”
“you chained my life to an ancient master
would the curse be reversed if I said it backwards?”
now, roll back a few tracks to “Ancient Names Pt 1” (they mention “ancient Master in the verse, so I thought it would be best to look here)
looking back at my chart, I theorized that the point of view was from Buck Vernon, but now I’m not completely sure, ‘cause who knows if Vernon’s even in this; I’m not even sure if this is from the W.E’s POV, which is Cobb Avery.
but whatever this is, someone is witnessing the summoning of the W.E.
here are the two stanzas I will reference from AN pt 1:
Far out past the astral plane
I cast you back from whence you came
Cosmic cache and blackened brain
And call you by your ancient names
Then I won’t sit around and wait
A fallen star will be thy fate
And call you by your ancient names
These stanzas are the second stanzas in verses one and two.
after doing some re-arranging, I came up with a spell according to the directions provided in “Secret of Life”:
“I call you by your Ancient Names
a fallen star will be thy bane
I call you by your Ancient Names
Cosmic Ash and Blackened Brain
I cast you back from wence you came
I call you by your Ancient Names.”
notice anything? with the clipping of some lines, the stanzas are flipped backwards to make.. some sort of spell, it looks like.
that’s one of my many theories for Lord Huron’s music, I hope it’s not too.. bizzare or crazy, but if it makes some sense.. then good, haha.
let me know if this was interesting! thanks! standby for more, I guess.
