Going through a rewatch of all of the LOTR movies this week and it’s so freeing to know that this does NOT apply to my family.

My father — incredibly conservative, the ‘man’s man’ of the house — walked in and sat down mid-way through the second film and started watching it with me. To my ASTONISHMENT, every time Samwise and Frodo spoke, he would do a voice over (?) of what he thinks their conversations should have been

“Oh Frodo I need you soooo bad” “yes we should absolutely kiss”

It’s incredibly funny but I also cannot hear the genuinely heartfelt expressions of exposition and character growth over his translations of them making kissing noises every time they are on screen together

I’ve gotten a lot of replies and comments along these lines so I want to clarify that this post isn’t made to be infantilizing either Markiplier or Gosling!! Mark had expressed several times before that it makes him uncomfortable to be shipped with real people and actual friends, so this was more about concern regarding odd fans openly pushing bloodymary to be better known without consideration to the actors’ comforts
