I saw the caption and was so worried for a second
Reblog to have something good happen at 1:42 tomorrow
I am REALLY needing anything good, even if it’s just 5 cents on the floor
Whenever I’m explaining implicit bias to someone I use that scene from the first Men In Black movie where everyone’s going through that “target practice” test and just immediately assumes they’re supposed to be shooting the aliens. But Will Smith’s character hesitates, thinks through what the actual threat is, shoots the little blonde girl, and then gets the job.
it’s great cause when he’s questioned about that decision by his interviewer, he even talks through the process of acknowledging his own implicit bias and then using actual evidence to judge whether that first instinct was correct (”well at first I thought… but then I noticed…”)
This really throws me in a loop…

I would watch this slice of life show.
I love watching the sun leak through the surface of the ocean

This is so funny because there’s a phrase in Middle Egyptian commonly translated as “forever and ever” or “forever and for all eternity”. The Mummy is the best thanks for your attention
Reblogging for that rare case of a female character “Well actually-ing” and being badass while doing so
third base is me asking if you hate me
When you’re in the 1400’s Florence and your buddy starts coughing
I will never not find this funny
Do you ever hear someone say something about your field of interest that is wrong and you have to stop yourself from physically cringing but you gotta stay strong and cool cause you don’t wanna be ‘That NerdTM’?
there is no deep meaning to this, this is when I see people refering to Excalibur as “The Sword in The Stone”
Wait I though the sword in the stone is Excalibur. What is it then?
The Sword in the Stone is Caliburn, and was the way be became king. Excalibur was the sword given to him by the Lady of the Lake after he broke Caliburn fighting King Pellinore.
I have been educated today and I appreciate it
I did not expect everyone else to also like swords this much.
1) Thank you, Kap, for clearing up this misconception.
2) I am always down to be That Nerd™
Honestly I should have known this and I did not know this
Peter Parker, a Gen Z kid, screws up: Fuck, guess I’ll kill myself.
Steve Rogers, an artist during the 30’s and a soldier during WWII who knows full well what Dadaism and fatalistic humor are: There’s bleach under the sink–
Bucky Barnes, the guy who listened to Steve’s art rants in the 30’s, watched his back in WWII and went through 70+ years of shit: –And a rope in the supply closet if you want options.
Rest of the Avengers: ?????!!!!!!!?????
you either say how you feel and fuck it up, or you say nothing and let it fuck you up instead
