warnings: self harm mentions/ depression/ loss; death/ age gap (early 20s reader; late 40s shanks) shanks is a bit ooc but who cares
It started two years before you met Shanks. Your father, died from a sickness no doctor in your village could fix. Next, 3 months later, your mother. Died from grief, thats what everyone told you. But, you knew the real reason though. Youâd seen the empty pill bottle on the floor.
In the time youâd lost your parents youâd got low. Really low. But youâd had your two friends to help you through it. UntilâŠ
Tuesday, October 10th (two months after motherâs passing)
Weather: started off sunny but turned grey as the day went on, thunder started at 2pm. Mood: pretty neutral, improved when the storm started, due to favourite weather.
People told you to start writing things down as a way of coping, instead of bottling everything up. It worked, somewhat, but you preferred it over actually talking to people.
Youâd just left your house, heading into the village to meet your friends when you spotted a ship in the docs. You hadnât noticed it before and you noticed everything so you deduced that it had only gotten there this morning.
5 minutes and 23 seconds later you stood outside the coffee shop where you would be meeting your friends. Youâd just sat down at a table outside when your friends showed up.
âThere she is!â you look up from your tea, spotting your friends walking towards you. They each sat down on your sides. You slid their drinks to each of them, looking back down at your own. âDid you see those two ships down in the dock?â
Two? You only saw one when youâd left this morning. You turned to look. Your friend was indeed correct, a new ship had docked in the harbour. Now that you were closer you could know see that each boat was flying a Jolly Rodger, each with a different design however.
âHey, those ships, theyâre piratesâ Your friends look over, you see in their eyes the moment they realise. âOh, shit, yeah youâre rightâŠmaybe they donât want trouble and are just here for like food and stuff.â
You nod âHopefullyâ
Later, the three of you walked down to the bay, curiosity getting the better. A few others had come down to see what was happening. You spotted the mayor in the crowd and you walked over.
âHello sir.â He looked up at you and you waved slightly. He adjusted his glasses, squinting before recognising you. âAh! Hello!â
You both looked over to the pier as some people walked down the gangway of the newer boat. This one had three scratches over the right eye socket.
You watched a red-haired man, a man with long but grey hair and a larger man walk down the pier. However, before they made it far a group of three from the other pirate crew met them, forming a sort of western-style face off.
You watched them converse for a minute before the tension increased. You noticed a few others on both ships start to appear, weapons in hand. Turning to the mayor, you tried to usher him away. âSir, I think you should leave.â You got one of the townâs people to take the mayor away before turning back to the pirates just as the first shot was fired.
Then all hell broke loose
Guns were shooting left and right, swords clashed and cannons fired. Dust filled the air as you tried to look for your friends. You ran around calling for them when you collided with something hard, causing a grunt from it. You looked up, meeting the confused gaze of the red haired pirate from earlier. âYouâre not a pirate?â
Everything seemed to stop as you both held each otherâs gaze. The moment quickly ended when someone started shooting at you two. An arm came around your waist as the pirate started to shoot back. You gripped his shirt, hiding yourself from harm. You realised his shirt was open towards the top and your face was up against his bare chest. The realisation made your cheeks heat up.
The fighting continued for another minute or two before silence fell and the dust settled. You looked away from the manâs chest, looking at the bodies on the floor. A lot of the civilians that were down at the harbour had been caught in the crossfire.
You staggered away from the man, calling for your friends. You walked around, not realising the man was following. The sight of two bodies lying on the ground halted you. You stared, not believing until some wind blew your friendâs hair from her face.
Your heart broke. Into a million pieces like it had when your father died and like it had when your mother died. Your knees gave out but you didnât collapse, instead being held in the arms of the pirate youâd used as protection. You screamed their names, tears falling as the man pulled you away.
The sun woke you from your dream, a reoccurring one of the day youâd met Shanks, of the day youâd finally given up of life. You sat up, an itching in your arm. You scratched at it before opening the bedside drawer, pulling out the lighter Shanks had given you as a gift.
You stood out on the shipâs deck once the sun had risen a little more. You lent on the railings, looking out at the infinite, deep blue sea.
From the outside, most wouldnât be able to tell you were depressed. Most would just say you were aloof. Unless the person was depressed themselves then they might know. At first you thought it would get better but in reality, your body and mind had just given up.
At least, thats what Hongo had told you. And you decided to trust his judgement, him being a doctor and all. You scratched at the bandage on your arm, the skin raw and burnt beneath. You heard some commotion and quickly regained your composure.
That was how most days went. Start the morning off with a lighter or blade to try and prove you werenât emotionless and that you hadnât given up. Denial is a river in Egypt. Then youâd go about your day, fulfilling your duties as the shipâs logger: writing down notable events of the day, any maintenance done on the ship and where the ship went. Some would find it boring but you rather liked the simplicity of it.
On some bad days youâd head to your room around noon and try to convince yourself. It never worked as well as youâd liked. Today seemed to be one of those days, exactly a a year and 7 months since the incident.
