every time I go to do my annual rewatch of Sherlock I am struck anew by the fact that it is just. so profoundly gay.

it's not just the obviously queer coded moments where Sherlock doesn't correct mrs. Hudson or the restaurant about his and john's relationship, it's also the way mike is just smirking the entire time he's introducing them. It's also the way John says they don't know anything about each other and they're still getting a flat share. Genuinely HOW is there so much tension and so much friction like the WAY John says 'oh god, yes' when Sherlock asks if he wants to see some more violence is positively pornographic what in the world is happening.
