In animal physiology, the study of the biological processes that enable an animals life to exist, you learn that an environment has a big impact on if an animal will survive, and to stay alive it must exchange with its environment. During the time in its environment there will be a series of changes that will occur in the animals physiology, including acute and chronic changes while the animal is acclimating. If the animal dies then there is something wrong with the environment that must be changed... At Sea Life Park 124 dolphins (that we know of) have died in their environment, in 50+ years the rate of dolphin deaths at this facility have not decreased, and in the terms of animal physiology this means there is something incredibly wrong with the animals environment in which case they can not survive after years of changes and veterinary care. The answer is they belong in a natural setting, the ocean. After millions of years evolving to live in the ocean, dolphins can not acclimate to this unnatural synthetic setting and there is no reason for their lives there. Looking at these images, its very clear the state of the environment these dolphins are having to live in. It is extremely dirty, under maintenanced, and poorly filtrated. Please do not support dolphin captivity in Hawai'i. We are surrounded by an ocean full of wildlife that does not belong in a tank. Captivity kills.
