The God of The Hunt - Origin

Short break from the adult designs bc Zuko is complicated lol SOKKA! There may have been a hunting god before Sokka, but they've long been forgotten. When wars began to break out across the mortal world, food scarcity became an issue again. People began to pray for bountiful/successful hunts, and with that, a god had to emerge to fill that void. Sokka spent a long time living as a wolf, seamlessly taking his place amongst wolf packs. When gods are young, they spend their first few years almost as a mirage, half-conscious as they appear in crowds, unnoticed by the mortals surrounding them. When he finally gained full-consciousness, he left the wolf pack and explored the woods until he found himself wandering around in the snow. That's where Hakoda and Kya found him. They weren't certain, at first, if he was a god. It wasn't until a year into living with them, when the wolf puppy they took in was still a puppy, that they knew.

It took a few years after that for Sokka to take on a humanoid form to imitate his parents. Having spent a significant amount of time in the wilderness before meeting Hakoda and Kya, Sokka is much more comfortable shifting forms than most other gods.

He becomes a wisdom god in his teens, after running off and spending a significant amount of time exploring cities and towns. He even finds Wan Shi Tong's library, and loses track of time, spending several years scouring the shelves.

SMALL STUFF! His markings are still there, even as a wolf... it's just a lot more subtle. And yeah they're not tattoos. HE HAS FANGS! His teeth changing when he shifts into a humanoid just felt WAY too weird to him, so he consciously keeps sharper teeth. Hakoda is very very weak to Sokka's puppy dog eyes Previous // Next First
