i made it all the way through middle school and then all the way through high school and now all the way through college and it feels like i've just been released from some horrendous torture chamber i know im going to have to find a job but right now im just like no one can ever tell me where to go or what to do again. and that is crazy because my entire life ive been under the jurisdiction of some authority or another. since birth i have been beneath someone. since birth i have been anxious about doing assignments, missing assignments, going to class, not going to class, being too smart, being too stupid, too fast, too slow, too clever, too dumb, always late, always somehow late, always on guard, always shameful, always feeling wrong, hating my teachers and worshipping them, biting at the hand of the institution, being slapped by the hand of the institution, following a calendar set for my entire life until about two weeks ago