You sat the table in your room, looking at the knife youâd taken from the kitchen. It gleamed in the light, the sharp edge calling your name. The knife felt heavy in your hand, the wooden handle clearly meant for someone with larger hands than you.
You placed your other hand down on the table, palm down, before dragging the knife point along it, taking your time over the veins that bulged from your skin.
Youâd just drawn the first bit of blood when a hand grabbed your wrist, pulling you from the seat. Your head turned to see Shanks stood next to you, absolute panic on his face. âWhatâre you doing?! Youâre gonna hurt yourself!â
You looked blankly at Shanks then to the knife still in your hand. You released your grip, watching it fall to the ground. âHey! answer me!â.
âI was trying to hurt myselfâ He looked confused, trying to meet your gaze. âWhat?â He placed his hand on your neck, turning your face to him. âExplainâ
âI-âŠIt started a week after you took me with you. I felt numb because of everything that had happened. I accidentally cut my finger when I was in the Kitchen and I realised how good it felt. To actually feel something. Pain is my only way to feel like a normal person.â Shanksâ eyebrows furrowed. âIt sounds dumb to you, I know but-â
The an idea crossed his mind, you saw it in the way his eyes seemed to gleam. You were cut off by him pulling you closer and leaning down to your neck, biting into it. You let out a gasp from shock and pain that turned into a moan. You put your hand in his hair, gripping the red locs. He bit down hard enough to draw blood, pulling back to watch it drip down your neck before licking it all.
âS-Shit. Fuckinâ warn me next timeâ You panted heavily, touching the bite on your neck. You looked at the blood on your fingers then to Shanks. âIt wouldnât feel as good if you knew it was coming, thoughâ Heâs got a shit-eating grin on his face, because he managed to make you moan. He returns to your neck, licking at the wound.
He was right, it did feel good. You felt it. And it was so much better than what you were doing before. His teeth suddenly dug into your skin again, making you yelp. âYou taste so goodâ The low hum of his voice right beside your ear made your breath hitch. âIâm sure you taste even better in other places too hmm?â Your face burned and you pushed him back, turning your head.
âYeah, yeah. Whatever. Get out and go do some captainy stuffâ He chuckled.
Shanks and some others where gone for the day, getting supplies in a town youâd docked in. You had just finished writing it down into the logbook when you looked up and saw another ship coming into the harbour. You froze and the pen fell from your hand. Your heart started beating rapidly.
This is what happened before. You looked and saw civilians down on the docs, just like before except you were in a different position now.
You stood, legs shaking as you made your way to your room. There was a high pitched ringing in your ears that mixed with the sounds of shouting and gunshots.
You collapsed at the foot of your bed, covering your ears with your hands, digging your nails into your scalp. Your breathing increased to the point that you were hardly breathing at all.
Shanks made his way up the gangway as the boxes of materials were placed on deck. He looked around but couldnât see you anywhere. As he was walking he accidentally stood on something. He looked down and saw your logbook dropped on the floor. He picked it up. It was strange, you valued this book more than your life and anything or anyone on the ship, even himself, as youâd told him one day.
He made his way to your room with the intent of giving you the book back but froze in the doorway when he saw you on the floor. He rushed over, throwing the book onto the bed before falling to his knees, his hand hovering over you.
âHey, hey.â He sounded as panicked as he felt. He brought his hand to your shoulder but when he touched you, you flinched. âHey, breathe. I need you to breathe yeah? Can you hear me?â
He noticed blood on your scalp and saw your nails digging in. He tried to take your hand away but you flinched again, letting out a sound.
By this point your breathing was practically nonexistent and he was getting desperate. Shanks looked at your teary eyes before activating his haki.
âBreathe, please, I need you to breathe.â
You suddenly gasped, air filling your lungs. You coughed.
âMove your hands away from your head.â And you did. your hands fell limply at your sides. You sat there, breathing heavily, mind completely blank. Shanks checked your head, making sure your nails didnât do too much damage. He realised you had gone uncharacteristically quiet and looked down at you.
And oh, what a sight you were.
Flushed skin, watery eyes, slightly open mouth. He recognised the way you were looking at him, he still had his haki on you. A dreadful, awful, deceiving thought crossed his mind. You still had the mark on your neck from where he had bit you.
You wouldnât push away this time, he could help you. Instead of you having to cut yourself, he could help.
He tried so desperately to justify it in his mind, to make it seem like a good deed but the corruption and animal instincts started to cloud his vision. Here you were. So naive, so susceptible, so powerless to his advances.
He stroked your cheek and you lent into his hand. He swore quietly before pulling your face to his and connecting your lips. His eyebrows twinged when he couldnât feel you kiss his back so he pulled away. âKiss me. Please, kiss meâ
His heart ached and his eyes looked sad as he kissed you again, this time, you returned it. His hand moved down to your throat, brushing his thumb over where your adamâs apple would be if you were a man. You shivered and he felt it in the kiss. He tried to pull away but you chased him, pushing him onto his back as his hands gripped your shoulders.
