May the Grace of God Lead You to Computer Classes || Warren & Kurt
berlinallover:
âJa, but it vas self defense. He is very nice, and he is sorry for vhat he has done. I have prayed viz him before.â He smiled pleasantly, putting some of their spare food into a little basket. He handed it to his friend, still smiling. âYou are so pretty, Varren. I am sorry zat it is only appreciated by people who are looking at you like zat.â
He snorted a little as he accepted the basket. âAlright, just, be careful, yeah?â He smiled and shrugged. âI donât mind. If they want to give me money for standing there half-naked, thatâs their problem.â He winked. âItâs a pretty easy living, really.â Except for the fact he was working sixteen hours at a time some nights and still barely made enough to cover his rent and food. Plus the constant threat of being replaced by someone younger and hotter that was always hanging over his head.

She glared back at him a moment, then let the spell that caused her claws fade away. âWhyâd you do that?â she finally asked, looking up at him suspiciously. âNobody does anythinâ for me.â
âWe had a deal.â He shrugged. âI said I wouldnât let anyone lay a hand on you and I meant it.â He sighed and looked at her. âI obviously canât do that anymore so youâre totally off the hook. Consider our short-lived marriage officially annulled.â

berlinallover:
He shook his head. âVhy vould you be a freak?â he pressed. âViz Magneto here, and â and me? No vone vould look at you like zat.â
âIf you vould just tryâŠ!â
He finally looked at him, really looked. And the expression on Warrenâs face made him look about ten years younger. He had such a longing in his heart and Kurt was pulling it out of him. He wanted to belong. To be forgiven. He was just a kid, even if he pretended otherwise. He was lost and didnât know what to do when heâd fucked up so badly. His life was over. There was no redemption to be found after what heâd done. And yet... Nightcrawler was here, offering him a chance.
âHow?â
Territorial Creatures || Laura & Warren
weaponnotachild:
âYeah. Guess itâs like that with most people.â Of course, her situation was more that she was wanted, and she didnât want to be anymore. Not like that, anyway. She finished up her food and licked any grease left off her fingers. âShould go back. Wanna sleep before I go.â
He nodded, not speaking again until heâd finished his food as well. âYeah, thatâs a good idea.â He stood and started clearing up the little camp theyâd made, choosing very deliberately not to think about how he wouldnât have minded her staying a little longer.
weaponnotachild:
Laura was very barely avoiding outwardly growling by the time the woman left. âYâwant me to go stab her?â she grumbled to him lowly, meaning it totally. She did not like people approaching her husband like that.
He smirked a little and put an arm around her shoulders to kiss her temple. âNah, she got the hint. Letâs find some food.â He always came to these things starving. That way he could cost these rich bastards a bunch of money in food costs.

berlinallover:
He blinked, a bit startled. ââŠNein, I⊠I thoughtâŠâ He swallowed and licked his lips. He quickly straightened out his clothes and turned. âCome, I vill give you ze food.â He turned and lead the way towards the back of the church, smiling pleasantly at the people he passed. âOh, zey are not dangerous murderers,â he said once they were in a quieter room and he was looking through cabinets. âVone of zem is named Dave!â
He was still frowning a bit. âYeah, but this Dave guy still killed someone.â He really didnât want Kurt to end up getting murdered because he was so kind and trusting. Maybe heâd have to visit the church more often.
weaponnotachild:
She grunted, a noise that didnât sound quite right coming out of someone dressed as nicely as she was. She kept hold of his arm and sniffed around the room, taking in all the new scents. And deciding she didnât like it.
âFood better be worth it,â she told him. âAlready hate everyone here.â
He smirked a little. âYouâre telling me.â He said softly. He smiled pleasantly at an older woman who came over to greet them. She flirted a bit with him, until Warren politely, but savagely, reminded the woman how he was married to a beautiful, intelligent, young woman his own age. She smiled tightly and turned to try her luck elsewhere.

