Chat with me about crafts and fandoms - i don't bite!😄
Thank you for the tag, @prettychaos1409! And may I say I really love your own answers to 4, 5, and 8 in particular! 😊
Hair color: Brunette with a lot of gray patches in it now (I started graying quite early, in my late 20's, and I'm gonna be 38 this September).
Favorite color(s): Purple 💜 and pink 🩷! I also like butter yellow, mint green, orange, and aqua blue as accents to go with them (sort of a nice little tropical rainbow).
Favorite drink: I usually just drink water with meals, but my favorite tea is ginger-peach and my favorite soda is Dr. Pepper. Hot chocolate is also nice now and then.
One thing I love about myself: My childlike tastes for things that are happy and innocent. I hope I never lose that too. 💗
If I could be any animal: This may seem surprising, since they're so often associated with horror and that's not "my aesthetic" at all, but I've often thought how fun it would be to be a crow. They're very intelligent animals that can sometimes talk, apparently they have good and lifelong relationships with their families, I don't think they have too many predators, they can scavenge for fun human foods left out like fries and cake and hotdogs and all that--and like any bird, they can fly anywhere they want. I've often wished I could explore old fields and abandoned farm buildings, and a bird could do that all day long.
Dream place to visit: Hawaii, Australia, Iceland, or Japan for places I've never been, and Great Britain for a return trip.
Looking forward to: My birthday! We're going to go to one of our state parks, and I've asked for the li'l Black Series Commander Gree figurine, and I plan to take him with us and take pictures of him getting to enjoy his beloved forests, like he deserves. 😊💚
Biggest dream: Well, I enjoy life one day at a time, but I have to admit I don't have a big goal to work towards. (I probably need to find one.) I just want to retire safely, and always have a family to love. (Which is difficult, because I'm an aro-ace only-child, and I'm scared of losing my mother and grandmother, since they're all the family I have. I sincerely hope if I outlive them, I can somehow find a dear friend with a spouse and kids who'll "adopt" me as an aunt and let me live very close to them. Apologies for angsting about that here.)
Song on repeat: "Like a Match" by TobyMac. It just feels so spunky and easy and happy all at once!
No-pressure tags: I second @archivewriter1ont, as well as @elinorjaneofmanyfandoms, @autumnwoodsdreamer, @thekumama, @fuzzyenthusiastnelket01, @cyber54prime, and @crazyaboutalotofthings22!
Vor'e for the tag guys @featherquilt1988 @eclec-tech ! 🤩
Hair color: dark brown
Favourite color: ooh, if I had to pick just one it would be turquoise, but I really can't decide between green and blue 💙💚
Favorite drink: Right now it's Iced coffe - the way they make it in Cafes - with vanilla ice cream and sometimes even chocolate sprinkles 😋
One thing I love about myself: my crafts - being able to create sth with my own hands (It doesn't matter whether it's crocheting, photography or drawing)
If I could be any animal: I'd love to be a dragon - being able to fly would be so amazing (and Dragons are cool as hell XD). But I also like the idea of being a Magpie or a Cat ( @vimse , your idea of being a brown bear sounds really tempting , too 😃)
Dream place to visit: Well, I have already been to Iceland but I'd love to visit it again. (Iceland's nature stole my heart🥰 ) But Japan, Scottland, Ireland and Rome are also places I'd like to see.
Looking forward to: a week with temperatures below 30°C..... 🫠
Biggest dream: a "roadtrip" by train (maybe through Scottland)
Song on repeat: at the moment "Amaze Amaze Amaze (Life on Erid)" by Daniel Pemberton
You managed to write so much in this short amount of time?! 🤯
And I love the fic so far, you can really see that Fox is cunning and a survivor. Mai'ke and Sohm (and the rest of Clan Kaja) are so nice to him - something Fox seemingly can't handle (he had years when he could only trust his Vode) even if he is force sensitive.
The Mandos "ad adopting" senses are already tingling... something Fox wants even less, he has Osik to handle. 😆
Rex: So, how's adjusting to your new squad going?
Echo: Well, my net worth has certainly gone up.
Rex: *confused* Uh, what?
Echo: Yeah, you know. What you're worth when you're caught in a net.
Rex:
Rex: I'm sorry can you please explain that.
Echo: We were running out of fuel on our last assignment so we landed in a Separatist port and Hunter put on a disguise and turned Tech in. We got six thousand credits for him.
Rex: Six. Thousand?
