Apparently, Miss Pitch is not entirely sure about this book yet… but I think she’s coming around.
is she using the edge to rub her cheek? Pangur does that a lot with my books, and she gets spit droplets everywhere
Another one for "objectively funny crimes should not be punished"
It's always "you can't just walk out of work when you've had enough" and never "how was going outside? Did you get part of your soul back? Is there joy out there?"
Kinda funny story: we took our cat for a check-up back in 2024 and things went smoothly but when we got the documentation I think there was a slight miscommunication about when he was last weighed and how much he weighed.
He is... dust...
Congratulations on your 95 year old domestic short-air.
Important question
Okay but I think these two are onto something
Test subject
(no bird was harmed)
Joy and whimsy detected! This post is joyful and whimsical!

Took Ollie to the vet today. And I'm not gonna say who. But ONE of us had a panic attack immediately after the checkup and wouldn't get out of the sink
it was a difficult morning for everybody
which outfit would you rather wear? (ca. 1860-1863)

requested by: @madscientistfrommars
request: purple ballgowns from the early 1860s
commentary from the curator: interestingly, purple seemed like a pretty popular choice for daywear in these years, but not as much for eveningwear/ballgowns. however, I did find these two, so I hope they match what you were looking for! ☺️
We stopped trying to buy cat beds because the cats just pull drying kitchen towels down and sit on those
Kneading mat made for kitty comfort? No. Stolen kitchen towel from the stove handle? Yes.
We just let them do it at this point. Stealing the towels must be a form of enrichment for them or something and it reminds us to wash our towels more frequently.
I bought Ollie a bed and he refused to use it so I commandeered it for a chair cushion. Only when it was throughly broken in dud he deign to nap upon it. I think its a combo of "smells like home" and "good location"
I like mums lap as baby for cleaning beans!
I was too small to know what fastidious means
I can’t remember if I told you guys this but my grandpa paid a guy to put up a rock retaining wall in the backyard when my grandparents moved into their house in 1966. They live at the bottom of a mountain. The wall finally collapsed this year and my grandfather with dementia was PISSED OFFFFFF and he wanted so badly to call the guy who did it and chew him out for doing a bad job. My grandma is trying to explain that the wall lasted 60 years and the guy who did the work is probably dead and it TURNS OUT HE IS STILL ALIVE. Now we’re worried grandpa is going to get through to him (small town) and we’re going to see two 85 year old men come to blows over a rock wall that has been there since the mid-60s. My grandpa is a scrapper, he’s been to jail over a bar fight, the possibility that he WOULD fight this guy is high.
To top it off? The stone mason is the only person in town with one arm so grandpa would definitely recognize him if he saw him. If that is your grandpa, please protect him from my grandpa.
