DMing tip: Have NPCs with strong opinions about the PCs, but not always the same opinion. If nobody cares about the PCs then the PCs are less likely to care about the other characters. If everyone hates the PCs or everyone loves the PCs it gets monotonous. Good this to distribute:

Fanboy of a specific PC

Someone who hates the PCs

Someone who feels indebted to the PCs

Someone in love with a PC

Someone obnoxiously patronizing to the PCs

Someone who will badmouth one PC to another PC

Someone trying to profit off the PCs

Someone who thinks the PCs are obnoxious
