Scott Wilson and the Case of the Levitsky House Ghosts | by withershins | AO3 Locked | 11K - Teen and Up
How to reunite long-dead lovers wasnât exactly on the list of skills Scott expected to learn during summer hockey camp.
Warnings: Light spook and minor gruesomeness
What Is and What Should Never Be | by @theladyscribe | 746 - General Audiences
Nobody told Zhenya that the Stanley Cup came with its own ghosts, but then again, most of the hockey players he knows donât even have an inkling of the Sight. He first sees them when he takes the Cup from Bettman, kissing it and lifting it above his head even as the crowd swells to include the shimmer of other Cup Final crowds. Thereâs a knot of ghostly players, too, all but one of them grinning wide, banging their ghostly sticks against the ice.

âHow do I break a curse that he canât see, and youâll forget as soon as you leave?â
âSame way you break any curseâwith true love or some equal sacrifice.â Jags smirks. âIâm guessing true love is out. So you find something else.â
Claude glances around the room, as though the pain scale or knee anatomy charts can offer up a suggestion. âLike what?â

âYou smell like aââ TJ says to Mike before cutting himself off. He shakes his head and then seems to relax, or at least look like heâs trying to relax. âHanging out a lot with Tom?â
âYeah,â Mike says, and knows heâs grinning like a moron. âHeâs great.â Tom fell asleep on his shoulder yesterday morning. Mike had gently reached up and brushed Tomâs shaggy hair away from his surprisingly cold skin. He worries that Tom doesnât bundle up enoughâ Tomâs skin is so cold, and heâs always pale. Maybe thatâs because he doesnât get to tan, though, Mike thinks, because Tom only works the night shift.
TJ seems to leave Mike alone after that, but at odd moments, he sees TJ staring at him from across the aisle, gaze fixed on Mikeâs jaw or throat or something.

The Penguins call him in early when it turns out that Evgeni Malkin is coming over from Russia - or maybe âfleeingâ is a better word for it.
âMetallurg had his passport,â Therrien says over the phone. âAnd when they had to give it back so he could travel with the team, itâs likely that they took - ah, other precautions.â
Magical precautions, he means. Theyâre practically sanctioned in the Superleague these days, though itâs not like North American hockey has any room to point fingers. Sid grew up a Habs fan; he knows from curses.
Blight | by @ladyjanelly | 27.8 K - Mature
Jamie is twenty, a rookie in the NHL. Tyler is a seventeen year old homeless gay kid. It shouldnât work, but theyâre doing okay until the Blight sweeps the world, dead people walking, killing, feeding.

And There Are Lights | by @7iris | 24.2 K - Mature
Seth was raised with the knowledge of what exactly goes bump in the night. When he gets drafted, he thinks heâs leaving that behind. He thinks heâs going to be like everyone else, cheerfully oblivious to that shadow world.
And then he finds out about Roman.
And We Started At the End | by nicoleh262 | 12.7K - Teen and Up
Lone traveler Mike Green stumbles across lonely shut-in Brooks Laich a few months after the apocalypse hits, and the two band together. While survival was what they originally had in mind, it is only once they grow close that they start living.
Or, more simply: Love in the time of the zombie apocalypse.
