A couple of things here:
1) This 100% gives the game away that they do not give a fuck about biology like they pretend and that this entire trans panic is about punishing gender non-conformity. If you believed what makes a woman her inmate biology or whatever the fuck buzzwords they're using today, then how is this response not hypocritical?
2) She's being charged with a felony for putting a wad of gum on a car. $3,000 worth of property damage. We are throwing a woman's life away for $3,000 worth of property damage. It's fucking horrifying.
Yyyyyuuuup. To all my butch friends and/or any GNC gays who think throwing trans folks under the bus won't come right the fuck back to attack us the moment trans folks get driven into the closet:
you fools. No. You might think that oh, okay, I can take these people at their word--and that's frankly a bad idea, that's how they catch so many people and warp them into detransitioners--but you can't do that, because the instant they don't have to rely on tricking you to prevent you from transitioning or if they are afraid you want to transition, they're going to start trying to either coerce or influence you back to normative gender presentation. From there, they're going to try and push you into the closet.
The end goal for bioessentialists and especially "traditional family"-style conservatives is to force everyone into heteronormative and gender-normative roles to the extent that this is possible to do with surgery and coercive social pressures. The more power they get to do that, the more aggressively they will push for this goal.
This is why we are all faggots and dykes and queers together, okay? It's because to them we are all basically the same kind of bad, and they are going to drag us as close to the point of total heterocisgendernormativity as they can get. We have to protect one another if we are going to be allowed to exist as we are. We have to sound the alarm when our intersex friends and transitioned friends alike are being told that their bodies can't exist in the configurations they do. We have to sound the alarm when they try to chase drag queens out of public spaces. We have to sound the alarm when they try to diagnose asexuality as a disorder and prescribe meds accordingly. We have to sound the alarm when they insinuate that gay men and transfem-spectrum folks are going to molest children. We have to sound the alarm when they reduce a woman's value to her appearance and douse butches in disgust.
We all have to listen for those alarms, whether or not we are the immediate focus of them. And when we hear the alarm, we all need to show the fuck up and make the biggest fucking fuss you can imagine. We're the only people we can count on to step up for one another. So we'd better be reliable, because those fuckers march in lockstep no matter what we're trying to do or why.
Stand together, or hang alone. It truly is that simple. And run any TERF or radfem you see into the sea, because they have already sold their souls to precisely the kinds of monsters who are going to eat them the moment they get into power.

Yeah that’s. Odd. Also sounds kind of annoying. Like, I have my own odd Internet rituals but I don’t inflict them on y’all.
Even before the show came out if you were like “it’d be neat if she was a lesbian, because kids shows are allowed to do that now” you got dogpiled by people yelling at you that lesbians have everything and there’s no representation for straight women into sports. It was so goofy.
"Masculinity is rewarded" have you ever spoken to a transmasc or a butch or a tomboy or any masculine woman/person perceived as a woman. Have you ever spoken to a gnc transfem.
This was already a problem when we were talking about cis butches! You’d have otherwise feminist and leftist publications saying that cis butches have it easy, that cis butches are over represented in lesbian space (lolgodIwish) etc, the transmasc discourse never stood a chance.
Reminder that you don't have to call yourself AMAB or AFAB. You don't have to say "I'm AFAB nonbinary." Saying "I'm nonbinary" is enough. You don't need to identify with what you were assigned as by some doctor however many years ago. Mentioning your ASAB is scarcely relevant to most conversations, even those about medical transitioning.
Nonbinary is enough, you don't have to supplement it with a binary system of any kind. It doesn't matter how many people want to know your "transition direction." It doesn't matter how many people want to know what your genitals are (which wouldn't be alluded to by your assigned sex anyway). It doesn't matter how many people want to binarise you. It doesn't matter how many binary people you confuse. No one needs to binarise you. Nonbinary. Is. Enough.
I find agab so weird because it is OBVIOUSLY not a good term to use in most cases but no one is willing to coin something else to replace it in discussions. Like sure yeah afab and amab work SOMETIMES, but what about people who do not claim those labels for themselves? It's just not practical and too binary-focused. Your advocacy should include everyone, and agab not only does not do that, it draws attention back to a gender the person might not entirely want to be associated with. It focuses on what the person was, not what the person is.
You guys get it? Is what I'm saying understandable?
