I do appreciate you, whoever you may be! This little blog has gotten more followers than I ever expected, thank you for sticking with me all this time :')

I am probably one of your worst resources when it comes to finding fics, I can hardly even find time to write much less read. Though there are a few tried and true individuals out there that I cannot recommend enough.

Let's start with the queen herself: @star-named-riddle Literally no notes, eats and leaves no crumbs. Personal favorite (right now) - I have never known a silence like the one fallen here (never watched my future darken in a single tear) which is kind of ironic because it's written from Hermione's POV (mostly) but like I eat this up quite regularly (yeah girl, if you see someone clicking on your page it's probably me). 10/10 recommend. That's just one among so many others, like that current WIP.. let's just say I'm at the edge of my seat. I urge everyone to take a look at that as well as the rest of her works, especially if you like Bella/V/Rod dynamics!!

Secondly, I'd be remiss not to include: @motherfuckingmaneater because once again, speechless. Genuinely gf has a gift. Great grasp on characterization, very creative in her concepts, love the way that she can weave magic into her pieces too (cause let me tell you, sometimes when I am deep in dialogue I literally forget that these are witches and wizards I'm writing, which is shameful but true). Go read this - a serpents love and also Gods and Monsters. She also writes just a small, tinsy bit of blackcest too (which I fall head over heels for), so definitely check that out! Actually has a ton of fantastic material on her page so don't mind me just linking that here: A Literal Legend

Also, I have to include this: Bellatrix and her Master If this author has a Tumblr someone pls lmk or drop the @ because o.m.g. ..That last chapter actually might be one of my favorite things - the dialogue? How? "our little bastard" PLEASE. I literally was punching the air reading that. I can't believe I never fucking thought of it, I want to steal that SO BAD but I can't.

There's def a lot of like individual works that I come across centered around Delphini that I do enjoy, but not too many that include Bella, Voldemort AND Rodolphus. That's a tall order, unfortunately. This side of the fandom is much too small.

hello everyone! I wanted to take a moment and share a list of all my Lucissa fics here as I've noticed people seem to be fairly active in the tag and I think a few of these really deserve a wider audience. Please check them out and leave kudos if you enjoy them! They are also all organized in a series here if you just want to head straight to AO3 and start reading

the time commitments:

Be Careful of the Curse (102k): I really set out to write a comprehensive backstory for the Malfoy family as we see them in the books and I'm definitely proud of how it came out. It's meant to be (allllmostttt) canon compliant with just the unknown details filled in, starting with Lucius and Narcissa getting married out of somewhat unusual circumstances and it ends as Draco's own family life begins. If I could MAKE you read one story here it would definitely be this one because I just want it to have its day in the sun!

Juno (18k, WIP): I'm currently working on this fun, smutty marriage of convenience trope and hope to have it finished within a few more chapters fairly soon. This is the only X-rated Lucissa fic I've written and it is definitely that! Check out the tags but it's Lucius and Narcissa finding out after a lifetime of friendship that they really do suit each other, down to slightly depraved sexual desires. It's a light dom/sub, daddy kink, breeding kink kind of thing...

the oneshots:

would you hold it against me? (2.6k): This one came about years after writing the start of Be Careful of the Curse and kind of wishing it had started just a bit differently - Lucius and Andromeda have been arranged as a pair since they were children, but he starts to have eyes for Narcissa, and all three of them are in a mess as they realize nothing is going to work out the way it's supposed to.

Shifting (2.6k): Loovveeee this one, just a quick headcanon about why Narcissa and her sisters don't look alike. We know that there are Metamorphmagus genes in the family - Narcissa has her own way of handling it, and eventually gets to meet the next generation that took after her.

The Steps (1.9k): By far the shortest but still just as sweet. Lucius is secretly pining for his aloof and difficult childhood friend, but it turns out that she's been keeping something hidden under her hard outer shell...and there was only one bed. obviously

Five Months Until Summer - 27k, rated E

She's tried three times over holiday break and it hasn't worked out. Now she has a little more than five months until summer when she can try again. It can't be Ron. Even if were someone she was less close to, she can't shag someone she knows, someone she's known since they were all eleven, and have it get around the school. How ridiculous. She straightens her skirt and wraps her tie around her neck to begin tying it before they get too close to Hogsmeade. Her fingers fumble with it absently when she bounces right off a hard chest. Ice blue eyes narrow down at her. She tries to squeeze by him and maybe she imagines it, but he seems to hesitate a fraction of a second. She ducks under his arm instead and continues on towards her own carriage, wondering why her pulse sped up, and why it won't slow back down now that she's noticed it.

(it says incomplete on ao3, but it's only missing epilogues so don't be afraid of starting it)

the commoner's guide to bedding a royal by olivieblake — god, this fic!!!! it's a modern royal au and the ensemble of characters make this whole world feel so alive. it's inspired by will/kate and harry/meghan and it's sooo cute. theo and daphne were the breakout characters and i love them dearly. if you're looking for a lighthearted romcom-esque, occasionally angsty (because duh!) fic, this is it!!! i probably read this in two days which is insane considering the word count, but that should just tell you how lovely this whole fic was. there's a second part to this if you're itching for more afterwards (and it's just as good!)

draco malfoy and the mortifying ordeal of being in love by isthisselfcare — honestly if you haven't read this yet..... this is god tier. a CLASSIC. this should be taught in the schools. hermione's a magical researcher / healer and draco's one of the best aurors out there. he's assigned to protect hermione because she's in the midst of a big discovery. hermione's not happy about it and draco isn't either. slow burn!! idiots in LOVE!! forced proximity!!!!! EMBEDDED ART!!! honestly this is the fic that made me want to learn how to bind which is so serious and if you haven't read this yet you need to.

the disappearances of draco malfoy by speechwriter — this is my new canon. it's a deathly hallows rewrite where draco accepts dumbledore's offer to fake his death and go into hiding with the order. enemies to friends to lovers. i honestly can't even remember what happened in canon because this is IT for me.

this world or any other series by olivieblake — includes clean (book one) and marked (book two). anything by olivieblake should be a must-read, i swear to god. this one starts as a year 6 slow burn. draco and hermione are assigned partners for potions and it all snowballs from there. olivie writes so beautifully and her characterizations for hermione / draco are so good. slight warning for marked: this destroyed me and i pretend it doesn't exist, but it's still a must-read.

rights and wrongs series by lovesbitca8 — you want fluffy dramione? read the first two parts of the rights and wrongs series. you want dark and heavy dramione? read the auction, an alternate universe of the fluffy dramione, where voldemort wins and they all get auctioned off to death eaters. please check the tags for the voldy wins au! all three were chef's kiss and coming from someone who isn't a fan of dark aus, reading the first two helped me get through the auction because you know where draco's coming from / what's in his head. you can just read the auction without reading the first two parts unless you like catching parallels and having more depth / context (which i very much love).
