my whole life is a summer town
but nothing lasts forever, the last summer is done

Oh how you fly
But don't call on me;
I won’t be around when you crash
Livin' life without a care on some fool's paradise; it won't last
Alright, as somebody who is bored out of their mind and loves music, I’m gonna rank all of TEB’s albums besides Screamer because I’ve listened to each of them at least twice now (a fuck ton more for the first two)
1. Third Eye Blind - This album is sheer musical perfection. Everything about it is flawless from the lyrics to the instrumentation to the singing. There isn’t a single bad, mediocre, good, or great song on here. They’re all perfect. That being said...
Best 3 Songs: God of Wine, Motorcycle Drive By, Thanks A Lot
Score: 10/10
2. Blue - This album is so close to repeating the same level of success as the first in terms of quality. Almost every song on it is perfect, despite the vibe being fairly different from the self-titled debut. The only mediocre song is The Red Summer Sun.
Best 3 Songs: Anything, Deep Inside of You, An Ode to Maybe
Score: 9.2/10 (yeah, I went with a .2, sue me)
3. Ursa Major - It was hard to put this album above Out of the Vein because its highs don’t reach nearly the same level as the highs of Out of the Vein do. But its lows also don’t reach the same lows. From this point on in the list, perfect songs are harder and harder to come by. This album is composed of pretty good songs with one or two phenomenal ones, and a three-song stretch of disappointment for its conclusion. It’s also overall a major tone shift from anything they’ve done previously.
Best 3 Songs: Why Can’t You Be, Summer Town, About to Break
Score: 8.2 (again, sue me)/10
4. Out of the Vein - To reiterate, this album is filled with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. There are a few songs in the middling point but, mostly, it’s either good or it’s not. Thankfully, it’s good a lot more often than it isn’t. And remember those highest of highs? My Hit and Run has an argument for their best song. At the very least, it’s top five.
Best 3 Songs: My Hit and Run, Forget Myself, Blinded (When I See You)
Score: 8/10
5. Dopamine - This album...you either like the sound or you don’t. It’s very well produced, but the sound they chose for this album is questionable. It’s not Third Eye Blind, and it’s certainly a far cry from the sound that made the band successful. Thankfully, there are still a few songs that are good enough to warrant this being just above average.
Best 3 Songs: Get Me Out of Here, Shipboard Cook, Something in You
Score: 6/10
I want to live a life of danger,
I like holding on to the company of strangers
“Let's go bare knuckle this season; If you lose your heart, then you'd lose your reason”
Third Eye Blind (Don’t Give In)
You’re guiltless and free I hope you take a piece of me with you
motorcycle driveby (3eb)
Well I know that getting you alone isn't easy to do And I don't wanna lie and I don't wanna tell you the truth And I know we got places to go, we got people to see Think we both ought put 'em on hold and I know you agree
Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You (Arctic Monkeys)
he used to call me poison like I was poison ivy I could have died right there cause he was right beside me
Ultraviolence (Lana del Rey)
I poured my aching heart into a pop song I couldn’t get the hang of poetry That’s not a skirt girl that’s a sawn off shotgun And I can only hope you’ve got it aimed at me
Suck It and See (Arctic Monkeys)
A lot of people say I wouldn't have a down day, but you look at the music and there's real melancholy.

Is this network still active?
I guess this blog sort of went on a hiatus. I'm just really busy with school and swim season, but I'll probably put a queue together sometime this week.
I feel the older I get, the more I'm learning to handle life. Being on this quest for a long time, it's all about finding yourself.
