Summary:
He runs toward the back of the cave on frantic feet. There is something else too, but—he is here, he must be here— A faint whimper. “A-Yuan!” Something, he can’t make out what, bowls him over in a tangle of limbs. It is snarling, trying to sink its long claws into him, and he reacts on instinct, pushing it away from him, away from the child cowering in the corner, and drawing Bichen. Getting to his feet, he raises his sword between himself and the pair of glowing red eyes. The thing moves so the light at the entrance of the cave outlines the thin, humanoid figure wearing dripping robes of black and red.
Lan Wangji finds Wei Wuxian, alive, when he saves A-Yuan from the Burial Mounds. His humanity, however, may be gone forever. Lan Xichen just wants to keep his brother safe.
Look! I made something! This was created for the MDZS 2021 Reverse Big Bang and contains waaay more Lan brothers feels than originally intended lol.
