Rice planting. Nepal
Vibe checking. Nepal
I was curious about a source on this because OP has it tagged as “india,” while the two comments above affirm it as Nepal.
Interestingly, reverse image search brought up this photo, which appears to be a capture of the exact same moment, just from a different angle:
Nepalese farmers throw mud at each other in a paddy field in Tau-Daha village on the outskirts of Kathmandu on June 29, 2010. The farmers are celebrating National Paddy Day on ‘Asar 15’ of the Nepali calendar as the annual rice planting season begins. AFP PHOTO/Prakash MATHEMA
Two more photos of continued vibe checking, also from Prakash Mathema [1] [2]
And a personal favourite from 2018 (in Lele village):
I realize this is a cast iron gate but I’m choosing to believe it’s a magic protection ritual
It IS a magic protection ritual, and it summons an iron gate to protect you from intruders.
You ever think about many peices of media have zero women and thats just perfectly normal but if a peice of media has an all female cast people get... like that? Women should be allowed to kill over this btw
same but it's black people
That's right
That was the doctor who refused to abandon his patients, so Israel killed his son in front of him. They refused to show us him for a long time after he walked up to the tank during the attack on his hospital in 2024. The arrested this hosital director—a pediatrician—without charge and detained him in Ofer prison.
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, who has been in Israeli detention since December 2024, is in a "dire" health condition, United Nations experts warned
Zionists laughed that he was safe and greeted politely.
"The Israeli army does not know what it wants. They detained me for a few hours and interrogated me about whether there were fighters inside the hospital, and demanded that I evacuate the hospital completely, but I refused and assured them that there were only patients inside the hospital. But 57 of the hospital’s medical staff were arrested, (...) So we are suffering from a severe shortage of doctors, especially surgeons. Right now, we only have pediatricians — it is a huge challenge to work under these circumstances. I refused to leave the hospital and sacrifice my patients, so the army punished me by killing my son. I saw him die at the entrance gate — it was a great shock. I found a grave for him near one of the hospital’s walls, so that he could stay close to me.”
They refused to give him medication for his heart condition and they severely tortured him, trying to get him to confess to bworkkng for Hamas, which he denies and so do his coworkers. It's entirely baseless an accusation.
Qassem warned that her client's health was "very worrying"."He is suffering from arterial tension, cardiac arrhythmia and vision problems," she said, adding "he has lost 20 kilos in two months and fractured four ribs during interrogations, without receiving proper medical care".
The doctor remains calm, she said, but "wonders what crime he has committed" to be subjected to "such inhumane conditions".
According to the lawyer, Abu Safiya's jailers are demanding that he confess to having operated on members of Hamas or Israeli hostages held in Gaza, but he has refused to do so and denies the accusations.
The doctor insists that he is just a paediatrician, "and everything he did was out of a moral, professional and human duty towards the patients and the wounded", Qassem said.
Since October 7, 2023, around 5,000 Gazans have been arrested by Israel, and some were subsequently released in exchange for hostages held in Gaza.In general, they are accused of "belonging to a terrorist organisation" or of posing "a threat to Israel's security," the lawyer said.
Qassem said that a number of detainees are being held without charge or trial and that their lawyers often did not know where their clients were during the first months of the war.
The director of Gaza's Kamal Adwan hospital who was detained by Israeli forces in December is being held in "inhumane" conditions by Israel

happy fourth of july to the philippines ONLY

hi, filipino here. just want to say that our independence day is june 12, not july 4. july 4 is when the united states government decided that they would recognize our freedom, specifically because it is your independence day and they wanted to cement their cultural hegemony over our country. and because of their influence on our country this was recognized for a time as our independence day. we still commemorate it, but i hope you can understand why we don’t want our independence day to be associated so closely with our former colonizer. it wasn’t even a work holiday for us.
june 12 is the day that we filipinos declared our own independence for ourselves, and that is what we celebrate as independence day
happy june 12 to you
they should allow you to report posts for being gauche or passé
its cool how every language has wordplay.... we created language like ok step 1) convey info so we can stay alive 2) get silly with it

FOR THE RECORD. I would never actually guilt someone with killing myself I'm not good at committing
won't lie tho one time a student was really rude to me and I was like what if I killed myself. Would you feel bad?
either you die a hero or you live long enough to become the 25+yo online friend you regularly have to talk down from suicide on a Tuesday night

MOSTLY it's just stuff against traditional British values (most educators have to promote this as part of their jobs)