Echo: Yeah, turns out he's the lowest-value option at the moment, but Wrecker said he got turned in the last time. He's worth ten thousand, because he's blown up, like, a ton of important stuff, apparently. Hunter and Cross are probably in the eleven to twelve k range but they can't agree on who's worth more.
Rex:
Rex: You sold your brother!!!???
Crosshair: *offscreen* Are you even brothers if you haven't sold each other once?
Tech: When we were cadets I sold Crosshair to Hunter for two credits.
Crosshair: Those were imaginary credits, Tech.
Tech: Which was the agreed-upon currency at the time. That transaction has never been voided, by the way. Legally, you still belong to Hunter.
Hunter: Please, void it. I don't want him anymore. Here, take your two fake credits.
Wrecker: Don't say that! Come here, Crosshair. I want you.
Rex: *still on the comm* YOU SOLD YOUR BROTHER?
Echo: We obviously got him back, Rex. Chill out. We fueled up in like ten minutes and went to retrieve him. He's fine.
Rex: So you sold him and then you stole him BACK?
Tech: Obviously. This squad would not survive without me for longer than the time it takes to refuel. That is why we usually sell Hunter or Wrecker. Additionally, they do not require extraction as they usually do that on their own.
Echo: I'm worth three thousand at the moment. But ten thousand is coming, wait and see!
Rex: *frightened ori'vod noises*

🦉 Owl Squad at their first field mission campfire 🔥 Slowly getting comfortable with each other. Some easier than others 😹
Text: *texting*
Cdr. Eo: Oh... uh-huh... okay... oh, wow... uhm, alright...
Sgt. Sixoh: (This Commander is quite patient. Yet...)
Source: (We need a new medic. This one is broken)
Forest: (Fire is good. Vode are good. Commander is good. Source is about to explode. Perfection)
Voice: (Thanks Maker, I think I love all of those weirdos)
🦉 An actual second writing under the star of "The Source Code" (!!!!!! I WROTE !? maybe because I'm quite released because I managed my qualification tests and now I'm actually able to study communication design at university asap after clinical treatment, words flowed out of my wrist I can't believe it)
... under the cut 👇 Beware, no first language, no beta read! I hope you enjoy though! ✨👀
🦉 The Campfire
Kashyyyk | 21 BBY | First camping outside of the 41st Ranger Platoon base
Clone Medic Text was a nervousness babbler. Just to be fair, he has been actually silent all duty day, focussed and observing their new Commander and her actions. In his opinion, they couldn't have gotten a better deal. She was tough, quite protective and the best – she let them do their job.
Before moving out today, he had double checked his medic field backpack and added some of his own special features to impress and almost made it too late for the call. So he had skipped shaving and hid behind his bucket as long as possible.
Luckily the Commander seemed to be cool and collected, not too stern, not different than on their first mission together, before they were an official unit. Maybe it's just his hopes, but especially after official hours now she was smiling often and was – thankfully – quite a good listener!
Text though, he maybe has never had the chance to indulge rambling about his interests (fauna) in that scale before and maybe never will have. This moment at the campfire will linger in his head and his heart. This was so much better than his escalated downtown adventures in Coruscant!
Her sudden hand on his shoulder was at first a bit unsettling, but he got the hint, calmed down his mood a bit. He was happy with everything right now.
Who could blame him? She was one of the most beautiful nat-borns he ever saw (his trainers on Kamino, some Jedi from the distance, Geonosians and Wookies, some others at 79s) and she hasn't stopped him yet and now she's even laughing!
He could get used to this.
That's my Commander now, he thought, grinning cheekily at her.
If he died tomorrow fulfilling his duty under her command, it would be a kriffing honor.
---
Padawan Commander Eo was nervous now too, because it was the first after official hours outside of the protection of the base. She somehow landed here, alone in the wilderness of Kashyyyk with the 5 clone troopers she initially had chosen out of the locally stationed 41st, just for a single special Jedi Padawan mission. She never thought about seeing them again, even less, that they could've got assigned to her as her own unit – long-termed.
Now she was sitting with the very same clones on some lost crates around a campfire in the small abandoned foothold they headed to camp for the night. This was strange, but in a nice way. Together they already have made themselves a name as a unit, by mere chance.
So those five men are again under her command now. For the first unofficial mission just one week ago, she had chosen them for their specialisations and for somehow standing out of the mass. Outsiders, just like herself, as she struggles with her Padawan training despite being mighty in the Force, allegedly.
If she had known that she would end up stuck together with those men, she maybe would have chosen differently. Or maybe not?
