Top tips for keeping your teeth healthy and clean by a regressor for regressors!
I'm gonna make a chart soon but this is just for now! Source under cut!
To keep healthy teeth and gums you need to brush twice a day! Once when you wake up and once before you go to sleep
Flossing is important too! You should floss at least once a day. If you feel you have something in your teeth and you've already flossed that day, it is okay to floss again but try not to do it too much!
If you have retainers (after having braces) you should wear them every night or your teeth will move again!
If you use a pacifier often your teeth may move, especially if you are not using one made for adults! (I do not have a source for this, but it is a well known fact!)
How to brush your teeth effectively:
You should brush for about two minutes each time you brush your teeth! Get bored while you brush? Why not put on a song? A lot of songs are two minutes long.
Remember to brush all the surfaces of your teeth: the inside, the outside, and where you chew!
When you finish brushing your teeth spit but do not rinse! It will feel weird at first but that's okay, it will feel less weird the more you do it and it helps your teeth!
If you use mouthwash, do not use it right after you brush your teeth as it will wash away the fluoride on your toothpaste that helps your teeth! Do not eat or drink for thirty minutes after using mouthwash.
Remember! You are not a bad person for struggling to brush your teeth. It's gonna be okay, but making steps to take care of your teeth will help you feel better!
Disclaimer: I am not a dentist! I cannot help you with teeth problems, and if you have any, it is best to ask them. They want to help you!
