anyone got a copy of the hardcover version of You Look Like Death who would be willing to share the "Letters to Athena" short story at the end? 🙏 even just photos of the pages would be great

A little danirahne i drew a while back :3
They're such cuties i love them sm ough
16 And 17 :)
16: you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
hmm let me choose xmen fandom for this. gail simone’s uncanny xmen series is really popular right now and i don’t understand why 😭 i haven’t read a ton of it but what i have read is not very good. i like that her rogue & gambit are really flirty and horny with each other but i don’t like that they keep talking about maybe adopting the 4 teens they’re mentoring right now. that’s weird. you guys don’t need 4 teenage children especially not when two of them are currently dating each other
17: there should be more of this type of fic/art
i love when an xmen fic is set in the time when the story was published and when it took place originally, ie a new mutants fic set in the 80s bc that’s when the comics were coming out and that’s when the stories were supposed to be taking place. i think that’s fun! and i like when fanart depicts characters in fashions specific to their decade/era. like storm in 70s and 80s inspired fits. it’s just so cute and fun

Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat/Ariel/Sprite) & Emma Frost
we talk a lot about dc fans who don't read comics but what about the dc fans who only read comics. like i think some of u should put down locg & pick up a book actually the situation is getting dire
Batman #567
You ever think about how even though Bruce & Cass obviously identify with each other so much, technically the first person Cass likened herself to was Babs. She points to Babs and then herself to show they are both daughters - already, even before Cass knows about Batgirl or Babs' past, she was forming herself in Babs' legacy...
the thing about the spiderverse movies is that they are good. and i could say a lot about the entertainment industry and the working conditions of animators but also. those movies are really good. and i could complain about spiderman comics and the often frustrating ubiquity they have but those movies are really good. and everything interesting to say about spiderverse has already been said a million times to the point of nausea but. they’re actually really good

He's such a dick; I love him so much.
Hellions (2020) #12
breaks my heart that every issue of inglorious x force has tabby with her short hair and then the interior art has her with long hair
tragedy enjoyers when a character upholds the system that they themselves were a victim of
stop giving him blue eyes you’re hurting him
an excerpt from Stephanie Brown Saved Me that really stood out to me. Not exactly sure how true this is because the author didn’t provide many direct sources, but thinking about this is for too long is especially nauseating considering that many writers and authors working for DC at the time (before the mass firings of established writers/illustrators/editors took place to make way for the New 52) were vehemently against Stephanie’s characterization and treatment in War Drums/War Games (or at the very least wanted absolutely nothing to do with her torture/death scenes in War Games, Dylan Horrocks most notably). like truly there were so many people that wanted to keep Stephanie alive in SOME way, with the most common reason being that her character in itself was a walking lesson that fighting may not end with you winning, but it’ll ALWAYS bring hope for something brighter. Chuck Dixon himself was usually the first person to bring up her “dogged determination” and extremely endearing personality when interviewed about his experience writing her. and yet
"He wouldn't say that" has a beautiful cousin, and her name is "That's Not What This Story is About".
Many thoughts…..
