writing should be fun.

make oc playlists. spend hours on moodboards that have no purpose. write self-indulgent fluff that’s never going to be published. scribble three lines of poetry in the back of your history notebook. draw fanart of your own characters. write stupid dialogue that your publishers might hate. start new wips that you might never finish but write those three chapters that make you happy because if you don’t write them, who else will?

writing shouldn’t always be about “will publishers like this” or “i have to reach this word count” or “how do i get the most likes”.

It is a painful truth that actually none of my fics are abandoned, no, not even the ones that haven’t updated in five years. I still know exactly what happens next, and after that, and so on. They’re not abandoned; they’re right here, haunting me, characters climbing up my pants like kittens nagging for dinner.

Hi, I just read your series so wake me up when this is over (when im wiser and im older) and I absolutely loved it, even though it broke my heart. I liked Cody and Obi-Wan the most and I was wondering if you're gonna continue it or not? Perhaps an afterlife part? I'm just so sad after reading about Cody's death and his relief at it. Ahhh thank u!! Sorry it took me so long to answer this! I cried writing most of that series so I’m glad to see I’m passing it on lmao. I am going to continue it!! I have a couple of WIPS atm from that series, I’m just slowly working on them. As for that afterlife idea 👀👀 well you’ll just have to wait and see ✨

thoughts on destiel w crab  & I

me: even if it wasn’t romantic !! that was a Huge moment of trust and bonding between them, and a pivotal moment in their relationship/friendship  crab: like it doesn’t necessarily need to be romantic, it works as just qpp or platonic  me: yeah!  crab: bc canonically I don’t think dean is In Love with Cas, I think dean Loves cas but he isn’t in love with him. I think Cas is canonically in love with Dean, but also as an angel, doesn’t feel the full extent of human emotions, so I highkey vibe w them as qpp    me: yeah p much, and you can love someone in more than one way. I think Cas is in love with Dean, because it’s Dean, and he’s been the one constant in some of the most pivotal parts of Cas’s life; he’s had Dean to rely on etc etc, it gives them a special bond crab: yeah! and like. Dean I think. just doesn’t leave much room in his life for romance, and never ended up falling in love with cas, but he still has a close bond with him me: I think,,, when it comes down to it, that Dean’s world will always resolve around Sam, when it comes down to it. Looking after Sam is so ingrained in Dean’s identity that it’s just,, its always there. What Cas and Dean have is special, without defining it as platonic or romantic; I think it’s just very important to them  crab: dean’s main focus is, was and always will be Sam. but cas and dean,, cas is important in Dean’s life, different from lisa, different from sam  me: And honestly, I don’t think Dean Can love anyone romantically, or trust anybody to that level anymore; he’s just stacked boxes of unresolved trauma that I don’t think he has Room in his life. But he has familial love, and he has whatever the love he has with Cas crab: he hasn’t had a love interest since Lisa, I think that’s important to note, he has flings but love interests???? nah   me: He just Can’t love Cas like that with how he is now, or anyone really, it wouldn’t be kind to either of them. if that makes sense  crab: YEAH !!  @crablad
