See here’s the thing. I hate modern dating. I’m in my mid-20’s and it just sucks.
I would very much rather find, fall in love with and marry my ultimate kpop idol. I would so love if we were fated or destined to be together. (And if, in the likelihood he isn’t, at least he is raising my standards.)
But yes, anything can happen, and you bet I’ll try and go to their first concert out here, and pay for hi-touch if there is one. For the small chance to meet his eyes and have him fall in love with mine.
But there is absolutely no way I’m going to sasaeng this shit. I’m not out here finding out their hotel info, figuring out what flights they’re on, or hacking into their personal kakao accounts to try and connect with them.
Please treat your idols with respect. They’re human too. And they deserve so much.
Dealing with your obsessed dumbass isn’t included.
NU'EST IS HAVING A COMEBACK IN MARCH!!1!!!!
And yes, I know it's "just a digital single" and most probably they won't even perform at music shows like Inkigayo. BUT I missed Minhyun so much :'( We have to stream the new song like crazy when it gets released so our nubles get tons of first places.
Enlistment, contract expiration, hiatus, members leaving, disbandment..
This will be pretty long. Go and leave while you have the time.
These are just some of the truths that Kpop groups go through that Kpop fans should, and eventually do, learn how to deal with.
Nothing lasts forever.
Idols grow old. Fans grow old, too.
Idols mature. Fans become mature, too.
Preferences change.
One way or another, for whatever reasons, the groups that we love will part ways.
It’s a sad reality but a reality, nonetheless.
When the inevitable happens, don’t let the negativity get hold of your mind.
When someone enlists, don’t hate on a system that was originally established out of necessity.
When someone doesn’t decide to renew their contract, don’t go hating oh so blindly. That someone has been under that contract for 5+ years. Pretty sure there are more than acceptable reasons for them to not renew.
When someone leaves, don’t start the blame game. Again, there must be a more than acceptable reason that they did so. It’s not easy to leave a job that you’ve had for years and part with the people you have already bonded with, right? These idols must feel the same.
When a group disbands, don’t go on SNS and call them selfish or any shit in line with that. A disbandment is one of the hardest decisions these idols have to make. They trained, promoted and stayed together, worked and grew for years. It’s basically what they only know and do. Do you think that a such a decision would be made lightly? There must have been multitude of reasons for them to do it. And that’s just for group members. You still have the company and the staff to consider.
In short, take the mature route. It’s okay to get upset and be vocal about that but don’t go hating unless you have all the facts.
So, you know what, better enjoy the content that you are getting atm. Show appreciation towards your bias group/s and be nice to people. Buy the merchs that you can afford now. Have fun.
Don’t waste your time and effort hating on a group or a fandom because that shit will just take your time away from actually enjoying your limited time.
Live and let live.
This 👏👏👏👏

Talking about sexual harassment in the kpop industry ⚠
Hearing what happened to Ateen is absolutely mortifying. Knowing how kpop idols are treated more like products than people, I’m sure there’s a lot labels that exploit their power over trainees and idols in abusive ways and that most definitely includes sexual harassment, similar to all the cases during the #MeToo movement we had last year. If you’re a kpop fan, be vocal about how horrible the industry is in how it treats people. #JusticeForAteen
I hope their comeback’s concept would be Knights, like Overcome era.
