If you ignore the pins sticking out the sides (holding the binding in place), Project 3 is essentially finished. I decided against trying to do the jagged line quilting, because my machine is making really clanky noises and probably needs to be taken in for some maintenance, but mostly because I’m lazy and tired and just want to be done. I have to make sure to be up earlyish tomorrow, because I forgot to print out the entry forms for each piece so I need to stop at Staples, and I need to buy a thin pice of dowelling and cut it into three hangers so I need to stop at Home hardware…all before getting to work at 11. I’ll run everything up to the Gallery at lunchtime.
I met Hayley over the weekend at ECCC, so preemptively I made a small cross stitch to give to her. She was super, super nice and when I showed her the cross stitch she was like, “Oh my god! You made this? You’re so sweet, that’s incredible,” and promised to read the letter I’d ribboned to the backside of the frame later. I’m really happy with how this one turned out despite its minimalist feel. =]

There! Now I have all my favorite Avengers in crochet form.
Natasha ended up taking way longer than I expected, but I’m quite happy with how she turned out.
Here is the whole team. i was going to add leah but i lost half this file halfway through and had to re-start from scratch so no leah at this time.
Here’s my first Winter Soldier bear, I call him Winter Bear. I made him partly because I had a lot of feels after seeing CA:TWS, partly because I’d found really awesome metallic gray striped fabric that reminded me of the cybernetic arm, and partly because I needed someone to interact with Clint during my hosting month.
Then I had a mighty need for a smaller version, which I’m naming bb!Winter Bear:
I also made Carol Danbears (so coined by Knitpool, and I’m still really peeved that’s a much better name than anything I could think of. **shakes fist at Knitpool**).
Winter Bear and Carol Danbears were adapted from Burda sewing pattern 7409, and then I shrank the Winter Bear pattern by 33% to get a pattern for bb!Winter Bear.
We’re celebrating Pi Day with this epic Ultron-inspired cherry pie! Tasty, yet menacing: http://bit.ly/1GPBCYK

fira211 I made the floral shield from three different fabrics. Just went on Joanns Fabrics website and sorted the florals by colours and picked my favourite that (and cheapest) that were red, blue, and white(ish). I have a bunch of left over fabric so I’m probably gonna make a bunch of smaller shields to put on other things.
I have a huge hole on the knee of my jeans. I should patch it. =D
Hi
BUCKY BEAR (WINTER SOLDIER VER.)
re-up
because i killed the original blog harhar
It was my birthday yesterday and as has become tradition for me I made another Hawkeye cake. This is the cover of Hawkeye #22 in buttercream! It hasn’t come out as good as my last two, but I think it was mainly because this was a more complicated image with more colours in it and I did some of the piping the wrong way round but, overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

CAPTAIN AMERICA SCARF (STEALTH SUIT VER.)
guys go get yourself some iron ons and make all of the things
With Spiderwoman getting her own comic, I thought I’d make something to honor this wonderful character of the Marvel universe. :)

Cardigan with Captain America Shield by tntnaps1
A cross stitch pattern for one of my favorite panels from Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye! See the finished product here. It ended up being 8” x 8” on 14 count aida. I split floss skeins in half and used three threads for all of the stitching. These are the DMC color numbers that I used, but feel free to look for better matches if you don’t like them. I needed two black skeins, and one of everything else.
White
Black- 310
Purple- 340
Shirt Blue- 3768
Pants Blue- I kinda forgot to check the number before tossing out the wrapper, I’M SO SORRY!
Bow- 610
Skin- 842
Hair- 744
I would suggest doing the black outlines from the bottom photo first, because then it’s basically just coloring inside the lines. I’m gonna be honest, the stitched details (especially the face) were kind of a pain in the ass, and I mostly improvised while looking at the actual image from the comic. I used three strands for the details, except the bowstring and arrow, for which I used the whole piece of floss. You can either click on the pictures to enlarge them, or right click and save them to print them out. Good luck!
