Element 2 Brief
For this part of the course, we will be promoting a concept collaborated piece between 2 brands. The first brand is a fashion brand of our choice, where we will include evidence to support such as consumer profiles, market position, values, DNA etc.
I think I will be deciding to work with Vivienne Westwood for my research fashion brand, to continue with my investigation towards British punk movement.
Second brand I am still note sure what type of brand to be promoting, but I am thinking about jewellery. I was thinking about something to do with hair, hair accessories or products, or makeup. They played a massive role in defining the punk fashion, and I think punk beauty can be a somewhere to begin for my brand promotion.

FIRST LESSON IN FASHION COM, 27.09
Today we had our first briefing for Fashion Communication and Promotion, which included the 3 main briefs the course will be focusing and working towards for the remainder of the term.
We started with a short exercise where we explored our self perception and self identity, asking the question HOW DO WE VIEW YOURSELF?
It started as a short exercise to describe ourselves using 5 words, and my words were:
~ Innovation ~ Curious ~ Sustainable ~ Attention to detail ~ Responsible
It broadened to what are my core values, and issues I care about: ~ Eco sustainable, community work, exploring and Equal opportunity, towards others from circumstances.
We also noted what we like to do, and I included Making music (focusing on indie pop) jewellery making, and practicing self care like yoga.
This expanded to what type of skills we would like to develop further, and how they can also be utilised in my role within fashion, these are some skills I had listed:
~ Enrichment and work: Working independent + collaborating with other designers, working under pressure ~ Interpersonal skills - Communication, authenticity, connection relating back to society - social/ political/ cultural ~ IT: Photoshop, other apps for illustration, musical producing ~ Creative and documenting : Research, moodboard, pitching and planning
This was like a warm up for preparing us for the main briefing we would be working towards until December.
