Day 15:

Who is someone you admire? Why?

I admire my mom a lot. She has been the person who keeps our household together. She remember things for everyone and she’s there for us when we need her. She puts up with our crap and loves us unconditionally. Though I don’t think I’ll ever become a mother I do home that if it does happen I’m at least half as good a mother as she is. I love you mom so very much.

30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 13

Day 13:

What can you not live without?

This is the hardest question yet. I don’t want to say anything that sounds to materialistic, but I don’t want to sound as a fake either. I think that the one thing I can’t live without is my messy brain. I love and hate overanalyzing every single detail happening in my life. I love that it makes me seem interesting and that because of it I have so many things to talk about, but a I hate how sometimes my thoughts can control my feelings, emotions, and actions. But that’s my answer. Simple as that.

30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 12

Day 12:

What item of clothing do you wear the most?

This one is hilarious. I have a very predictable wardrobe for my day to day things and I leave my pretty and creative outfits for outings with friends. Firstly I am a shorts girl and living on an island was the best because I literally were shorts all through the year. I love the Caribbean precisely because of that.  So for going to classes I would mostly wear shorts. Now that I graduated and moved to the states is been harder to keep on with the shorts thing even though I live in the south there are days that leaving at home in shorts is just plain crazy.  Since then I am very into jeans and leggings and they look great with a few pair of boots I own. Another thing is I have a lot Tommy Hilfiger v-neck t-shirts and I use those for errands and for day to day things also. I am currently working on a store that requires me to use khakis so most of the time I wear them with those t-shirts or with some Ralph Lauren polo shirts.  Now my signature accessory would be my glasses. I own 3 pairs of glasses right now.  The thing is I’m really into glasses but my prescription hasn’t changed since high school so every time I get myself a new pair I can still use the older ones because they’re the same.  My first pair of glasses were bought the summer before my sophomore year of college, they are very hipster like and are a random brand I had never heard of and were made out of recyclable material.  Since those are my least expensive and my oldest pair right now I use those glasses mostly when I’m at home or when I’m going to do something outdoorsy or extreme. For example if I’m going to a place with rides that are fast moving I would wear these or for helping out someone with yard stuff or going out to a nature walk etc. The second pair of glasses I own I bought the summer before my senior year in college, these are RayBans club masters. I use these ones for professional stuff mostly. I go to work with these and when I need to look more serious those would be my go to glasses.  The third pair where bought a year later, the summer after I graduated from college.  These glasses were bought because I completely fell in love with them because usually I don’t by new glasses until I have been at least two years with the newest set I own, but I just couldn’t resist.  These are purpleish and are Burberry and are the most expensive pair of glasses I own. I use these for more fashionable outings, going to bars, hanging out with friends, shopping, basically my day to days where I’m not doing anything to extreme nor anything to professional or to be taken seriously.

30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 11

Day 11:

What is your favorite quote? How does it relate to your life?

This is a hard one, I am a big quote person and I’m always quoting books, movies, speeches, etc. My favorite quotes vary but there is one quote I once read that never got out of my mind. It went like this:

“And even if you’re not here to stay, I’m happy the universe allowed your soul to stop by.”

I don’t know who said this, I honestly don’t care really but this quote means so many things to me. 

This quotes reminds me of my first boyfriend because he taught me I could be loved, this quote goes to those old friend I don’t speak to anymore because even though distance separated us, there are so many warm memories in my heart I wouldn’t change for the world. This quote also reminds me of the bad boy I dated my senior year of high school who to this day still calls me every once in a while to make sure I’m doing ok. This quote goes to the first guy I actually fell in love with, who broke my heart into millions of pieces.  Even though the end was the most tragic and hurtful ending I had lived that year and a half meant the world to me.  To my best guy friend who is very much in my life and helped me dig myself out of that whole after that nasty break up.  To my best girl friend who has been there for me 100%, who understand my fears, knows my strengths and weaknesses and sometimes believes in me more than I could ever believe in myself.  For the last guy who I dated, even though destiny separated us thanks to you I felt I could love someone again after that horrible break up with my last boyfriend. It took me two years for me to let a guy in and you did that and it was so worth it. Also Thank you for being the same guy even after we stopped dating, I know distance made the relationship impossible but thank you for being a friend even though it kills us both to be like this.  Basically this quote is dedicated to every single person who made me smile at least once, because even though some of you have left my life for good and some of you might’ve even hurt me, those warm memories are something I cherish.  I am truly glad all of you have stopped by, because I have learned more about myself while sharing moments with you.