You sucked on his tongue and watched his eyes roll back. He felt suffocated, like you were trying to consume him. Eventually, he managed to push you off with a âStop!â
You fell backwards, hitting your head on the floor with a loud thump. He froze at the sound for a second before rushing over, holding you up. âIâm sorry, Iâm sorry, Iâm so sorry. I shouldnât have done that. Iâm sorry, are you okay? Is your head alright?â
He stroked his hands through your hair, feeling the back of your head. Your forehead fell onto his shoulder and he just held you for a moment.
ââŠLove?â His voice was scared, scared that he had actually hurt you. âShanksâŠâ
Relief flooded him as he heard your albeit weak voice. âShanksâŠwhat dâyou do?â He kept a hold of your head as he pulled you away to look at him. âYou were hurting yourself. I just wanted you to stop.â His voice cracked at the end.
âShanksâ You said his name again, like it was all you knew. âit hurtsâ He gripped your hair tighter put released it. âWhat does? Tell me, Love. Is it your head? Iâm so sorry about that. I didnât mean to. Iâm sorryâ
âEverywhere. Please. It hurts but i feel so empty.â You collapsed back onto his shoulder, holding your arms. He noticed you dig your fingers into the flesh and he pulled your hands away, holding them together in his lap. âDonât do that, It wonât help.â
âThen do something. Help me Shanks. Pleaseâ Your pitch got higher as you begged and he thought back to earlier. The bite seemed to stop your harming and he could control how much of it you got.
He tilted his neck down, brushing your hair out of the way as his mouth got closer to your skin. His breath was hot and it made you shiver, goosebumps littering your skin. When he finally bit down you flinched but then you felt the pain going, replaced with pleasure and a sting.
About Sirens of the Sea, is it the first part of a long story ? Also comments are off for the post.

The wind howled outside as the storm tore through your village. It had been non-stop for the past two days. Your Mother had claimed it was God seeking vengeance on humanity; your Father had told her to shut up.
You werenât listening to either of them, your mind was focused on the window, you were convinced youâd seen a figure outside but it seemed impossible.
âWhat are you on about?â your mother had said âno one could possibly be outside right now, they be swept away!â. You had nodded and gone back to looking out of the window.
âBu-â You were interrupted by an impossible soundâŠ
Knock
Knock
Knock
Your fatherâs head shot round, staring at the door, almost willing the knock to sound again.
You looked to your mother, originally to make a comment about you being right but the look on her face shut you up.
ââŠShould we open it?â
âOf course not child! We donât need the storm getting in here!â
âBut thereâs someone out there! You heard the knocks!â
You looked at your father desperately. He nodded, edging towards the door. You followed, slotting yourself at his side. He put a hand on your arm as he reached for the door.
Time seemed to pass in slow motion as he opened the door. The figure behind it was the one youâd seen, you were sure. It was an old woman, a hunched looking hag, like the Evil Queen from a childhood story your father used to read to you. She took a step and you shrunk into your fatherâs side.
âWho are you?! What are you doing out there!?â He was practically shouting so she could hear over the storm.
She took another step and was now over the threshold of your home. Like magic, the storm was silenced. The door swung closed as the hag stood in the centre of the room. She spoke and her voice sounded like sheâd been smoking since the womb.
âIâve come for herâ
Your father stood in front of her âWho?â
âThe childâ She pointed a gnarled finger at you.
âWhat do you want with my child?â
Your mother had stayed silent, not speaking since the woman came in.
ââŠShe never told you? Interesting. Iâve come for the child I gave to you. 15 years ago, your wife could not bear children so she asked me for a child, to spend 15 years with one until it became an adult of its own. Your 15 years is up, Iâve come for the childâ
Your ears started to ring as her words seeped into your mind. Your motherâs lack of argument was all the conformation you needed. A witchâs child? Impossible. you looked to your father who was looking to your mother.
âIâm sorry, I didnât know how to tell you! You were so happy with a child, i couldnât bear to tell you she wasnât even yours!â Fat globs of water rolled down your motherâs cheeks as she pleaded âI would have told you eventually, I just needed more time!â
Your father looked between The Hag and your mother.
âNever mind that now, i donât care where she cane from, you arenât taking my daughter from me! I love her!â
The Hag cocked her head âOh?â She pointed her finger again, tension filling the room as an energy seemed to emit from her. âWell in that case, no one shall have herâ
A blinding light shot from her finger, shooting you in the chest. You dropped to the floor, screaming. A horrible pain filled your body as your limbs contorted and snapped, your neck slicing open to create gills. Your fingers stuck together and when you opened your hand you found them webbed. your clothes tore as your legs fused together, turquoise scales rupturing from your skin, covering your now tail and up your torso and across your chest. Fins grew from your back and more silky flesh appeared at the end of your tail. Your teeth and nails grew, sharp enough you rip flesh. You looked up to your father with foggy eyes. Your mother screamed as your father crouched to you, holding your face.
