The problem with being low support needs is that people mentally autocorrect that to “no support needs” and then proceed to give you absolutely nothing and then get surprised when you implode after six months.
ugh life sucks right now so I gotta read about 2 guys touching each other inappropriately
This is what the average YouTube thumbnail looks like now

i really need people to be so fucking careful in and around discussions of literacy because stuff like "this culture didn't develop a written language ergo they are mentally inferior to us" and "people with this disability are unable to read ergo they are mentally inferior to us" have been eugenicist talking points for a very long time
ok, i dont mean to be mean, but this is sort of the thing i am talking about
the mental process that makes a human being capable of reading is a deceptively complex process with a lot of steps in it that can go wrong. yes, a substantial amount of illiterate people in the united states were not taught to read properly, but a not insignificant portion are people with disabilities that make it literally, physically impossible for them to learn how to read- in the same way that it is literally impossible for some people to learn how to do things like speak, put on clothes, tie their shoes, etc. this isnt about "oh blind people can just learn to read braille", this about people with dyslexia and other learning/intellectual disabilities that fundamentally disrupt the neural pathways that make reading possible. any conversation around literacy that does not account for this population is fundamentally missing something and any conversation around how reading "boosts your cognition" or things along those lines is implying people who cannot are inferior to you.
what companies who sell you anti aging stuff don't want you to know is that if you're chill about aging, your perception of attractiveness changes as you get older. there is no "wall" where you suddenly become ugly and unfuckable because in my experience what actually happens is you get into your thirties and suddenly realize that people in their thirties are hot as fuck and the "flaws" that the beauty industry wants you to panic about are a feature not a bug, and based on the std statistics in nursing homes I don't really expect that trajectory to change.
wasting away again in tumblrinaville...
im balls deep in your blog right now and im not pulling out
Best podcast dynamic is two women. Second best is a woman by herself. Third is a gay guy and a woman. And of course straight men should be barred from purchasing recording equipment or gathering in groups larger than two without a supervisor present
