“Oh Mother Pure Heart protect us!”
This is a line said by one of the sweetie-pies in Bao Bao’s Revenge:
I didn’t pay attention to this line the first time round, but once I heard it upon a re-watch I was like: “…who?” MOTHER Pure Heart? She means the RUBY Pure Heart…right?
Why’d she call it “Mother”?
Well, just as many people do after “Zing Your Heart Out”, I believe that there is some sort of being inside the Pure Heart. Again, many people have already guessed this, but I’ve seen NO ONE refer back to that line in Bao Bao’s Revenge when assuming this. Look at these faces:
Don’t they look similar? I think THAT has a name-and it’s Mother Pure Heart!
So here’s my theory:
Mother Pure Heart is a magical being who either is a manifestation of the Ruby Pure Heart’s consciousness or just lives inside it. She used to not only protect Pure Heart Valley from monsters, but also grant wishes without mind-controlling or corrupting people (we know she must have always been able to grant wishes because Orangusnake already knew to wish upon the Ruby Pure Heart in “Orangusnake Begins”) However, once Orangusnake shot his giant laser tube at it-
-the Ruby Pure Heart no longer felt like a home to her, the laser’s negative energy surged through the Pure Heart, and eventually corrupted her along with it. She now longs to rule over Pure Heart Valley (which is why she encouraged Adorabat to do so).
This desire comes from not only the laser corrupting her, but that chip in the Ruby Pure Heart exposing a little part of the outside world to her…and now she wants it all.
I can’t wait for season 2 to prove me completely and utterly wrong! (lol)
(also, if this theory looks familiar to you, that’s because my original version of this theory stopped showing up in Tumblr search results for some reason, so consider this a remake)