âIâd hurry and get her to water or she wonât be able to breathe for much longerâ As The Hag said it your throat tightened. You struggled for air as your father picked you up, rushing from the house and into the storm.
He ran to the beach, wading into the tide and placing you down. Water filled your lungs and you gasped as the pressure in your head released.
You looked up to your father and he looked down at you. You held his hand. He squeezed it, a smile on his face that was suddenly replaced by a look of slight shock.
Your father fell to his knees, a red stain spreading on his shirt. âNo! Father!â You reached up to his face. He leaned forwards slightly. âMy childâŠâ blood started to drip from his mouth and his breathing became shallow. ââŠI loveâŠy-youâ
His body went limp, falling onto your shoulder and into the water. Behind him, on the beach stood The Hag, finger pointed. You stared at her, teeth beared. You watched her mouth move, the words inaudible before she disappeared, the storm taking her away just as it brought her.

Present
The Red Force cruised through the water, grey storm clouds starting to form in the distance. Thunder rumbled in the distance as Snake called across the deck âLooks like a storms headinâ our way!â
Shanks appeared beside him, looking at the map in Snakeâs hands then to the storm ahead. âCould we go around?â Snake shook his head âWell then! Straight ahead, through the storm. If we canât go around it, might as well go through it, thats what I say!â
Lucky Roux snickered âUse that analogy for anything else?â The crew erupted with laughter as they entered the storm zone.
Beckman straightened âBe quietâ The others slowly stopped laughing. âWhat is it?â The captain approached. âI can hear singingâ His first mate replied.
Everything was silent now, save for the clouds above them. In the quiet they could just make out the sound of a voice harmonising with the crashing wavesâ

Then the singing began.

The crew leaned over the side of the railing, spotting you on a rock down in the water. your back was to them as you kept singing.
âWhat should we do captain?â Shanks pondered before answering. âIâm going down thereâ
The crew tried to dissuade him but alas, he went anyway, climbing the rungs down to the rocks. He jumped down, making his way over. You were sat right on the edge, your tail in the water. He saw the scaled limb as he got closer.
âWould you look at that, a mermaidâ
Your song started to come to an end and you turned your head to him, your blank eyes meeting his brown ones. He knelt down, reaching a hand out. You brought yours to his, placing it palm to palm. He noticed the webbed fingers and he paused. Mermaids donât have webbed appendages, and definitely not clear eyes, they were known for their beautiful eyes. That meantâŠ
Before he could get up you grinned, bearing your sharp teeth then, you pulled him into the water. He thrashed and you dragged him further down, the water started to become darker as the light struggled to reach the deepness. You held onto him tightly, stabbing your nails into his sternum, biting into his shoulder. He jerked, bubbles floating up from his mouth. You sucked on the blood appearing from his shoulder, licking the wound.
He grabbed at your face with his hand, forcing your face to look at his. The blood from his shoulder covered your lips and floated through your teeth. Your smile twitched, your eyes getting lost in his. Your smile fully dropped and you blinked a few times.
You dug your nails into him to keep yourself conscious but your mind still stopped, put the rest just from the manâs eyes.
ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč
You awoke with something hard against your back. you opened your eyes and saw that you were in a bathtub, the white ceramic caging you. Your head broke the water and you looked around. A dark room, a bedroom, with a bathtub in it, clearly it was only put there for you.
âAwake i seeâ
Your eyes search for the source of sound in the darkness, meeting the red-haired pirateâs shining pupils. He sat across the room, on a chair facing you. The storm still thundered outside as waves crashed up against the ship. The occasional lightning strike would illuminate the room, giving you a better view of him. You noted his open shirt with one sleeve tied near the top.
âNot a talkative one are you?â
You shrunk back into the water, stopping just before it reached your eyes. ââŠI donât talk to humansâ Your gaze stayed focused, guard on high alert.
âBut you sing to them though? Now, I gotta ask, were you singing to any of us specifically or were you hoping I came down to you?â You stayed silent, looking away. He laughed, a big hearty laugh. âIâm just kidding, and thats not actually why Iâm here.â He waited for you to ask why he was there.
ââŠâ
âWell since you asked, Iâm the one whoâs gonna be guarding you, making sure you donât bite anyone elseâs shoulders offâ He gave you a look, smile disappearing. ââŠSorryâ You mumbled into the water.
Another crash of thunder followed by a flash of light came from outside. You flinched, dipping your head fully under the water. He studied your actions, looking between the tub and the window. Shanks got up, walking to the window and closing the curtain. It didnât really help with the noise but it slightly muffled it and the lightning was gone.
He slowly made his way across the room to you, tapping the porcelain lightly. You poked your head up, eyes meeting his. âIs that better?â You look over to the window, noting the curtain. You nodded slightly.
He walked back over to his chair, sitting down and manspreading. You locked eyes again, a staring contest began. You looked away, down at his feet, your face warm.
