On Jax's fear of corn

I just watched a theory by GemelliBelle on youtube about Jax being an ai created by Caine (go watch it omg) and something was bugging me

we know so little about him, all the comments like "what, do you have someone waiting for you out there or something" "don't you?" and him experiencing distress when getting flashes of an altered strange real world street, and him obviously lying about his outside life in the bar, all things which could amount to him being real but having a miserable, lonely life he doesn't want to return to, but the only thing he seems to let slip genuinely is his fear of corn, which just felt so random to me in a show where everything means something so I did some research

corn did not occur naturally in it's current state until humans developed it over 7000 years ago

Corn is a manmade vegetable
