So as a dm I've learned the scariest thing you can do to your players is just roll behind the screen with no explanation. So after one of my players got a new fancy sword, anytime there was a lull in the game I'd roll. I set my dc at 10, and was rolling hot for a while. Three sessions later, I finally failed, looked at the fighter and said "your sword coughs"

Imagine Zag with a baby sling strapped to his back running through hell. The reactions of the various characters he runs into.

Meg would pretend not to care but would be secretly pleased to see her, Alecto would probably be mostly confused (and get angry at Zagreus for making her confused), and Tisiphone would, like, poke the baby or something (because what is this small squishy thing?? Do i murder it?)

Sisyphus would be happy to see a new friendly face. Eurydice is mad that he'd put a baby in danger, but eventually goes "here, a snack for the little one, too". Patroclus is mostly just amused by the whole thing.

Theseus is SO offended that Zagreus would bring a "hostage" with him, and Asterius offers to babysit while they fight so the "little one" doesnt get hurt. Only once does an attack come even close to them by accident, and Asterius is SO PISSED that he yells, scares the baby, and immediately starts apologizing. Theseus and Zagreus stay on the opposite end of the arena for the rest of the fight.