âWhy were you out there? Weâre miles from any island and you couldnâtâve been born there. Sirens arenât natural so you mustâve swam.â His face showed no anger, just a longing to understand.
ââŠLots of ships pass through here,âŠlots of peopleâ He hummed âNot to talk to though, to eat, right? Iâve heard stories of sailors going missing out here, even whole ships. Guess they werenât as lucky as me.â
âI-â You began but were interrupted by someone at the door. âCome in.â Shanks called to the person, still looking at you. Beckman opened the door. âThe others need you on deckâ âCanâtâ âW..Well itâs an emergencyâ âGotta look after the princess donât I?â He never broke eye contact as he was talking, keeping his keen gaze on you
You blushed at the name.
âWell, I can keep an eye on her whilst you go deal with the situationâ Beckman offered âWould that be okay with you?â You looked over at the new man then back to the red haired. You nodded. Shanks stood, walking to the door.
âTake good care of herâ He chuckled as he walked out.
You submerged yourself into the water, closing your eyes.
ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč ïč
When you opened your eyes again you saw light above the water. You sat up, stretching your tail out of the tub and looking around. It was day now, youâd fallen asleep the night before. You looked down at the water; it felt gross, it wasnât saltwater so it needed to be changed. You looked for The Red Haired Pirate, spotting him on the bed, asleep. It felt awkward, him with his guard down and you watching him.
ââŠHello?â He shifted, opening his eyes and sitting up. He was shirtless, his left arm stopping just below the shoulder. The bite youâd left was there, still slightly red. He looked over at you and smiled. âMorning princessâ
You bristled âI need new water, this isnât salt, it needs to be changedâ He looked at the white bathtub âYeah, I guess soâ He stood, walking over, stopping next to you. He looked over at your tail, the thin, translucent fins abstracting the light, giving it a turquoise tint. âYour tail is beautifulâ You blushed âI said I need new waterâ He chuckled. âI heard you the first time princessâ
He reached into the water, his hand on your back âHey! Whatâre you doing?â He lifted you, holding you against his chest as you grabbed into his shoulders so you wouldnât fall. âTaking you out whilst I get someone to change the waterâ He walked out of the room, spotting Beckman down the corridor.
âBenn! Câmere!â Benn walked over to you two. âNeed you to change the water in the bathtub or put saltwater inâ
He nodded, looking to you. âWhereâre you going in the meantime?â
Shanks pondered âHow long till we get to the next island?â
âAbout 5 minutesâ
âPerfectâ
Shanks continued down the corridor, getting up to the deck. You shrunk into his bare shoulder, the sun blinding. He chuckled.
âI have a questionâ You mumbled into his shoulder as he walked to the Bow. âWhat is it?â He grabbed a barrel, putting you on it.
The sun warmed your skin, drying your body of the water, giving it a golden glow. You looked out: the ocean was much calmer now, the serene blue surrounding everything. In the distance you saw an island, you could make out a few palm trees on the shore. A gentle breeze picked up, swaying your hair.
Shanks studied you, your hair, face, eyes, scales that led to your tail and those fins, still shining turquoise and he realised something. You were the most beautiful thing heâd ever seen.
âWhatâs your name? You brought me onto your ship, watched over me and I donât know your name.â He continued to study you, the silence growing longer until you looked over to him. âShanksâŠthatâs my nameâŠyours?â
ââŠI canât remember. No oneâs said my name in 20 years..â You looked away, slightly embarrassed. Shanks leaned back on the railing, looking out at the crystal ocean.
âWell then, I guess Iâll just have to keep calling you princess then hm?â He chuckled, putting his hand on your shoulder. You chuckled dryly, looking to him. ââŠShanks?â He nodded âThatâs itâ
âStupid nameâ
His grin became a frozen smile of shock. âWell excuse me, at least I have a name!â You giggled, tail slapping against the barrel. He laughed, putting his hand on his chest. You looked down at it, then at his chest. His skin was glowing in the sunlight, a yellowy-orange you only get in sunrise or sunset.
Your eyes traced his chest, up to his neck, briefly glancing at the bite youâd left then up to his jaw, sharp with some stubble. His face was perfect, nice nose, beautiful eyes and smiley lips. You looked at the scratches on his eye. He smiled down at you. You looked away.
âWhat happened to your arm?â He sighed. âItâs a long storyâ You nodded âWhat about your eye?â âAn even longer storyâ
A shout came from behind you two, the voice belonged to Beckman, shouting about the water. As you looked back, you noticed the flag at the top of the mast. A Jolly Roger waved happily in the breeze. You froze.
Pirates? Oh no, youâd heard stories of mermaids and fish people whoâd been taken on board pirate ships.
You looked back at Shanks, trying to conceal your fear. He shouted down to Benn before turning to you. âReady? He got some sea water for the tubâ
You decided the best thing to do would be to go along with him until you could find an escape. You nodded, mouth twitching into a smile. He noticed something was off. âYou okay?â You nodded âY-Yeah just feeling dried outâ He picked you up âWell lets get you back to the tubâ
As he carried you, you scolded yourself. How could you be so stupid! What other reason would they have to bring you on board other than to kill you or sell you to some black market! Idiot!
