Because I'm bad at playing, I would hear these way too much but this is how I first came to understand Lucanis' devotion to Rook. The battle barks, too. "Get out of there" being my personal favorite...you mean to tell me he was so busy looking after Rook that he would risk himself to call it out? ☺️ The annoyance and fondness of it all

Lockwood who offers his childhood bedroom to Lucy.

Lockwood who offers Lucy to call him whatever she wants, as long as it's Lockwood or Anthony, knowing that only his parents called him by his first name.

Lockwood refusing to get medical treatment / care from the ambulance until he made sure Lucy was okay, when he got hit by a ghost and could have died within an hour.

Lockwood giving his sister's necklace to Lucy.

Lockwood holding Lucy's hand as he jumps off the roof into the Thames.

Lockwood who, thanks to Lucy, manages to be more comfortable and friendly with people.

Lockwood whose suicidal impulses worsened after Lucy left for 4 months.

Heart breaking thinking about Barnes saying "Lockwood's a charlatan. He cuts corners, puts people at risk" and Kipps going: "You won't stick around too long, sweetheart, not once you find out what he's really like" to Lucy.

Like everyone around Lucy keeps telling her that Lockwood doesn't care about anyone but himself when all he really does is care SO DEEPLY and SO PAINFULLY he would do anything to make sure Lucy is safe. And yeah maybe it's his fault they're in trouble at all, he was behaving recklessly, but that doesn't mean the bad rep about him being selfish is deserved.

I love how Lucy refuses to believe it even in her moments of doubt and anger about Lockwood and sticks around to see for herself just how wrong everyone is about him. He's troubled, deeply so, and can be very stupid because of it but that doesn't erase the fact that he cares so so much.

Its sad how everyone, even people who can see the facade around Lockwood, simply pretend they don't. Barnes gets better by the end, seems to actually care about the trio. Yet its truly so sad how deeply Lockwood loves, he basically bleeds it and doesn't even try to hide it. The way he pushes people away begs of how much he wants to keep them close but is terrified to. And people keep reinforcing every awful thing he already thinks about himself, that he's unworthy, that its better if people leave him and SAVE THEMSELVES as if Lockwood is some harbinger of pain and death... his actual biggest fear.

Idk but I just have so many emotions about Lockwood wishing to sacrificing himself to save Lucy in this scene after withstanding god knows how long being tortured in an electric chair just because he can't stand the idea of someone he cares for, loves, getting hurt because of him.

"We'll go carefully, I promise."

This simple phrase might just be the most underrated line uttered between Lockwood and Lucy.

This we'll go carefully from the world's most reckless boy. It's an acknowledgement that he knows he's far too impulsive and blasé about life but she isn't. It's a vow to change his behavior because it's what she needs. It's the gentle but very specific promise to be careful with her so she doesn't get hurt.

For so long Lucy has been disregarded and used. Her safety and happiness and comfort, as well as those she cares about, was irrelevant to anyone with power.

Now the man she technically works for, whose roof she lives under, is saying he'll listen to her, he'll respect her wishes, and he believes her. And Lucy believes him, because he says it while apologizing, while patching her up and addressing his own faults and wrongdoings.

That is so important for their relationship, both as friends and anything further. That moment right there is the foundation, and the moment many argue their relationship definitively changes from friends/coworkers to taking on a romantic glint.

We've only gotten four episodes after that moment, but of all the screw ups Lockwood has, he kept the promise he made in that scene- he doesn't tell anyone about her ability no matter how much attention or benefit they could get from it and he chooses to trust her judgement with regards to her own power (Bickerstaff's Manor and going into the catacombs alone, for example).

In short I think that line is so tremendously important and deserves so much attention and not just because of how badly he obviously wants to kiss her in that moment.

I don't think Netflix understand how much I need to see The Guppy's Case. Or the spirit capes. The Tooting apartment. Dark London. Lockwood saving Lucy during the Wintergarden's case. Kipps hesitantly and then all at once, being part of the team. Kipps using the goggles. The scene where they decide who sleeps in which room at the motel. Lucy giving a high kick towards Mr. Rotwell into oblivion. The second necklace. The final battle at Fittes building. The walk into the sunset.

I am BEGGING, from the depths of my heart, for people to watch Lockwood and Co this week.

This week determines whether we’ll get a renewal. IM BEGGING people to watch it; PLEASE let this be the show that breaks the Netflix curse. PLEASE let this be the show that EXCELLED despite Netflix not promoting it.

It’s a story of found family, three teens who would live and die for each other, who are all lost until they find one another. And they hunt ghosts. I MEAN COME ON 😭🙏
