☆ When Ryland knew his time was nearing, he requested to rocky that he go home to earth; not bearing the thought of rocky wasting away years "watching" ryland sleep until his own death neared. When on earth, years had past and only a few knew of who Ryland Grace really was; they offered him riches and luxuries for his end of life care yet all Ryland did was visit Colt's headstone, requesting he be buried alongside his brother who's grave was always lined with fresh flowers. He liked to believe rocky, no matter how far he was, would honour this habit of his by keeping to the flowers he left in the biodome.
☆ Colt was a leading activist who made it his mission to inform every last person on the earth that Grace's involvment in project hail mary was involuntary. He dedicated years to a documentary explaining his brother's life and his experience on the petrova taskforce. However he turned down any biopics, claiming him "acting as his brother" would deminish the importance of Ryland's sacrifice. He refused to bathe in the success of his brother's death sentence.
☆ Ryland often didn't help himself when it came to being sad and listening to even more depressing songs which only made him feel worse. After the launch of the Hail Mary, Colt finally took a go at his brother's old habit and made a playlist of Ryland's favourite songs he'd expect grace to associate with being murdered and sent into space to die. He did not turn that playlist off for months, it often being the only source of comfort that could help him sleep.
☆ On Erid, Grace had spoken to Rocky and Adrian about his brother and the two became familiar with hearing the name Colt. On the anniversary which marked Grace's fifth year on Erid, the couple had a specialist team study a picture of colt ryland had framed in his bedroom: soon after grace had his very own Colt statue. However he did later admit to rocky he found the gesture sweet but the statue was offputting in an uncanny way. It was also an outfit in reference to one of his stunt jobs. That night Grace had to explain to Rocky and Adrian why he, and the majority of hollywood, hated Tom Ryder with every fibre of his being.
☆ Grace talks to himself in 2nd person frequently, a voice of reason if you will. Which is rather ironic since he pretends its Colt.
☆ Every movie set Colt goes to, he keeps his receation of the earth bean bag on his person at all times for good luck, pretending Grace is right there with him.
☆ Grace was an avid pineapple on pizza defender. Colt cannot for the life of him stand that combo. However, whenever someone slanders it infront of him he defends it like his life depends on it, for Grace's sake. He might even be convincing himself it's not that bad in the process (it is).
☆ Colt was at Grace's kids graduation; he requested they all make a video saying what they wish Mr Grace could hear. He watches those videos every night before he goes to bed, reminding himself of all the people who saw grace for grace, not just an expendable piece of a greater puzzle.
☆ Colt has always loathed Stratt for what she did to his brother, to their family. But deep down he will always be indebted to her for pushing Grace into a scenario where he found someone to be brave for. She showed him the footage grace sent; he has the frame of rocky and grace together framed by his bed.