He placed you down into the water, your skin immediately felt better. âThat good?â You nodded and he smiled, patting your head before sitting on his bed. He picket up a shirt, pulling it on but not fully buttoning it up. âI just thought, you havenât had anything to eat have you?â You shook your head. He nodded âWhat do you eat?â âMeatâŠrawâ He walked out, gently shutting the door.
A few minutes later the door opened again but it wasnât Shanks. Yasopp held a plate of meat, pulling a small stool over to you to put the plate on. âHere you go. We only had fishâŠI hope thats not likeâŠcannibalism for youâŠâ His worry was answered when you tore into the meat, devouring it in less than a second, reaching for the next.
You finished your food and looked at the man sat across from you. âWhereâs Shanks?â Yasopp looked up, eyes meeting yours. âHeâs getting his shoulder re-stitched itâll probably be another hour and a half before he comes back. Uh- Iâm Yasopp by the wayâ You nodded, a plan forming in your head.
After 20 minutes his guard had fallen, lazily looking out of the window. And you decided now was the time.

He stiffened , looking over at you. Your eyes met his as you sang and they clouded over, similar to your own. He was yours now. âCome hereâ He stood, walking over to you. âTake me to the waterâ
He lifted you, though you found you preferred when Shanks did. On the deck Lucky Roux walked over. âWhat ya doing Yasopp?â You whisper into his shoulder âCaptainâs ordersâ Yasopp repeated to Roux âCapânâs ordersâ Roux nodded, patting his back before walking off. Yasopp got to the stern, stopping at the railing. He moved you, placing you on to it. Before he let go, you heard a click behind his head. You froze, looking to see Shanks with a gun to Yasoppâs head. He had a dark coat on now.
âBring her back to this side Yasoppâ You whispered for him to let go. He removed his arms from you and Shanks pushed the gun harder into his head. âWhatâre you doing? Yasopp!â He pulled him around, forcing him to face Shanksâ angered face. His dark eyes met Yasoppâs blank ones and he released him, looking over to where you were, now werenât. He rushed to the railing, just in time to see your tail slap against the water. Shanks swore before slumping to the deck, leaning against the rails.

You made your way towards the island youâd seen. You briefly looked back at the boat, feeling a small pang of sadness but you reminded yourself what they couldâve done to you if youâd stayed.
You get to the docks of the island and come up to one of the piers. You surface next to a medium sized boat that a few people were taking cargo off of. One of them spots you. âHey, look! Thereâs a person in the water!â They look over and two of them approach, reaching down into the water and pulling you out. They pull you up onto the deck and stare at you. âA mermaid?â âNo, a sirenâ
You put on your best âcuteâ voice you could muster, batting your lashes and pouting your lips âPlease help me, some pirates tried to kill meâ They all stared at you like lovesick fools and nodded. âOf course pretty lady, weâll help ya, lets get the bossâ
A tall man with cropped hair and an expensive looking suit came down from the boat. He stood in front of you, looking down. âWell arenât you a beautiful woman? Pirates you said?â You nodded, looking up at him through your lashes. You bit your lip âI just need a big strong man to protect meâ The men started shouting but the boss shut them up. He hoisted you into his arms in a bridal style lift.
The boss, whose name youâd learnt was Blade, took you to a building in the town. It looked very posh from the outside. Heâd had a tank brought out and put you inside The tank was a vertical cuboid, the water was a murky green that filled the whole thing. âThere you go princess, Iâll take great care of youâ He grinned and you felt sick. The way heâd said it. âPrincessâ. You hated it..but why didnât you hate it when He said it?
You heard an irritating sound and looked down. Blade held a knife, scratching it along the glass. He grinned at you before walking away. You looked up at the lid and tried to push it but it was locked. You started to panic. Why did he have a knife? Why is the tank locked? Where did he go?
The stories youâd heard of other fish-people came back to you. You slammed yourself against the glass but it did nothing.
About an hour passed and you couldnât see anything that was happening outside until a blinding light shot at you, illuminating the tank. You covered the light with your hand and tried to make out what was happening outside. You spotted some people, they were below you and they looked like they were sat down. As you strained your eyes to see, you saw more rows of people maybe about 5 more. You looked to the side and saw Blade. He was stood at a podium, speaking to the people.
You couldnât hear what he was saying but you saw the gavel in his hand and the signs people in the crowd were holding. You were at an auction. Not only that, you were being sold!
You started banging on the glass and thrashing around which seemed to make more people put up their signs, each with increasing enthusiasm. You looked at the people and saw a red haired man standing towards the back. He was looking at the floor. You started banging on the glass harder.
Someone next to him nudged him, gesturing to look at the stage. He spotted you and immediately straightened. You watched his mouth start moving, it looked like he was shouting. You looked to Blade and he was shouting back. Shanks and his crew began to make their way to the stage, Shanks running the fastest.
