Awkward first post

So, I decided to make a tumblr and therefore I'm prepared for the first couple of posts and experiences to be messy and awkward, since I've never really used this platform before. Yet, this is another place where writers and fans of writers live. Since I am both of those things, it's better late than never!

Right now, I'm just sharing things I do on my website, namely the Character Scenario posts. I'm pretty sure my friend that first introduced me to these exercises found them on Tumblr, but I've yet to rediscover them, so I'm making my own and sharing them here!

Character Scenarios

Character Scenarios is a really great way to practice character development, defeat writer’s block, or simply have fun with your characters.

Maybe I will lean into more of all my OCs as time goes on and take on jobs that their personalities simulate. I call this job interest, Akiro. XD My mentor/counselor character / character in most need of counseling. XD Wheee!

Based on a conversation I had recently, this is an examination of the desperate desire to be normal. Since this was not an update on my books, I'll say that draft 12 of book 1 is with a beta reader right now and I am figuring out how to make new book 2 work. :D

Do you write metaphors into your characters? What abstract idea or theme might your favorite character symbolize?

I should really stop this pattern of turning my updates into a dream journal of sorts. I made a pact with my subconscious long ago that I wouldn't lucid dream anymore. Actually writing down my dreams is a dangerous practice.

Dreams And Writing

I can't believe how long it took me to pick up this book. Absolutely my new favorite. Reminded me slightly of A Spear Cuts Through Water and made me think about the Turn of the Screw while remaining completely unique as its own story. Read this now so we can yell wordlessly about it together!
