Ford Blackwell. Twenty year old Victor of the 71st annual Hunger Games. I come from District Three and was thrown back into the Arena during the 75th Games. We were rescued, all of us, and somehow I'm in District Thirteen now. Something needs to be done. The people need to be free, to have a voice. Down with the Capitol.

Should visit Eleven sometime, if we get outta here. Pretty. People ain’t exactly friendly folk, but you get used to it.

I have to keep telling myself that we eventually will get out of here, so I'll say that I'm definitely visit District Eleven for more than a few days. On Victory Tours, you don't get much time. [He smiled a little.] I've spent my fair share of time in the Capitol, I can handle less-than-friendly.

Ahh.. Hanna, who ironically is from home. Glimmer.. Most of my best friends have died, unfortunately. My family is gone. But I'll hold onto the people that I do have.

Bein’ out in the open was nice. Liked bein’ around animals, and helpin’ the people who came through.

Home ain’t about where you are, though. Home’s with the people you care about. Least that’s what my dad always said.

It sounds.. really great, actually. There was a small meadow in Three, beyond the residential section of the District that I always liked to walk in, but it was small. Open sky sounds like a very welcome thing to me.

I don't think we're going to receive much of a choice.. It hasn't been the case thus far, anyway.

Especially when we’re practically glued together by Coin, it’s just annoying if we don’t get on with them. And we all kind of understand each other, since we’re all stuck in here together. I think so too, it’s nice to know I have someone there for me when I need them. 

Coin is really, really bad at friendship — imagine living with her in Thirteen your whole life and then finding out she was a bitch, it must be tough. They will be, when we get out of here, hopefully. I can’t even remember her Games, and I’m really glad I can’t right now. That’s good, because the list of names just keeps growing, Mr. Genius, Fords, Danger boy. I’m glad to hear it, your attraction to danger makes me nervous. Oh, really? [She quirked an eyebrow, grinning.] And what’s that? It’s not idiotic, sometimes the forest can feel safer, because there’s so many trees. Well if Oldemort was anything to go by, karma will nail Coin’s ass to the wall.

Absolutely, we've all been forced together for months now. It's nice to have mutual experiences, it helps to form bonds. I think she should be a bit weary of that fact. Of course. I'll always be here for you, Han.

Somehow I have a feeling that certain people were surprised. She plays her part very, very well. But most people have a difficult time keeping all of their true selves under wraps. All I remember is her ripping a boy's throat out with her teeth, which I think says enough. It really does, I'm impressed by your creativity with them. I'm happy to see the list grow. [He grinned at her, letting his hands run down her arms carefully.] That's all it is, an attraction. It'll pass. But yes, really. And her name is Hanna. She's a really amazing girl in case you haven't met her. It feels like hiding, though that's clearly not the case. Let's hope it'll happen sooner than later.

Yeah, even the ones we don’t really know that much. I guess all the small silver linings add up eventually, and make a - gold one. So we have the same goal then, because I want to make sure you’re safe. That’s super important to me.

I feel sorry for the rebels that joined us later, they must be really freaked right now. They don’t have much experience, I just - hope they’re okay. Even more frightening when they’re munching on your neck, I really really hope I don’t have to see her again. Looks like you do, but make sure you’re being careful, danger boy. I don’t want to see one scratch on that face of yours. [She laughed lightly.] We can avoid the forest in general? I hope so too, I really do.

I understand it. I think we’ve all been together united for the same cause, so it’s difficult not to care for the people who’ve shared your struggles. Exactly! That’s.. a good way to think. I think that will ultimately make things a bit easier, then. Looking out for one another.

I can imagine. Along with feeling confused and betrayed. I’m.. I’m sure that everyone will be alright, ultimately. I hope, at any rate. Ah.. I could imagine that wouldn’t feel particularly pleasant. Her year of the Games was certainly one that made me cringe. Hopefully we won’t have to. Danger boy? I always do love your nicknames for me, you know. Trust me, I’ve had enough danger within this Arena to last me. I think I’ve found something more important than getting into danger now. [He grinned, chuckling a bit.] That could be a good idea, but it was a bit far in. Which was idiotic of me in the first place. We just have to have faith that what goes around really does come back around.
