I like to think there is an interview of the Centaurs where they ask who is the funniest on the team and a lot of them say Shane. It surprises the fans, all they know is the meticulate, media trained hockey-Robot-Hollander.

But really, Shane lives to chirp, mostly at his husband. He loves teasing the rookies, because it helps them see him as a teammate and less as hockey-god-Hollander, which is better for the team's dynamic. He loves bitching about the reporters and their dumbass question.

Just a thought about Shane feeling so welcomed and safe with the centaurs that he's comfortable being his authentic sarcastic little self. More than that, the cens actually took the step to UNDERSTAND HIM, to know him truly and now they get his humour. The metros never got to know him like that (and it's their loss).

Remember Shane's PR approved smile whenever we see him recording an ad in the show?

Now think about post coming-out Hollanov doing an ad campaign together (like Calvin Klein?? People would go crazy for it). Shane having so much fun on this shoot because of course his beloved husband is here, being silly, making him smile and laugh until his cheeks hurt, and also looking really sexy.

And when the campaign finally launch, everyone is shocked, not just by how hot they are, but by how happy Shane looks. They never saw hockey's golden boy smile like this, so big it shows his perfect teeth and his eyes are all ^^. Everyone on the internet being like.. wow they really love each other, don't they?

If Heated Rivalry happened in the omega verse I feel like Shane and Ilya would both be alphas. It'd add to the controversy of their relationship.