30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 10

Day 10:

If you could only live off of one food and one beverage for the rest of your days, what would they be?

This is kind of hard, at least the food part because the beverage would definitely be diet coke. I mean I know it isn’t healthy but I just love that drink so much. Food wise I think pizza, there’s so many toppings you could put on a pizza and so many ways of making pizzas, I think I would never get bored of it. So yeah.

Day 9:

How old do you think you act? Explain.

This is a hard question. I mean it depends on situations really. I have been applauded my whole life for being mature for my age but I never understood exactly what actions were supposedly mature for my age. I mean I am pretty level headed but at the same time I have so many flaws that I can’t even imagine myself as a mature person. Like I still fill like a child in a young adult’s body. I don’t know if that makes any sense but yeah. I think I act every age. Depends on moods, situations, emotions, circumstances, among other things.

Day 8:

If you could live anywhere, where would you live and why?

I would live in Puerto Rico. It has always been home and I wouldn’t change that for the world.  Due to some circumstances I had to move to the states and even though I have adapted well to the change I always feel kind of trapped here. Like the feeling that I’m not at home just doesn’t go away and the fact that I feel that way scares the fuck out of me. Sometimes I wish I could take back the decision of coming here.  Someday I’ll go back home.

30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 7

Day 7:

Do you read? If so, what are your three favorite books and why?

I’m a huge bookworm. In elementary school we would have competitions on who would read the most books with different prices and everything. I would always win first place in my classroom. I was always a step ahead most of the kids in my class when it came to reading, like I would read more advanced books because I could easily get lost in the world of reading. I read my first chapter book in first grade while most of my friends were still reading picture books.  I was reading Harry Potter since it came out when I was in second grade, so you kind of get the picture. What are my three favorite books? That is a hard one but I will narrow it to these:

1. Harry Potter series: That was an obvious one, I mean I mentioned them above. This book was a great part of my childhood and the movies also. I’m a Potterhead, I’m actively use my Pottermore account I have been to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando, I have all of the original books and all of the blue ray extended edition movies.  I have read each book at least 3 times so yeah I might need a Potter rehab soon.

2. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series: This series helped me go through some hard times as a teen. I love how these books actually discuss very real problems teens go through, usually when I pick a book about friendships in high school there’s a lot of drama about boyfriend stealing or how you’re invisible to the popular guy and other dumb issues that in real life are so irrelevant. Ann Brashares did an excellent job with these books, she points out real emotional things that women go through in their teens and show the importance of real friendships. Distance and obstacles won’t ruin the pureness of these girls friendships. I also love the fact that each of her characters are relatable, she did  not create characters that are one dimensional and are very alike to each other, but actually created characters that are very complicated and each have their own set of personality traits and problems and how each of them have strength and weaknesses that compliment each other.  I can relate to each and every of the four girls in very different ways (of course there is one I relate to more than the rest). Also many people criticize the 5th book because of what happens to Tibby, but I love how each of them are still the same person no matter how much success or even obstacles they go through. They have matured, they might want different things than when they were younger but they were still the 4 girls who shared the pants during the summer.  They went their separate ways but their friendship was still strong.

