I don’t think gen z will ever fall victim to paperwork scams like fine print that fucks you over. I mean, I think that most of us grew up on that mantra of “ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT!”, so we always read everything we sign for the most part (I am NOT talking about terms and conditions in apps. Fuck that shit) and we like teach it to our dumb friends ( you know who I’m talking about) so they don’t get suckered by cons.

Like if they went to work for someone who wanted to take advantage of them then they’d be like, “ hold on! Let me read this fine print real quick ok? Hellooo~ what’s this here? Can you explain in further detail what thus section outlines?” (cause we teach them articulation)

and the boss would just be like:

Something I noticed about the pjo series is that Percy never really stopped holding up the sky.

In book three, he does end up tricking atlas into taking it back, but he doesn’t actually relieve himself of the burden. When he tells Nico about his sister and chooses to be the child of prophecy, he accepts the weight of his entire world on his shoulders as the hero. Being the person who decides the fate of the world has to be terrifying for someone so young, yet he willingly chooses the prophecy as a way to both punish himself for Bianca’s death and protect Nico.

Percy Jackson is still holding up the sky, and he is still bearing the weight of the world so that the other demigods and immortal beings don’t have to. I look forward to the day that Percy actually gets to live his own life and finally shift that burden to others, but I also know that Percy has to trust someone to give them that weight and if he trusts them he might also want to protect them from the fate like Nico.

After all, his fatal flaw is loyalty.

I may not like my ex but they did give me a way to communicate my affections nonverbally, so I’ll always appreciate them for that.

A while after we started dating, we had a conversation about affirmations and verbal affection. Verbalizing what I’m feeling isn’t easy, but verbalizing love is even harder. I couldn’t say it often and I think that my ex was feeling bad because I never said it aloud.

During that conversation, they brought up a post or something they had learned about which introduced a commonly accepted way to show affection and love.

The way it’s done is by producing three sequential taps, squeezes, etc in a subtle way that your partner can understand.

The way this simple method of communication affected my relationship with my partner is something I’ll never forget. Suddenly I could let my partner know I loved them without having to fight to verbalize it. I could let them know by squeezing their hand or tapping their leg or arm.

I did it every time I saw them or they were nearby. It was something I could do to let them know I cared and loved them without having to say it. (It also stopped us from being ‘that couple’).

I really want to spread this kind of information, especially when it can help socially challenged people like it helped me.

My parents are remodeling the kitchen so they’ve moved all the drawers and every thing in the cabinets into the living room. So everything is in big piles of things. So anyway I had to go to the couch to find a spoon for my yogurt.

Also, the other day couldn’t find a pizza cutter in that mess so I just gave up and used a knife. 10/10 will do again. So much easier.

I want a tv show that follows the points of view and plot of two people who interact with each other in modern times. I want each episode to also cuts to scenes of them in a past life where they interacted with each other and possibly became lovers. I want the very last episode to end with the past versions dying together or not depending on how gut wrenching you want it to be while we get to see the present version live their happily ever afters (together or not).

I want it to be like the show Once Upon A Time in the way it switches so that we can understand both stories as they’re told.

And there should be connecting details like similar situations happening in each of the stories or parroting lines (like if present character A says something that Past Character A had said in a previous scene).

We get to see one story ( love story or not) fail and end in tragedy and we get to see that relationship in a different light while they succeed where their predecessors didn’t.

High af right now and I just had the most random thought. I’ve never ever offered someone a handshake in my entire life.

Like it’s a social thing? People shake hands as the most polite and warm way to greet someone.

But I’ve never done it.

I mean I shake hands when they’re offered to me so I’m not rude but I don’t offer them myself.

And I realized the reason for this was because I’m touch averse and thus I subconsciously look for a non physical interaction to perform in greeting instead, like a wave.

I also realized that this ties into my sensory issues, as the textures of things can weird me out.

Anyways this was just rambling, jumbled thoughts I have when I’m high

Whenever I have a conversation with someone and it goes outside of the acceptable answers list in my head, I feel the need to shake it out or indulge in a stim. It’s almost like I’m shaking out the weird energy of that conversation because my brain struggled to predict its course and I was left confused. I write this now because it happened again today and my brain kind of short circuited and when I walked away after, I had to shake my wrists and hands. I dunno if this happens to everyone or just people with autism or other neurodiversities.

Hate construction on a personal level because while the noise doesn’t bother my half deaf ass, the vibrations can and will give me a headache. I’m literally on the opposite side of the house as well as across a yard from where they’re working and they’re still rattling my damn bed and walls. Ffs

One of the most frustrating things about ADHD is just the way that you absolutely cannot trust future you.

Like, I look at something and think "Oh, I'll deal with that later" like, no I won't. I absolutely won't. I should just do it now while I'm there. I should make plans to do something... Oh wait, will I have the energy to do that??? I was talking with a friend who told me I should come over for tea sometime, which I absolutely would love to do, but I said I was too tired. "Too tired for tea?" she asks. Like, no, I would love tea, but I'm too tired to know that I'll have the energy to get to the place and the only thing I hate worse than not doing things is being flaky on my friends.
