Stained glass and Stone (2019-2023)
Evgenii Rachev - The Cat and the Fox
The Holy Trinity has numerous variations of how it's depicted, but one of my favorites is one with roots in 6th-7th century China. This arrangement of rabbits was found on the walls of the Dunhuang Cave, and was a popular motif for a while. With the expansion of the Silk Road, the motif inevitably found popularity throughout the Middle East and the West. This is why you'll find similar iconography on cathedrals all through Europe, like the Paderborn Cathedral in Germany.
All of that to say: I love these rabbits, and thought it was a great subject to practice rendering textures with. A trio of gilded, opalescent rabbits on a wheel of red and green nephrite jade. If you'd like an art print, you can find this and more over on my INPRNT shop (which is currently having a sale)!
Weekend Headshot Commissions
Happy first weekend of October! Because my weekdays are largely eaten up by contract WFH gigs that tend to pay slower than my emergency needs would like, I'm picking up the habit of doing a few spots of weekend sketch commissions like the above samples.
Black and white headshots like these, which means no hands or arms. Just your character (OCs, D&D characters, fanart, or your favorite celebrity) and their cranial accessories. If you're interested, I'll be opening this Google Form on weekends when I'm available to take a few spots at a time since these are usually a pretty quick turn-around (as in I can usually get them done well within a couple of hours, barring any interruptions or delays). More detail below the cut!

I’m replaying Tales of Symphonia, and I love these kids so much. I’ve done almost enough fanart to make a little zine, so consider this a little preview hmm hmm

This book was so much fun to work on, and the first time I got to oversee nearly the entire creative process—from thumbnails to pencils, inks, colors, and lettering. I learned so much on this book, and am so grateful to have had such an amazing team with @firstsecondbooks <3
I’m not the one you want, babe. I’m not the one you need.