He jumped up to the stage, standing in front of you. You placed your hand on the glass, he put his against yours. There was a muffled crash and you looked over to see the podium knocked over and Blade on the floor with it, a gun pointed at him by Beckman.
Shanks called over to Beckman who pointed the gun at the tank. You flinched away, pressing yourself into a corner as he shot the tank. Glass exploded everywhere as the water swept out beneath you. You fell onto glass, breathing heavily. A warm hand held your shoulder and you looked up to see Shanks.
You pounced on him, hugging him tightly, body shaking as you cried. âIâve got you princessâ You sobbed, talking too fast and tripping over your words. You tried to apologise but he shushed you. âItâs okay, Iâve got you, you donât need to apologise, youâre okay, Iâm here princessâ

Thunder growled outside as wind rattled the windows, trying to force its way in. The usually stoic castle seemed to gain a spectral feel to it whenever the weather turned dark. The storm was not a fear of yours, nor a fear of the old building collapsing. No, it was more so the reminder of what a kind of place it was. And what a place it was indeed. Whenever you dwelled on your living situation, unconditional happiness spread through you: gratefulness that you lived in a place like this.
From where you were sat up in the bed, there was a clear view of the large window and of the battle that raged beyond it. You pulled your robe closer, the small, silk nightie below it rubbed across your thighs as you shifted. A flash of lightning illuminated the well furnished room, the colours mainly consisted of black, silver and a deep red. The curtains attached to your bed were a dark cherry red with black and silver embroidered detailings; the silk sheets black with red frills and the fainting chair with red fabric and black stained wood.
Another crash of thunder was accompanied by the sudden feeling of a hand on your waist. You turned to your lover who gazed up at you through his ebony lashes. It drastically contrasted his pale complexion but his eyes brought the look together. Crimson irises that seemed to glow in the darkness. His hand trailed higher, resting just below your breasts.
âMy love, what torments your mind?â He shifts, sitting up next to you, moving your gown out of the way and pressing delicate kisses to your shoulder. You lean back into him, letting his touch consume you. He slides his hand down your arm, taking your hand in his and shifting his affections to the rings that donn your delicate fingers. You watch his lips press against the cold metal.
âI do hope I am the object of your fixation as you are mineâ You turn your head to him, removing your hand from his and holding his face. His eyes follow your movements as your fingers stroke his jaw. âAlways, my love, but other matters consume me as well as you.â You bring your lips to his, closing your eyes. He leans in, holding you tighter.
He pulls away, stroking some loose strands of hair from your face. âWhat concerns you, dear?â You kiss him again, moving to kiss his jaw once. âNothing, mon cherie. I was just pondering the weather that rages beyond the walls of this beautiful placeâ He chuckled lightly, kissing your cheek.
âIt is beautiful, is it not? Such a violent thing, yet so peaceful from hereâ You nodded at his words, turning your head to watch the storm. He rested his head on your shoulder, accompanying your gaze. He kissed your shoulder once more, his eyelashes tickled your skin.
The peaceful silence continued for another minute, both of you basking in the otherâs presence; it was occasionally broken by rumbling and crashes. âDo you have the time, mon cheri?â The ravenâs voice almost startled you, awakening you from your dream-like trance. You look over to the bedside cabinet where your favourite watch sat on the wood. You picked it up, holding the chain with your left hand, opening the compartment with your right.
âI make it 10 past the hour mon amourâ You closed the pendant, it snapped together with a light click. âAnd what hour would that be?â You felt his smile against your shoulder and smiled too. âMidnight, darlingâ He took the watch from your hands, threading it through his fingers. He gave it back to you, placing it into your hands gently, closing your fingers around it.
âI have something for you, trĂšs cherâ He moved away, standing up and walking across the room. You watched him as he walked. Black trousers and a beige blouse with exactly the right amount of frills. You adored the way his baggy sleeves fell across his arms, deceiving to the eye of the muscles that lay underneath. He opened a drawer of the vanity you both used and pulled out a small box.
You stood, walking over until you were at his side. He handed the box to you. Your fingers brushed his has it was handed over. Inside was a breath-taking, gorgeous pendant with silver chain and a bright ruby gem. You looked up, eyes meeting his, almost the same colour as the jewel. His hand stroked your cheek, feather-light touches dancing across your skin. He leaned down, placing a delicate yet passionate kiss to your lips.
âHappy anniversary amour, Je t'aime plus que les mots ne peuvent le direâ You smiled brightly, leaning up to kiss him again. You whispered against his lips âC'est beau, loveâ
He took the necklace from the box, moving you to turn your back to him. Moving your hair away and sliding your robe from your shoulders, he placed the necklace on your sternum and attached it together at your nape. He repositioned your hair but left your robe where it was, sat at your elbows.