3. Tuesdays with Morrie: This book is filled with so much wisdom.  It is a book that speaks of a life worth living and enjoying every extent of it (even the bad parts). It is such a great book and it is such an easy read so out of the three I mentioned I strongly recommend this one.  It is a book that will make you want to smile, laugh and even cry. It is great.

Day 6:

Name five things from your wishlist.

This is a hard one. I don’t have wish lists when it comes to material things, like yeah sometimes I want a certain item and I get excited when end up purchasing it but most of the stuff I have on my wishlist has more to do with my personal life and what I need emotionally. I really don’t feel like sharing this because it would make me so vulnerable so I will leave it at that. I’m so sorry to disappoint you guys.

30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 5

Day 5:

At what age were you the happiest?

Every age has it's up and downs. There's moments I always want to go back to and other moments I wish I could not remember anymore.  I think that I was happiest as a kid.  I had a good childhood, friends, attentive parents, an awesome sister. I was surrounded but so much love and bliss that I think I was happy on most days.  Then again my experiences as a teenager and a young adult have molded my personality today and that also makes me happy, to know why I am how I am. To know I have the strength of a warrior because of past experiences.  I think every age has its happy and magical moments.

Day 4:

If you could chose a time period to be born at , which one would it be and why?

To be honest I haven't even thought about that. I have never had like a favorite time period.  I definitely enjoy the time period I was born in because we are more advanced in women's rights (though we have a long way to go). So I'm more focused on a better tomorrow than in what time period I would've wanted to be born in.

30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 3

Day 3:

What band / musician is most important to you?  Explain why.

Wow these questions are more so hard to answer.  I don't have a favorite band and musician I have different bands and musicians I listen to depending on my mood. Obviously I have a few that always stand out and I follow constantly, but that doesn't mean I don't listen to just their type of music.  Also I'm not the fan who is going to get all psycho and defend them every time a scandal comes out. I just appreciate their music and lyrics (especially the lyrics) because I can relate to it.  Now to those important musicians:

Taylor Swift- she literally has a song about everything. You love someone, you hate someone, someone broke your heart, your broke someone's heart, someone cheated on you, etc. Like for every ex I have there is a Taylor Swift song that describes how I felt or feel about them currently

Ellie Goulding- her music is catchy, her lyrics relatable and her voice is so unique. She also has songs about different emotions I go through.

Ricky Martin- I don't care that he's gay, he's the love of my life. Ever since I was a kid I would sing his songs. Some of his songs are catchy, others are relatable, some are danceable. Also I love how he's always giving back to his community and the world. I mean his investigation on human trafficking, wow he is so involved in trying to stop it. He's a role model really That's it. Again this are the most important ones but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate other musicians or bands. Or that I only listen to the kind of music the artists I mentioned above sing.  Thanks for bearing another day in my thoughts :)

30 Day Personal Challenge: Day 2

Day 2:

What is your stance on religon? Would you affiliate yourself with any?

I grew up Catholic, I had my baptism before I turned 1, my first communion by the time I was around 8 and chose to have my faith confirmed by age 15.  I have always believed there is a God and that he has a mission for us here on Earth. On the other hand I don't agree with a lot of things the catholic religion stands for (and other religions for that matter).  I am pro life, I don't judge people based on sexual orientation, I don't think people should be obligated to save sex up until marriage (if they want to wait, they should do it because they want to not because some religion says they have to)., among other things.  Also I hate going to church but this has to do more with how easily I get distracted during mass.  I do think religion is important though.  Religion gives us faith and hope when we think things are going all wrong, God gives us the strength we need to face certain things.  Should everyone be catholic? No, we should be free to believe in whichever religion we want to believe in.  The important thing is to be a good person, to try do good, to help other swhen we can and to not make others hurt and suffer.  Religion helps people, but I'm also clear that it isn't for everyone and though I think that everyone should try to be religious at least once in their lifetime so that they can experience it, it doesn't mean I expect people to believe in the same God I do or to believe in God at all for that matter.  I think we should just focus on being good.
