"Why didn't they just communicate?? They're so stupid!" Have you considered that communicating with someone you love and value and don't want to hurt is scary and that vulnerability takes practice and that perfect characters with perfect words make the most boring stories of all
Updated version of Boy Who Cried Wolf but there are actual wolves every single time and no one ever believes the boy - they get closer and closer every time he tries to warn them, until it's too late and the whole town screams at the boy for not warning them "enough", and blame him for the wolves at their door.
Do you ever start writing something that youâre excited about and that seems like itâs turning out well and that youâre getting eager to share, and then you start typing it up or doing an edit pass and itâs just awful itâs awful its premise is fundamentally flawed and itâs out of character and the prose is clunky and the plot is badly paced and ludicrous and the whole thing is embarrassing, how could you have done this, how could you have sunk so much time into this, you canât even look at it, how is this that shining thing you were so excited about, how could you even have considered finishing it let alone sharing it with anyone, youâre crying, your mother is crying, nuns are spontaneously exploding in the streets,
reread the WIP I wrote this about and turns out actually itâs fine
I live in Edinburgh and went to spy on the Good Omens filming location today. I come bearing GIFTS for the fandom.
(The photo with the red arrow on it is pointing to Derek Jacobi aka Metatron behind an umbrella, I wasnât quick enough on the draw)
Edit: apparently tumblr only allows you to share one video so post has been updated with the better of my two featuring DT!

Remember kids: one of the punkest things you can do right now is to look out for your neighbors and make sure they are safe
Shared here today by Matthew Boroson on Facebook. (ETA: Gaining inspiration from other authors is great. Lifting passages and avoiding giving credit isnât.)
Tanith Lee was the first woman to win the British Fantasy Award for best novel, for the second book of the Flat Earth series. She died in 2015. You can buy Tales From the Flat Earth here and here .
I'll be checking these out.
have some mercy my dude
Just so you know ....
How I imagine it's going up in Heaven
- What did you even tell that artist?
- I wasn't...I didn't!!! I was simply trying to get Gabriel off our backs by-by planting evidence of our rivalry!
- Uh-huh
- I didn't think they'd draw me looking like a strongman!! Or...or quite so hairless...
-That is a shame...

Happy birthday Mary Shelley!
Mary was born on August 30th, 1797. She is best known for pioneering the sci-fi genre when she wrote Frankenstein at just 19.
Mary was married to Percy Shelley from 1816 until his death six years later - she also described herself as âapt to get tousy-mousy for womenâ - in particular, her friend Jane Williams. Mary also provided support for other queer people in her life - in 1827, she obtained a false passport for her friend Doddy, who was assigned female at birth, to leave England and start a new life as a married man in France.

James Bond isn't the only spy inspiring Crowley
@irradiatedwarlock gets the credit for locating the following additions to the conspiracy!
Me: If they remade hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy I'd need david Tennant and Michael to play the main characters but it would need to be gay
My brain: you just want more aziraphale and crowley again. Don't lie
okay
Okay.
OKAY BUT.
David Tennant as Arthur and Michael Sheen as Ford would be the most magical experience in my life.
Jon Hamm would do a terrific Zaphod Beeblebrox.
I'm just saying.
NINA SOSANYA FOR TRILLIAN.
Thinking of Michael Sheen and his tartan socks and "To our world," and thinking that maybe he wasn't talking about Aziraphale and Crowley (or not exclusively) but about all of us. About all of the people whose love and passion has made Good Omens more than just a book/show for 30+ years.
He was a fan long before he was Aziraphale. He's loved this world the way so many of us have. And he, and other passionate, love filled people have been able to bring it to life and bring it to new audiences, who have fallen in love with it.
"To our world" means all the people with battered paperbacks with suspicious stains, or third copies because the previous copies were "loaned" to a friend and never returned.
"To our world" means everyone who's kindly argued over meaning and shared theories and provided historical context and found a deeper understanding.
"To our world" means all the artists who have imagined these characters in so many ways and shared their visions over the decades.
"To our world" means all the writers who have taken the source material and ran with it, expanding the world and bringing new meaning and new understanding to it.
"To our world" means all the cosplayers who transform themselves into the characters, who love them so much they need to become them, if only for a few hours.
"To our world" means the hundreds of lucky professionals who have gotten to do those things to turn a beloved book into a beloved show.
"To our world" means all of us and the friendships and love that has bloomed because of this thing we have co-created. Our world.
I think this exactly the sort of thing Michael would intend and want to stand for, even if he wasn't thinking of all these things specifically. But then he might have done. He's that sort.
What sort of person would I be if I didnât do a little Strange Moons doodle? Prompt for the 21st was Bathing/Spa day and I kept thinking about this heartbreaking and powerful little scene from Dulce Et Decorum Est. @racketghost đ
Okay, now itâs past midnight and Iâm going to bed because my brain is a strange moon at this point đ
Crowley and Aziraphale browse the LPs for something sweet and soulful.
I painted in all the album covers except Hozier. (Process clips can be found on IG.) I said, I can't do that one, I've had enough. Everything pictured is special to me or someone I love. My dad used to play Miles Davis for us and it sounded like cozy luxury.
AMAZING.
This is just gorgeous.