Anyway, at the moment she felt comfortable at the warm campfire, listening to Text's excitement ramble, his familiar deep clone voice full of joyful passion, his eyes sparkling from sharp intelligence, playful- and watchfulness alike and – if she squinted – a glint of madness. No wonder actually.
Eo liked him. She let him talk her ears off, also because kind of positively surprised that such a young clone trooper reached out to her like that.
It warmed her heart, seeing Text revive like this after being all day not only a badass attentive medic, but also a quiet and highly skilled close combat fighter. She badly wants to know how a Gen 3 clone, not older than maybe 8 or 9 years, biologically 16 or 17, could have developed skills like that.
She laughed, as he started to wave with his data pad, already leaning in to explain even more dramatically. Without further thinking about it, she placed her hand on his shoulder, steadying him and herself in their shared laughter and tried to save him from himself.
And maybe also a bit herself from him.
Looking into his mirthful eyes and then over the other watching pairs of almost similar looking amber-brown eyes – curious, incredulous, mischievous and amused – Commander Eo realised maybe for the first time, that she might have made a big mistake with her choice of the men.
She could already feel the attachment.
The one thing she shouldn't have felt for them.
She could be a brave, nice, caring and good Commander for them, but according to the Jedi's lessons she absolutely shouldn't feel what she felt now.
And this wasn't even the first time that her heart hurt for those clones.
It wasn't fair, that this talkative clone-teenager looked almost as old as herself and even obviously enjoyed it, flirting with her, similarly like his more shy but mischievous brother Voice. And that one somehow managed to look big, but he was even younger than Text!
It wasn't fair that those intimidating Gen 1 clones, Forest and Source, were clone-biologically 22 years old, but looking 30 or more, just have seen real 11 years of life and most of that not even outside of Kamino. The rest of it basically from one death trap into the next.
It wasn't fair, that her still young Gen 2 Sergeant still emitted fear, when she would only turn into his direction, but then showed to her the stable and seasoned warrior, looking with his wide eyes straight at at some point over her face. She only knew that Sixoh had been thrown from Kamino directly into the Second Battle of Geonosis and then with the rest of Green Company into the dark void, serving on the Tranquility. Kamino and that was his whole life so far.
Padawan Eo knew Master Luminara Unduli and her fellow Padawan Barriss Offee. Whatever horrors Sixoh might have had to face, it couldn't have been them.
Text has calmed down and drew something on his datapad. Eo watched Forest tending the dying campfire. The seasoned clone's face neutral and his eyes on the last flames, the whole man quite a clone-untypical picture of deep thoughts, sitting barefoot in a deep squad like many of the wookies.
Heavy Gunner Voice got up, yawning and called it a night, startling poor skittish Sergeant Sixoh, as he patted on his shoulder from passing by behind him.
Source didn't look up from his datapad as the Sergeant next to him relaxed again with a sigh after Voice' sudden familiar gesture, but the ARC Trooper's facial features relaxed a bit and some of the face lines smoothened in the cold light of his datapad.
Then, without tilting his head or moving his face, he looked up, straight into Eo's eyes, catching her watching him.
The mikkian froze, as she was locked into the most direct and intense stare she received so far from a clone, or even generally.
She blushed like a little girl.
Force, nothing about this was fair.
She shook off her unsettlement, chuckled over her own reaction and held his glance with a smile. She was the Commander and she was in charge, no little girl at all!
Eyes still locked, a hint of a smile played around Source' lips, so small that Eo wasn't sure if he even moved a face muscle.
The mikkian's tendrils coiled slightly. This felt like going into the absolutely wrong direction and sadly it's to her making it good again.
Flirting wasn't "forbidden", but before working together with clone troopers, all of the Jedi, together with the other nat-born GAR Admirals, Lieutenants and else, were basically reminded with cold Kaminoan words, that clones might look and behave like mature humans, but in the end they're trained war machines, the human nature carefully suppressed for their own wellbeing, meaning they had buried wishes and questions that shouldn't be stirred awake.
Not a few Jedi fell their serenity out of their faces for a moment, Eo included. It felt like a nightmare to her.
Dank Farrik. This wasn't just awkward, this was the madness of war. And Eo was even more determined to become the best Commander her new clone trooper squad could have. They deserve as much life as she could provide them under her protection and she can't take that those five living souls, so bright and beautifully complex in the Force suffer, because of her mikkian- or whatever weak struggles, that keep her away from getting knighted.
She must give not less than her very best.
