An equally valid question is, what effect does Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire have on his life? What can he afford now that he couldn't afford a year ago? What doors are open to him that were closed before? If he only had 100 billion dollars, or 10 billion, or 1, what hardship would he suffer that he's not suffering now?

The answer is, none. He is way past the point where accumulating more wealth can make any difference to him. Yet accumulating more wealth is all he seems to care about, and it's not even making him happy. He's causing suffering on a mass scale and helping dismantle democracy, and for what? It's pathological at this point.

I think the short answer for why there were regretful Nader voters but not regretful '16 or '24 Stein voters or anti-voters is online radicalization tbh. Back in 2000, you didn't have the entire internet constantly blasting "Dems suck shit" in your face for years on end, or an online community of self-righteous assholes constantly reassuring you that your indefensible, immoral decision on Election Day was akshewally radically progressive praxis and that you're a poor little meow meow who couldn't ever do anything wrong. It's just a daily echo chamber where people can be insulated from the consequences of their bad choices to a certain extent and coddled that they were sooooo right and everyone else is just a filthy [insert leftist buzzwords here] for pointing to the blood on their hands. Yep I'm not shutting up about the fact that women--including Hillary Clinton--warned everyone things like this would happen 10 years ago, and were screamed at for "scaremongering" over SCOTUS.
