That Quiet BPD feel when you want people to know how much youâre suffering but you can only fantasize about acting out
I see lots of positivity on this site for acting-out borderlines, which is great, but I also want to give a quick shout out to acting-in type borderlines. Youâre valid even if you donât lash out or melt down when youâre upset. Having all that intense emotion trapped inside you and not being able to let it out can feel just as bad. You donât have to act out to prove youâre a âreal borderlineâ. Youâre valid. I love you.
The quiet borderline type is rarely ever talked about to the point that when I was diagnosed with bpd I denied it for over a year and my family and boyfriend didn't believe the diagnosis. No one, even at the time of diagnosis, explained to me that you can have bpd withing lashing out and there was in fact a diagnosis called quiet borderline where you lash inwards on yourself instead. Please start talking about this more!!!! I denied myself help because it's not known about so I didn't believe my own diagnosis.