She owes them.
The Commander nods at Source, standing up, trying to look tall and grounded.
"Voice is right, let's get a bunch of sleep. Tomorrow we'll head out at 0900. Goodnight, troopers."
The four remaining clones nodded back and did one of their weird cloned-voices choruses – "Good night, Sir".
She flashed a warm smile to them and turned away.
Entering her tiny Commander tent, her heart felt heavy.
She had to do her meditation before sleeping. Badly.
She had to sort herself properly, reminding herself that she's obligated to protect those brave men.
Also from herself.

"The Source Code" beautiful readers that showed interest a loo00OOoong time ago 🤩🫶 @dumfanting @peggy7447
The first meeting - well, we got an POV of Eo's and Text's first "first-night-as-a-squad" impression! (Without intention of pressuring you: I'd love to read the other's "first" impressions 😉)
And we get this wonderful fireplace pic with it! 😃 (Or rather we get lore to this pic - can't decide what's better...)

I have NEVER seen such a big dragon trying to take up as little space as possible like that @eobe . 🤣😂🤣😂 the only better option for a shelter would be ✨️a Box✨️ (and shielding the Tail is a smart move...you never know with Fledglings 🤩🤭)
The wing-shield is an understandable action but it won't be effective if the little friendshaped Danger-Noodle decides to see if he can climb or play with the white one.. 😇
omg Ive inked SO MANY details, but now Im almost done with the inks. For the first panel 😂
but I kind of like how it‘s turning out so far. Hopefully, colours will look good too. I have a very specific vision for it in mind. And i‘m a bit scared I will fuck it up lol
ADSLKGJDSKLJGDKH LOOK AT THIS!!! 😀💖 I can't thank you enough, @cyber54prime --I've always wanted to see my li'l Peapod Squad drawn in a more realistic style closer to the show. They look AMAZING!! And Chops' peapod-print umbrella is making me giggle so much! 🤭 Thank you again!!

Nobody ever managed to determine who infected the apartment complex.
Zee blamed Thorn.
Thorn blamed the holonet.
Fox blamed “the decline of civilization.”
Patch blamed free time.
Gregor blamed destiny.
The truth was probably some combination of all five.
It started quietly enough.
After the unfortunate AO3 Incident, Zee had made the mistake of trying to explain fanfiction to a room full of curious clones.
“It isn’t just romance,” she’d said, desperately trying to defend one of her favorite hobbies.
“There are adventure stories.”
“Alternate universes.”
“Mysteries.”
“Comedies.”
“People rewrite endings they didn’t like.”
“They explore characters.”
“They ask ‘what if?’”
The apartment had gone suspiciously quiet.
Looking back, she should have recognized that silence.
It was the sound of several thousand identical brains simultaneously having the same terrible idea.
⸻
A week later, Tech discovered that AO3 had gained approximately three hundred new accounts.
All of them had been created from Republic IP addresses.
He assumed it was a coincidence.
Then he looked at the usernames.
DefinitelyNotCommanderFox
HardcaseExplodesThings
CT-6116_Writes
CoffeeIsACharacter
TheRealCommanderGregor
TheRealCommanderGregor2
TheRealCommanderGregorPleaseReadThisOne
Tech quietly closed his datapad.
Then reopened it.
The accounts were still there.
“…Hunter.”
Hunter looked up from sharpening a knife.
“Hm?”
“I believe the GAR has discovered creative writing.”
Hunter frowned.
“…Should we be worried?”
Tech scrolled further.
“I honestly cannot tell.”
⸻
Hardcase became famous first.
Not because he was good.
Because he was enthusiastic.
His debut story was titled:
You, Me and My Beloved Z6 Rotary Blaster
It was tagged:
Fluff.
Friends to Lovers.
Mutual Pining.
Slow Burn.
Weapon Appreciation.
Nobody had expected much.
Until they read it.
It wasn’t really a romance.
Not intentionally.
It was four hundred thousand words of Hardcase lovingly describing every scratch, every repair, every mission he’d survived with his beloved Z6.
He gave the blaster dialogue.
The blaster had opinions.
The blaster comforted him after difficult missions.
There was an entire chapter where he painstakingly cleaned every component while reflecting on trust.
The comments were overwhelmingly supportive.
“I cried when Chapter 67 revealed she’d been damaged on Umbara.”
“I cannot believe you’ve made me emotionally invested in a machine gun.”
“This is somehow healthier than half the romances on this website.”
Hardcase printed every comment.