She just stared at him for a few moments, chewing in silence. âWhyâre you out here?â she finally asked. âDonât see many other kids wanderinâ around in the middle of nowhere.â
âI fucked up. People donât want me around.â He didnât bother explaining further than that. She didnât know who he was yet and he wasnât going to remedy that.

weaponnotachild:
She kept him pinned there, right up until the last word came out of his mouth. Then she frowned a little and let him go, stepping back. âWhy were you banished,â she said, in a monotone of confusion.
âBecause I said no when my mother threatened to have you executed.â He glared a bit. He wasnât upset with her really. Heâd still have done it if heâd known it would get him banished. But he was still irritated that he was out in the woods in underclothes and no boots.

weaponnotachild:
She growled and grabbed him, shoving him up against a tree. âDonât walk away from me!â she snapped. âWhy the hell would you come out here like this if you werenât following me?! Dealâs void cause Iâm a witch, ainât it? Means Iâm not a person, right?â
He gasped when he hit the tree, trying to push her off. âWhat? No, of course itâs still valid. I donât give a fuck if you can do magic or not. I knew you were a witch when we made our deal. I came out here like this because I was banished.â
Stuff of Nightmares || Kurt & Warren
berlinallover:
Kurt just let him rant a moment, steadily maintaining eye contact. Not backing down. This was important, and Warren needed to hear it. He needed to listen.
âNo vone vould choose to be in zat place,â he said quietly. âNo vone vould choose to have to fight for zeir lives vhile humans just laughed. I know you have been hurt because I have seen â I have caused. You vill say vhat you vant, but I vill not be fooled. Not vhen I have seen it.â
He made a disdainful sound and looked away. âBelieve whatever you want. Iâm not a victim. And I canât stay here.â He hated himself for it, but he wanted to. He wanted to stay here and be given forgiveness for what heâd done. But he knew he didnât deserve it. Not by a long shot.
âBeing hurt doesnât excuse murder. I wonât have people staring at me like Iâm a freak. Iâve had enough of that.â
berlinallover:
He thought about it a moment, biting on his lip with a fang. He finally met Warrenâs gaze with bright golden eyes.
âIf I close my eyes, vill you promise to be fast?â
Oh Lord, he was going to have to be in confessional a long time this week.
He grinned a bit. âI promise. Shut your eyes.â Once Kurt did, he sidled up to the womanâs cart. She was busy picking out yet another turkey, so Warren didnât feel bad at all scooping the one they wanted out of her cart. Very quickly, he turned back to Kurt and grabbed his hand.
âOkay, I got one, letâs get up to the front to pay!â

berlinallover:
He shook his head. âNein, zat is not true,â he said. âZey give us ze food to feed people who are hungry. Zat is it. If zey think it is going only to Christians, zen zat is zeir problem. I am often giving food to people like you. I have given zem to murderers before. You can accept help from us. Ve are not just for ze believers. Ve are for everyvone. And I vant to help you.â He smiled warmly at him. âIf you vant food, I vill give you food. Zat is all zere is to it.â
He smiled back. âYou really are a good person. You know youâre one of the reasons I always come here, right?â He thought Kurt should know that. âIâd love some food. But you should be careful, talking to murderers.â He said, face growing a little more concerned.Â

weaponnotachild:
She didnât respond for a few moments, just eating. When she spoke her voice was soft. âSâpeople after me,â she said. âThink I belong to them. Mâgoinâ so I can be my own. Not what they make me into.â She watched the fire. âDonât want to be what someone else wants me to anymore.â
He nodded and was quiet for a second. âGood for you. Fuck people like that.â He said before turning back to his food.
my fair fowler || Warren & Laura
weaponnotachild:
She ran for a while before climbing into a tree. She was in a lot of pain, from her hurt bones and the cuts on her hands. So she cut into the tree enough to feel sap, and drew power from that. She spent several minutes doing healing spells to speed up the processes the magic in her blood was already starting.
Her bones mended and her hand wounds closed. She leaned heavily against the tree and just tried to breathe for a few moments. Then she picked up a familiar scent and frowned. She did a quick spell to give herself claws, and went after it.
A couple minutes of tree stalking later, and she dropped down in front of Warren and pointed her claws at his throat. âWhatâre you doing here?â she asked sharply. âWhy are you following me?â
He jumped, wings poofing out when the woman dropped in front of him. âExcuse me?â He glared, even with the claws at his throat. âYou think I followed you? Like this?â He gestured at himself. âIn my nightclothes with no shoes? Why the hell would I do something like that? We had a deal. Youâre free to do whatever you want.â
He walked around her, irritatated, and kept tramping through the forest.
