the more adults you interact with in social or professional settings as a young person, the more examples you will have of healthy peer relationships that are based on commonalities besides age.
also, when you have a good idea of what a healthy, cross-generational friendship looks like, it’s much easier to spot a predatory one, and the more adult friends you have, the more people you’ll have to turn to for help and advice if someone of any age is acting in a predatory, abusive, or ignorant manner.
people who are targeting younger areas of fandom to push the idea that adults are inherently untrustworthy are, themselves, attempting to isolate young people from potential sources of help and support.
please be mindful of this in your interactions with people of all ages.

Ok look, your preferences are 1 million percent valid, and it’s fine to feel this way, and the following isn’t really directed at you personally, so if you need to stop at “you’re valid” please do so, but also, how the fuck do you actually not interact with minors?
Granted, the pandemic has severely restricted all my human interaction with everyone regardless of age, but looking back on the ~before times, I routinely encountered and interacted with people younger than the age of 18 all the fucking time, like, daily. And when I was under 18, I routinely encountered people older than myself everywhere also.
Where I live, kids can obtain a license to operate a motor vehicle unsupervised at the age of 16, and while that should inspire buttpuckering terror in anyone reading this, you should also understand that every single bonkers teenager who can get a driver’s license and get their hands on the wheel of a car does so immediately. They’re all out there! driving around! Doing all kinds of shit that you have to drive around to do!
People can get jobs here at 15, and some even have special adjusted school schedules that allow them to work during school hours, because we’re all poor as fuck, and a one-income household is basically unheard of. Off the top of my head, here’s a random sampling of jobs/industries that people can work in during high school: grocery, lifeguard, retail retail retail, cashier, restaurant work, babysitting, childcare, lawn care/landscaping, library work . . . I could go on, but with 2 exceptions, any of the jobs I have worked as an adult are jobs that I could also have started at the age of 16. All of this also means that people under the age of 18 are also allowed to have money and spend it, so in addition to working at jobs, all those young people are also out shopping and getting takeout and grabbing groceries and all the other normal shit we do as participants in a decaying capitalist state. If I listed every thing that minors can legitimately do in public, I would be here for the rest of my life, but the point is:
MINORS EXIST AS REAL BREATHING PEOPLE OUT IN PUBLIC WITH EVERYONE ELSE. If you ever leave your home (a special occasion these days, I know) you are bound to run into some of them at some point.
I understand that we all curate our online and fandom experiences differently, and that’s fantastic: there are for dead sure some online spaces that are not not not ok for minors to be in, and there’s real value in letting young people have and manage their own spaces online to just be young in.
But this whole thing where we act like adults and minors should never interact for fear of sketchy predatory shenanigans is just horseshit from beginning to end. Adults and minors do interact. every day. because reality exists.
Our job as human beings, regardless of age, is to do our best to make sure that those interactions are healthy, comfortable, and safe at every opportunity. So I will reiterate my point from the original post:

and then add that people who are doing this are also trying to isolate young people from, you know, the actual fucking reality of corporeal existence as a human being, and that’s just. One of the most enormous and fundamental red flags that has ever been waved.

Apologies to OP, because this is a whole ass mess and I’m going on a tangent.
Disclaimer: due to my super weird proportions, I never had much success using hip throws, and they weren’t particularly effective throws to use against me, either, so I literally had to look up sode-tsurikomi-goshi because I can’t say that I’ve ever used it, seen it, or been thrown buy it, no lie. I’m not a black belt, and my judo days are a long time behind me. moving on.
I think the core of what’s so weird about this whole thing is the uke (for my fandom readers: that’s the name for the person getting tossed in a judo throw, no I’m not making that up). Like, he’s going for a left handed lapel grip (weird) while leading with his right foot (double weird.) No idea what this poor a-hole thought he was trying to do, but it’s so strange that the resulting throw is an almost entirely improvised sliding combination of like. at least three things.
So the first thing that happens is that the guy in blue just immediately rejects that grip (good move!) He, himself, then has a hard time deciding what grip to answer with: he flashes through several, involving both hands and an elbow hook at various points, but he manages to never lose control of that flailing arm, which is good.
So then we’re on to the feet: he opens by hooking the uke’s right leg in something I’m gonna call osoto-gake esque, but not really, because while he’s going for it, the grip he still has on the arm has spun this fool uke all the way around so his ankles are crossed. So that’s like. There’s no formally named throw that I’m aware of where you set your opponent up by corkscrewing them around so their ankles are crossed! So osoto gake, while an inspired and not entirely meritless idea, just kind of evaporates.
At that point, he’s got the guys arm like he’s doing a . . . left seoi . . . from the back (not a real thing), but the guys is neither fully in hip throw nor shoulder throw alignment (due to the crossed legs and the cross arm grip) but he is also almost entirely off the ground??? So our brave and resourceful Tori is just like, “fuck it, I reject your labels and I am here to win with a full point, I will just make this man land on his back any way I like and chase it with a little bit of a leg lift and follow him all the way down to the mat for good measure.”
tl;dr, this is a flawless execution of a series of entirely improvised techniques applied to a situation that has no business existing to begin with, so it comes across looking both brilliant and utterly batshit. I hope this man is having a good day and that he never ceases to have satisfying outlets for his creativity. I also hope the uke got some ice for this burn, because Jesus.

Like, extremely. Incest porn is one of the top porn searches. People are fascinated with exploring taboo topics in fiction, but that doesn’t mean they’re okay with it in reality. There’s pop article – warning for an image of a man bloodied from scratches in that – upon pop article about what forms of revisiting trauma are healthy or not. This is not new stuff. It’s SWERF-coded rhetoric. BDSM was taken out of the DSM for a reason. Trauma play is not automatically retraumatising.

What the self-appointed defenders of ~cinema, in particular, really don’t seem to be grasping is that “movies about big scary men making bad choices about organized crime and relationships” ARE JUST ANOTHER GENRE WITHIN THE LARGER MEDIUM OF FILM. They don’t own the property called cinema in which all other genres are renters. It’s all the same goddamned building.
P.S. the film industry has been churning out “amusement parks” since it could officially be called an industry, that’s what the word industry means. I’m not thrilled about what it’s done to storytelling in film, but no particular genre is any more immune to industry trends and demands than any other.