âI do hope your arenât expecting a gift from me because Iâm afraid you wonât be getting oneâ He chuckled, gracing his fingers over the gem. âIâm sure we can think of a last minute presentâ. You raised an eyebrow, slightly smirking. âOh?â
âŠ. ââââââââââââââââââââ.âŠ
Mihawk groaned beneath you as your hips slowly moved in an excruciating circle. Your soft pants mixed with his noises as you both settled down from your previous high. You looked down, along your body, the gem still sat as beautiful as ever on your collarbone, littered with bites, dribbles of blood and bruises, along and up his which was equally covered, red patches sprouting beneath his open blouse.
His cheeks had turned an equally red shade, one of which you cupped in your hand, thumb stroking over it. His eyes met yours and he opened his mouth, inviting your fingers over. You placed your thumb on his tongue, weary to not activate his gag reflex which youâd heard all about from a red-haired yonko. He sucked on your thumb gently, keeping eye contact the whole time.
You leaned down, replacing your digit with your mouth, rolling your tongue against his. You let out a sound between a moan and a gasp as his member started to harden again inside of you. You pulled away, putting your thumb back but purposely pressing on his tongue to gag him. He struggled and you chuckled at the noise.
His hand came up to your hip, brushing against it but you firmly pressed it down onto the mattress. You tsk-ed lightly. âThis is a present for you Cheri, just sit back and let me do the work hm?â He nodded, closing his eyes and adjusting to a more comfortable position. âI only wish that you could be pleasured too, my love, I do hope youâll let me after thisâ.
You kissed down his chest, fingers gliding underneath the fabric the rested there. Your hips began their ministrations again as you showered his body in your love. âMaybe for our next anniversary, iâll get you a better giftâ You sucked on his nipple, tongue lolling around it. âMaybe one that includes your old friend?â

When there isnât 20 new fics for me to read after refreshing the tag (I just finished reading everything and have absolutely no patience)
a little shower thought for nowâŠ
⧠ââ overstimulating gojo by removing his blindfold
gojo always keeps his blindfold wrapped tightly around his eyes to prevent sensory overload from his surroundings because of the six eyes. i can see this also applying to the bedroom, claiming he would âimmediately bust a nut from how good your pussy feelsâ.
even though youâd always wanted to feel the intimacy of looking into those luminous blue eyes, you respected his wishes. and he always made up for it by fucking you real good.
but today, you were pissed.
his hands are bound behind the chair as you ride him deep and slow. heâs tugging at his restraints, head thrown back, hips bucking up to fuck deeper into you.
âpleaseâneed to feel you, feel your tits. youâre so tight around me, haahâsqueezing me to death,â he gasps between moans, dick pulsing wildly.
the grin on your face is borderline wicked.
âshouldâve thought twice before forgetting our anniversary dinner. had me looking like a goddamn idiot waiting for you. getting stood up by her date,â you spit, slamming back down onto his painfully hard cock.
âmâsorry, fuck, i didnât mean toâshiitâi promise iâll buy you whatever you want tomorrow. iâll do whatever you want, just let me touch you,â he begs, tears beginning to stain the cloth over his eyes.
you drag a teasing finger down his jaw, raising goosebumps from your feather-light touch. you murmur, âhmm, there is one thing i want.â
âyesâyes, anything, pleaseââ
wordlessly, you trace the edge of his blindfold, hooking a finger underneath. thereâs a sharp intake of breath from the man underneath you. but he doesnât object. you pull the blindfold down, letting it hang from his neck. the bulge of his adamâs apple bobs underneath the strip of fabric.
his eyes squint, struggling to adapt to the sudden brightness. before it hits him like a freight train.
the smell of your perfume. the metallic tang of blood from biting his lips too hard. the dips and curves of your naked waist. the shuddered breath as you struggle to take all of him. and worst of all, how tight and warm you feel around him. he can feel every ridge of your walls that are clenching so hard heâs sure itâs leaving an imprint on his dick.
you test this new-found sensitivity, grinding harder, slick making a mess of your thighs.
all he can see, feel, smell, hear, and taste is you. his mind is spinning, giddy from the sensation of you. he whimpers, thighs shaking from how dangerously close he is to an orgasm.
âgâna cum,â he moans, arms flexing, muscles tensed, from behind his back. heâs trying so hard not to cum into you right now.
âbeg for it.â oh you were being so mean.
âplease, i love you so much, nghâlet me fill you up, pleasepleaseplease,â his words are slurring together, his brain already short-circuiting.
âgo ahead,â you purr into his ear, nibbling on the edge of his helix.
thatâs all it takes before heâs spilling into you, with a groan that travels to your core. his fists are clenched so tightly his knuckles are turning white, eyelashes fluttering as his eyes roll back.
you reach your high soon after, the mixture of your releases dripping onto the chair. your body falls forward in exhaustion, pressing your sweaty chests together.
the weight of your body collapsed onto him was enough to make him harden again. his eyes glint with mischief as he starts lazily fucking up into you. you scramble for purchase on his shoulders, realising heâs turned the tables on you.
âguess i have the rest of the night to make it up to you.â