⸻
The Coruscant Guard developed a niche.
Nobody was surprised.
Every single story somehow involved paperwork.
Stone wrote detective mysteries.
Thorn continued his increasingly famous coffee romances.
And an anonymous Guard trooper writing under the name CaffIsMyCoPilot accidentally became one of AO3’s most beloved comedy authors.
His masterpiece was:
Seven Cups of Caf and One Existential Crisis
It followed an unnamed Guard trooper hopelessly in love with the caf machine on Level Four.
Not metaphorically.
Literally.
The caf machine was written like a difficult romantic partner.
It refused to cooperate.
It broke at inconvenient moments.
It dispensed terrible caf whenever the protagonist forgot to clean it.
Readers adored it.
Nobody ever discovered the author was Thire.
Not even Thorn.
⸻
The 212th interpreted fanfiction as an opportunity for revenge.
Boil wrote exactly one story.
It was called:
The Curious Haunting of Unit Pebble.
Every single chapter accused Waxer of being responsible.
Waxer immediately responded by writing the sequel.
Pebble’s Revenge: A Botanical Tragedy
In which Boil’s beloved plant left him to pursue a healthier relationship with Pebble.
The comment section devolved into a full-scale argument between members of the 212th.
Outside readers assumed it was incredibly dedicated roleplay.
It wasn’t.
Boil and Waxer were simply arguing through literature.
Cody eventually discovered both stories.
He sighed.
Left exactly one comment.
“Canonically inaccurate.”
Neither of them ever recovered.
⸻
The Wolfpack treated writing like after-action reports.
Every sentence was concise.
Every description practical.
Until Sinker published:
The Blanket Offensive.
A gripping domestic drama in which Commander Wolffe accidentally adopted twelve blankets over the course of one Coruscanti winter and became emotionally incapable of throwing any away.
Nobody expected it to become wildly popular.
Readers described it as:
“Surprisingly moving.”
“A beautiful meditation on healing.”
“The blanket symbolism destroyed me.”
Wolffe quietly bought Sinker lunch the next day.
Neither of them acknowledged why.
⸻
Then Gregor discovered tags.
Nobody should have allowed Gregor near tags.
His first story had ninety-seven of them.
The title alone required scrolling.
My Future Wife Definitely Loves Me, This Is Not Delusion, Captain Rex Stop Editing My Summary
The story itself lasted approximately three paragraphs.
The remaining seventy pages consisted of author’s notes.
Every chapter ended with:
Author’s Note: Zee if you’re reading this, dinner on Thursday?
Zee replied exactly once.
“Gregor, I’m literally sitting across from you.”
Gregor printed the reply.
Framed it.
Claimed it was “progress.”
⸻
Commander Bacara quietly read all of these developments over tea.
He found the hobby… pleasant.
Creative.
Unexpectedly therapeutic.
Patch assumed the commander might eventually try writing something himself.
He was wrong.
Commander Bacara had no interest in publishing.
Instead, he filled a leather notebook.
No usernames.
No uploads.
No audience.
Just stories.
Short ones.
Thoughtful ones.
Sometimes about Kamino.
Sometimes about the Marines.
Sometimes about Copper chasing autumn leaves.
Sometimes about Miss Zee falling asleep over university books with Mephisto draped across her shoulders.
He never showed anyone.
Not because he was embarrassed.
Simply because they were written for himself.
Patch discovered the notebook entirely by accident months later when Bacara asked him to fetch a report from his desk.
The notebook had slipped open.
Just enough for Patch to glimpse the first page.
The handwriting was impossibly neat.
The title read:
Things Worth Remembering.
Patch didn’t read further.
He quietly closed it again.
Some stories, he thought, didn’t need an audience.
⸻
Then there was Fox.
Everyone wondered if Fox would ever write.
Fox insisted he had no interest whatsoever.
Writing fiction was inefficient.
Impractical.
A poor use of government resources.
Three months later, Tech noticed a brand-new anonymous account.
No profile picture.
No biography.
One story.
Twenty-three thousand words.
Title:
Standard Operating Procedure 14-B: If Your Idiot Brother Has Somehow Fallen Through A Skylight Again
It was a painfully accurate comedy about the Coruscant Guard dealing with increasingly ridiculous emergencies while one exhausted commander attempted to maintain order.
Nobody knew who wrote it.
Except Thorn.
Because Fox had accidentally cited the Republic Emergency Response Manual in Chapter Three.
Only one person in the entire GAR voluntarily quoted legislation in fiction.
